Can (sadly) confirm, the translation is accurate. She wrote 己が弱い ("I am weak"), with the lower statement, next to the arrow being これです (literally "it's this"). "It's because I'm weak" is a reasonable translation.
I'm hoping that 弱い doesn't have as much baggage as "weak" does in English, and that she means "In this moment, I happen to be in a weakened physical state" rather than "I am an inherently weak person"
@@sus_gus The word itself is pretty much the same in both languages, and carries the same implications (i.e. physical, emotional, and personal "weakness" all use 弱い ). That said, Japanese is pretty context-heavy, so it could be interpreted in a few different ways. She could have meant it as, "I have a weak physical constitution and am therefore prone to illness like this". She also could have meant it as, "I do not have the personal strength that I should." That said, taking personal responsibility for things - even things that are not really your fault - is very normal in Japan, so saying that you're a weak person is not necessarily as much of a red flag as it would be in the west.

May all the affected HoloX member get well soon even to the sadly graduating Chloe... I hope Cover is doing something about this... Mental health issues has always been underestimated in healthcare around the world... It only has been getting more attention lately... Mental health affects the physical body quite strongly if underestimated.
What's worse is that Iroha's falling ill at the moment will make a lot of uninformed people think it's because she's working too hard at Hololive, when anyone who follows her knows that she's had to take time off a lot of times because of personal and family problems.
On the one hand, I kind like the idea of a Gozaru calligraphy stream, since it feels like the kind of thing she could do in general. Aside, everyone seems to be reacting way too strongly to it. She's had stressors for a while now, and the timing of all of this does suck but it's no one's fault. She wanted to celebrate with the fans and enjoy her anniversary. All this chatter is just gonna add more stress.
Iroha’s always cute but as someone who stayed up to watch her 3d Live as the stream was still titled, i wish she had changed the thumbnail or something, i could have gone to sleep earlier. i can’t read Japanese so 3D Live was literally all i could read 😅 hope she gets well soon, i swear i think Hololive is overworking these girls these days considering how many are either not streaming due to health or are just straight up quitting. i’m getting a little concerned.
Just believe in them, i know it's hard for the fans.. but yeah, the talent already said there's no one to blame. We don't know who accepts the jobs to make em like this (the talents/ manager/ someone higher? ) Just believe in them n give em some love is the best way we can do no need drama at all
Sometimes it's just difficult circumstance. As a hypothetical: You get someone coming to you saying they want HoloX for a project and you're one of the members with a lot on the plate already you're probably in a position where it'd be better if you turned it down, but you don't because you don't want to cause issues for the other 4 girls. The only thing that people should be doing in the end is listening to the talents. If they say don't spread rumors, don't blame anyone, etc then as a fan if you're not following their lead you're causing them problems.
1:46 is it bad that I think management has said this to her or have I just been reading too much twitter doom posts this weekend. wtf is cover doing to be letting her get like this in the first place.
I can't. This is too much. I don't even know what is hololive anymore. I ... I just can't. I quit. I don't want to engage with them anymore ... Goodbye forever, hololive ...
Hololive might be going down a bad hole honestly. So many influential members that carried a lot of JP and overseas viewerships are leaving and are all for a lot of the same reasons??? Now a lot of those members who left are now going indie??? Yea something's wrong here 🤔
I am aware of the company's growth. They have more work to do and must earn more money to keep the business going. But if they don't change their minds about part of their work and give their talents a break at least once a week, they will all dying
My goodness mental health awareness is so bad in Japan. The fact that she blames herself on being weak instead of accepting that her environment produced this response is crazy. There is no way its all on her.

real talk, I can see the pattern of the graduation. It happen to talents that have been hiatus for a while and then suddenly getting mlittle bit more active in streaming... I wouldn't be surprised if Shion will graduate next year
Including Chloe, Hololive JP has only had 4 total graduations in it's 7 years of existence, of which 3 were members who were extremely close with Kanata & Shion: Coco, Aqua and now Chloe.. so I imagine both of them are not feeling that great atm
Isn't Hololive pushing it's talents a bit too much these days? 3 and now soon to be 4 graduations with a very short time in between. And all of those members except one hinting/outright stating that Hololive homework is the reason. Edit: Just found out Fauna's graduating too so that's 5 graduations. - Members taking long hiatus breaks some even taking two back to back like Gura. - All of the members talk about "homework" that they have to do even after streaming. And not in a positive way even though they take great pains to assure us that it's all voluntary. But more and more of the Holomems are stressed and facing health problems these days. I'd like to believe best girl Yagoo cares a lot about the people working under him. But all these cases of overworked physically suffering women in the company are sending bad vibes all around.
The way i see it. They need better support structures at this point. A Healthy Talent is something worth fighting for. Workloads need to be managed better as well. If you scale up your business: there will always be a lot of opportunities. 1. You hire more support. You let the talent focus on just doing what they do best, . 2. You start managing schedules with the intent of Project Managing the workloads and schedule in delegation to a specific administrative workforce.. 3. You re-evaluate your workflows and business processes with your talent in mind. Your talent is your lifeline. I'm sorry my brothers and sisters I'm just really frustrated, because what's happening is an effect of fire fighting what comes their way. and i've seen it all too well throughout my career in corporate structures with workloads never ending and sometimes these things break people stress i mean.
Yeah, I'm frustrated too and lash out at cover the moment the notice dropped. But after thinking it through, there is no reason to believe that they haven't done that, chloe also mentioned that her manager had been making adjustments to make sure she is fine, we also have stories of other talents like mumei when she was in JP and felt sick because she doesnt want to eat and staffs came in buying groceries for her. Graduation doesn't happen in a night, even if we assume cover is just another corporate, no corpo want one of their revenue source cut.
@@IrvineL1 Yeah i mean, for me i accept the graduation. What i don't accept is multiple talents getting sick being in and out of hospital, just earlier we can see it with Iroha with her silent stream. Clearly there is something wrong i prioritize their health and well being first and foremost. and that's something Cover should start working on.
There is no perfect business, things like that will always happen with any type of business structure. Lap+ just said last time that they are free to take workload as much as they want and this is aside from the mandatory workload which definitely related to idol work. Some of them definitely took more than what they can bite because let us face it they sometimes want to soar high, they want to reach the top quickly, they want to earn more and there are some people who are getting conscious and anxious seeing their genmates getting more numbers than them. Comparing this to the companies that ive been I can say that they are more aware and making adjustments for the talents.
I really hate these passive aggressive comments trying to blame the cover staff while under the guise of friendly nature and feedback. Time and time again, hololive talents have mentioned how easy it is for them to take much needed rests or breaks. They always make it clear that hololive and staff aren't to blame, and yet people still try to find a way to shift blame on them.
@@iDelayOnyeah it must've been particularly hard for her, holox is one of the gen with the most projects, and one of her genmates just graduated, it must've been a great mental toll for her. But like I mentioned before, multiple talents have come out on how particular staffs are with talents well being, so i just don't want to assume malice out of cover or anything like that, but i can see them oversighting something and I hope they can fix it
Best wishes and a sensible recovery for Iroha. Very considerate of her to stream just to not worry her fans even if she should be resting. Is it just me or as of recent this last year and a half Hololive has been plagued with their talent getting stressed out because of corporate pushing for talent to deliver on their obligations for work? It's almost as if corporate is the cause of the talents' stress demanding productivity so profits keep funneling into their account. It's like nearly every company really. Nearly all big companies are more interested in making huge profits rather than taking care of their talent (workers). That and all the red tape for permissions the talent has to deal with is too much. At this rate Hololive will end up where Nijisanji is at but via a different route. Nijisanji bled out talent. Hololive is suffering a slower internal bleeding of talent but the end effect is the same. Inevitably VTubers will end up going Indie all the way at this rate. There's nothing like being your own boss and setting your own schedule and responsibilities. The price for the benefits and perks of being a corporate VTuber seem to be too high now more than in the early age of VTubing.

I'm worried about Cover and the girls workload... Several of them are just not streaming anymore cuz too much "homework" and they say they are tired on their x accounts... Cover's new direction might not be it for many of the girls and we are seeing the results with 3 graduations and 2 of them stating "management/view point disagreement". Maybe Cover is a soft "black company"? I hope it's not the case
Look, I understand being a streamer and entertainer isn't the hadest job in the world (unlike some streamers said) but a reminder that voice is one of the biggest asset for streamers and Vtubers, especially the one working with corpo.
It's pretty fucking hard when you have to work 16+ hours every day to meet your 'quota'
Hololive working environment not as healthy as we know
PRECIOUS GOZARU! 😭 Hoping the best for her health🫶🏻
Thanks man. Or else i would have just staring at the words
Having a similar condition, (though it doesn’t last nearly as long) I can understand how frustrating this can be. I just hope she’s getting a ton of love and support from those closest to her
1:46 WHEN I FIND THE PERSON WHO DARES TO SLANDER IROHA BY CALLING HER WEAK!!! 🤬
🫂 Big hugs to iroha and HoloX girls!
Wow, I never knew that was a thing. That's terrible, poor old Iroha! I hope she gets better, shes very sweet. She must be going through a lot of stress at the moment, poor soul.
Thanks for the translation. I can usually get the jist of things when listening to Japanese, but reading it is a different story.
Suisei: Cast heal
Iroha: Healed
1:45 If Iroha-san counts as weak, I want to be weak too
Wishing speedy recovery to our beloved Gozaru!
I like Iroha's voice, hope she gets well soon
字が綺麗だし大人の文字。
Someone send Suisei there to headpat Ninja Samurai!!!
I hope our little Ninja gets well soon.
This stress… probs a sign she’s one of the once next to go
Awwww Iroha :(((((
I hope she gets well soon!
Hololive is facing another reckoning that could cause a significant change within the company
Overworked talents
1:48 no. it's because sickness happens to everyone. we're humans. No one is immune. Not your fault.
Hololive will be in a nijianji esque controversy by the new year. Mark my words
Ok, Hololive management and Mr. Yagoo, we need a talk!
I know it has nothing to do with Chloe. But it's still not a good sign that the talents are stressed.
cute iroha still streamed under all that take some rest soon... and imagine if that was chloe writing..😂
Poor Iroha 😢😢😢
I wish gozaru san a speedy recovery 😊
We need to Psync with Iroha, stat!
May all the affected HoloX member get well soon even to the sadly graduating Chloe...
I hope Cover is doing something about this...
Mental health issues has always been underestimated in healthcare around the world...
It only has been getting more attention lately...
Mental health affects the physical body quite strongly if underestimated.
it doesn't help that Japan, and Asian culture in general, doesn't believe mental health exists.
What's worse is that Iroha's falling ill at the moment will make a lot of uninformed people think it's because she's working too hard at Hololive, when anyone who follows her knows that she's had to take time off a lot of times because of personal and family problems.
PEople can get sick if they get too tired too, because their bodies are too weak.
She's not a baby
@Arassar yep, my point exactly.
I was wondering what was going on with her. Appreciate the translation.
The 3rd anniversary for HoloX seems to be a disaster... Poor girls
Iroha’s always cute but as someone who stayed up to watch her 3d Live as the stream was still titled, i wish she had changed the thumbnail or something, i could have gone to sleep earlier. i can’t read Japanese so 3D Live was literally all i could read 😅
hope she gets well soon, i swear i think Hololive is overworking these girls these days considering how many are either not streaming due to health or are just straight up quitting. i’m getting a little concerned.
Props to the translator... i know a fair bit of Japanese but i can only read like 75% of this lol, her writing is a bit hard to read
Just believe in them, i know it's hard for the fans.. but yeah, the talent already said there's no one to blame.
We don't know who accepts the jobs to make em like this (the talents/ manager/ someone higher? )
Just believe in them n give em some love is the best way we can do no need drama at all
Sometimes it's just difficult circumstance.
Goodbye forever, hololive ...
man i mean what happen after sakamata chloe now this kazama iroha? really end of year of 2024 and the begining of 2025 is not really ok
Bro stress induced muteness. I think HoloX might go down another member if things don't ease up in Hololive.
Wtf is management doing that the amount of stress is giving talents aphonia
Hololive might be going down a bad hole honestly. So many influential members that carried a lot of JP and overseas viewerships are leaving and are all for a lot of the same reasons??? Now a lot of those members who left are now going indie??? Yea something's wrong here 🤔
This concept is actually quite interesting imo. Definitely wanna see more
I am aware of the company's growth.
They have more work to do and must earn more money to keep the business going.
But if they don't change their minds about part of their work and give their talents a break at least once a week, they will all dying
Gws miss gozaru !!
Wtf is going on over there bro?
My goodness mental health awareness is so bad in Japan.
The fact that she blames herself on being weak instead of accepting that her environment produced this response is crazy. There is no way its all on her.
how a country can be so advanced & so archaic at the same time is truly astonishing
@@cocoqtpi What truly astonishing is how the most mentally ill country in the world- who have elected old men with dementia to be president three times now- think they're so much better than everyone else.
Look at your own country first than judge others, kid.
@@darkwar232100 Little blud doesnt know that two wrongs dont make a right.
Gozaru chan going through a lot of stress. I hope she can sit back and relax for some time until she fully recovers. She's been going through a lot..
She could have just typed it. But she really wanted to convey her words to us personally.
real talk, I can see the pattern of the graduation.
Honestly I was expecting certain graduations this year related to health issues. But definitely not Chloe.
I'm worried about several talents rn.
@@deadbob5514 It is such an incredibly weird coincidence ngl.
And here comes the rats and doom posters, to talk about things they don't know at f'ing all and twisting facts
people are just concerned, any normal person would be especially given whats been going on
@cocoqtpi I can understand that, but it's not an excuse to spread misinformation and speculations
But like I mentioned before, multiple talents have come out on how particular staffs are with talents well being, so i just don't want to assume malice out of cover or anything like that, but i can see them oversighting something and I hope they can fix it
I know Holopro wants to capitalize on the success they're having, but it's starting to look like they're draining their talents way too much
Nah man that wasnt iroha
They need to work less.
Training her silence sneaking skills. Lore intensifies
Bro what's happening on hololive
Nah...this girls need to stop taking too much work i dont its either the girl own choice or cover force them...i hope its their own choice
