Watching the Santa cruiser in those wonderful views really got the emotional with a bit of tear in my eyes. I’m now 79 years old but when I was 15 years old, I took a Sena cruiser from Chicago to Portland Oregon alone. My parents sent me to spend a vacation with my grandparents, on the way back I took a cruiser bus back for three days and two nights. What a wonderful trip it was both ways.

I road them between NYC and DC. They were the coolest buses in their day. Rest room bottom stairs right before you went up.

That was an original twin 4V-71 coach with classic views of the Lincoln Tunnel and 495 Helix and the original bus terminal on the midtown east side of NYC, before Port Authority. ABSOLUTELY HISTORIC!!!!!

When I first heard the introductory music from The Rat Race, in the late 1950s, I loved it, and went straight home and played it on the piano. This was my kind of music! Cynthia McLaglen

At Last! Somebody has the good sense to post just the Great Elmer B. Title Music of this film I have the Movie music LP Bernstein put out with this track on it but although its really good, this version has the string section in it , making 3 different themes in the main title. Thank you for uploading this Great piece of forgotten movie jazz music

Nice shot of passing through Cleveland - my home town.

And it also passed right through Philly as well. I was born and raised right here in the Philadelphia suburbs. That bus was going right up Broad Street with City Hall right there in the background.

As a fan of MYGTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000, I wish this went on just a few seconds more, with Tony Curtis going to his hotel--down the block from a movie house with the double feature THE KILLER SHREWS and THE GIANT GILA MONSTER
