No need to limit oneself. Get some of each!
Brand-ism and anti-brandism are both silly, find stuff that is well-made and appeals to you aesthetically within your budget, regardless of what's on the headstock...my personal favorite is the vox teardrop so fender and gibson are just side pieces on my roster anyway
gear acquisition syndrom!!!!
Oh if I only had the budget and space for all of them!
This guy gets it.
PRS and Gibson's price points command such a big leap of faith that it attracts people that will go the fanboy route.
Haters are so strong because the group that doesn't want to make that leap (or have made the leap and were disappointed $😬🔥$) are going to grow at a bigger rate than those that have.
The fact that you guys never seem to run out of topics makes this channel endlessly entertaining.
Lol, they ran out of topics years ago, half these videos are them discussing the lastest Netflix show.
Gibson, Fender, Martin, Taylor and Esteban. I have several of each and they are great.
I have all the Esteban guitar.
No matter where you go, there you are and it's Fender.
As a lefty....we aren't fanboys of any makers we just pray we would be considered when they make cool stuff. Not just another made overseas on a "new" color. Hell they don't even make left handed "artist" guitars when the artist is left handed!
AMEN!🙏🏼
I feel that. I’m a fan of companies that make cool left handed guitars regardless where they’re made. We don’t get enough love. I mean, we only get the MIM Kurt Cobain signature model. We don’t get the cool burst top Les Pauls, we only get an SSS setup on strats. We get shafted.
Testify!
Acoustic it’s for sure Martin.
I agree with that .
I gotta be honest, Martin guitars just sound the best to my ears. Taylor guitars are the prettiest for sure.
I love the sound of Martin's but they never feel comfortable in my talent less hands.
I feel obligated to since I live less than 2 hours from the factory in Nazareth. I dream of getting one, and I can get it there, and they have a service shop as well! No reason to go to a repair luthier when I can go to the luthiers that made it.
Nailed it- PRS has the biggest fan cult/all positive, but Gibson BY FAR if you add the “haters”
Rickenbacker is way up there.
Good call. Although I sold mine.
I love PRS, and I also love Fender and Gibson too. I don’t think I could tie myself to one brand exclusively. I own one from each brand (though Fender will soon move up to two once my custom shop arrives, thanks to you fine people) and they all get play time as they give me something different. Sure, there will usually be one that gets more use than the others, but even that fluctuates over time as my mood or needs change. I guess I just want all the guitars.
Watching this fan boy video holding my Ibanez with a confused look.
Mine is in the closet. AS73 Tobacco burst. Needs more respect.
Strandberg in my hands, but I’m feeling the same.
@@garyelmenthaler1608 AF75 here
I own the following basses... Wal MK1, Fender Master Built Jazz, Warwick Master Built Thumb, and Spector USA NS4, but when I buy guitar, it's 100% PRS... I have a "Core Special" and a "Private Stock" 594 Hollow Body I with Brazilian Rosewood, and. treasure them both a lot!
I'm a bass player, and as a teen, my first pro bass was a Gibson EB 4L. After a while, it became difficult to play, and I bought a used 1970's Fender P Bass. From that day forward, Fender basses have been my gold standard for electric bass. My other favorite Bass is a Music Man Sting Ray. It also has a very comfortable neck, finger board and feel of a Fender bass.
a Martin, a Fender tele and an ES 335 are the 3 guitars I cannot be without. When covid lockdown happened I instantly ordered my first Martin online and love it completely...it was the bucket list first purchase when it seemed the world was over.
Fender for me! Guilty as charged! I have been at it for quite a while, and a Strat with a Princeton Reverb works so well for me personally. In another note, I think most guitars can go from good to great with a good set up from a Luthier. I will say, the best quality guitar out of the box I’ve had is an EBMM. I just didn’t love the guitar.
I love my PRS, Gibson and Epiphone guitars. All of them are great and I don’t get angry because someone doesn’t agree with me. Play what makes you happy and don’t worry what someone else plays.
I think you hit on something that was very perceptive: The most dedicated cult is not one of the positive cults, it's the Gibson hater cult. As for me, I went through a phase where I'd only take a Mesa Boogie out any time I was playing, but recently, I've converted to being a believer in Dr. Z amps.
I recently bought two Taylor's and a PRS when updating my guitars. Nothing to do with being a fan boy of either brand, I considered them to be a wise purchasing decision. Both brands are easy to get hold of, reasonably priced (for what you get) and excellent quality. The QC and consistency is much better than on some other brands and they are run by guitar nerds (unlike some big name brands).
I'm pleased with my purchases and especially the support I got from Taylor. Many of Taylor's accessories are excellent quality too so they won me over. My PRS is also excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another guitar from them, maybe not an acoustic though.
Who knows which brand will win me over in the future. I used to like Ovation and Takamine, now not so much. I was a big fan of Martin but while I think they still make some of the world's best acoustic guitars what they are putting out in my price range doesn't quite do it for what I want.
You nailed it!! Gibson haters are the biggest cult. I was thinking it, but thought you'd never say it :) Gibson haters have some serious drive.
I've never played a guitar that I didn't like. I just like some better than others.
8:29 😂I walked into the acoustic section at a music store the other day and the first thing I saw was the massive Taylor wall and I just said “I would never…” 😂
I like Taylor more for acoustic, personally. Martin’s sound amazing but I just haven’t played one yet that felt right in my hand.
I would never,,jk
Guilty as charged! I'm a Taylor fanboi now and forever. Entertaining video.
Fender fanboy here. I like a bit of everything, but Fender first, both in guitars and amps. I'm also an Electroharmonix fan. For acoustics, as a Canadian, I have a soft spot for Seagull. Good guitars at reasonable prices.
Seagull very underrated.
I can understand being a fan of a small builder who you personally know and admire. I can never understand being a fan of any large corporation who doesn’t know or care about you.
I am a PRS Guy thru and thru - being from Maryland living close to the factory - knowing most of the 450 employees that work there and having many convos with Paul smith and Paul miles, Bryan ewald and the like I can tell you that the reason I love prs is probably the same reason people loved fender back in the day ….. they got to talk to the guy that made their guitars … everyone there LOVES and breathes guitar building. And every single one I have gets used every single show …
Now with that being said …. I have a guitar vault … I carry about 9/12 guitars with me on any given run …
6 or 7 are PRS guitars in various tunings and specs …. But sometimes I need a strat … sometimes I need a tele …. Sometimes I need an SG with P90s … sometimes the songs dictate something I need that outweighs the guitar that I’m the most comfortable on …. But I’ve found as long as I love my guitars and the way they play when I buy them and I set them up to my specs … it’s all good … my HOME BASE is prs …. But I have many of other guitars I can use and don’t feel dirty about it if for 2 songs in my set I need my strat 😎🤘🏻 all love .. and Paul will tell you that too … he LOVES all the old guitars .. and never gives us shit if I have to diverge from the prs flag for a specific tone … partly cuz I think that confidence in knowing that I’ll always need and come back to my prss … it’s part of my sound and my records at this point to the point where if I don’t play a prs in the studio … people that arnt me can tell 🤣
My cult is Made in Korea... Squires & Epiphone Les Paul's. Built between 1980-2006. Inexpensive and solid.
And Peerless archtops and Epiphone Casinos.
I’m a PRS fanboy for all the reasons mentioned. But I also like others. If I’m going to battle it’s got to be a PRS.
Over the years as a TV/Film (de)composer I’ve wound up with guitars with very specific sounds. (Yes, I toured with bands for many moons). Therefore, I’ve got some of what you spoke of. But, I think the elephant in the room is what the “sub” brands of the “Majors” are turning out that have really remarkable sounds and build quality. (I’m talking from the $1k area and below) The three most stunning I’m not afraid to take into a bar gig are: The DGT SE, the Epi Bonamassa SG Custom (it was an open case discount from GC) and the one that probably surprised me the most is the Squire Paranormal Nashville Strat. (It was a blemish unit that had been sent back to factory and assigned a new serial #. )
I like to look at that crazy high dollar stuff but, I need tools to werk with, not something I’m gonna freak out about if it gets a scratch.
I bought the cheapest Gibson they sold in 2022. A Les Paul Special Tribute Humbucker model. It made me a fanboy.
I have them all, and then some. My favorite is always…my next one (which is a Taylor 324ce Builders Edition). I also have a real thing for Ovation. I have over 65 guitars. 😊. I will never be any brands fanboy.
The PRS thing is mostly true. I used to be a hardcore Fender fanboy. Then I played my first PRS, an S2. WOW. It was like coming up for air lol. The great thing is it took me out of my Fender only coma. Now I’m big into Gibsons, and I never thought I’d be into them. Just bought my second Reverend too. Interestingly, a close friend is hardcore Gibson hater. He cracks me up because I know he’s just mad that he doesn’t own one.
I have at least one of each, except Martin. I should get one of those, too.
The Les Paul body is a work of art. Just plain sexy. Love those fat, thick tones too. I'm a Martin acoustic fanboy in my 50's and proud of it. Great company and great history. Not the only great acoustics out there, but some of the finest and certainly the father of modern acoustic design.
I own three Fenders (one’s an acoustic…lol), a squire, a Taylor and a PRS…and the one I play the most is the PRS. It’s just a dream to play, so much so I have another PRS on order. I’m not exclusively a PRS fanboy but they’re just so nice to play, I feel like I don’t have to work as hard.
I’ve accepted that I’m a Brian May Guitars fangirl. Only guitar company I’ve bought their lifestyle gear, too. 🤦🏼♀️
I’m with you on that. I have the Brian May red special and it’s the greatest guitar ever made. It’s so comfortable to play and its sounds lend themselves to be used on any genre, so versatile.
@@itslikethesamebutdifferent8020 So true! The whole stigma of “you only play Queen songs in a Queen tribute band” is so wildly false because it’s a really, really versatile guitar. You can do funk, classic rock, Shoegaze, r&b, hard rock… hell, I don’t play metal but I know of people who play metal on a BMG!
I got the Special first, but then I got an Arielle. The fit and finish on my Special is better, but the Arielle is my new favorite. It’s got all of the Red Special DNA (including the short scale), but it’s way more ergonomic: modern c neck with 0.82” neck depth at the first fret, smaller body (which I appreciate since I’m 5’3” and the Special swallows my entire torso up to my armpit) and the tone and volume knobs swapped so the volume is closer.
Now I use my Special for drop D tuning. 😊
My favorite words have become it’s nice but not as good as my PRS 🤷♂️😂
I’m A Novo guy now !! Love my novo’s
You know for years I could not figure out the PRS fans. Like I'm sorry but they've just never done it for me. And here's the ironic thing. I stumbled across a PRS model while looking for something with a piezo. The Hollow Body II in Peacock Blue. Such an odd ball guitar for them for sure. And yet the dang thing has become my primary live guitar. And true to its odd nature I use it in an odd way in a rock outfit with two female singers with classical backgrounds doing our version of old school rock meets modern. Still to this day not found a single PRS that I like outside of this particular guitar. Still get crap from PRS players on not liking them yet playing such an odd guitar. I mean if I was going to be a fan boy for anything it would be to my two different Variax guitars although the PRS was purchased to play live so they can stay home now that Yamaha has stopped making them. Sad days there
HEY! I play a Fender Acoustic Electric @ Church...LOL.... Love the guitar, great sound and BEAUTIFUL CURLY MAPLE FINISH. But, I do know what you mean.....not all guitars are created equally.😎
I have no horse in this race, but I’m vehemently opposed to whoever restrung that Strat @ 1:48. My OCD is screaming out “cut that sh..!”
I'm in love with guitars that are no longer made, American made Guild electrics. I dream bout those things! Own a couple and they were made in the 70's/80's by people who loved their job.👍
The only grandpa's guitar own is a Japanese Guild from the early '70's.
@@vorpalblades Nice!
Got 5 Suhrs and 2 Suhr Amps... damn, i am a fanboy!
Suhr is just a boutique Strat. 😢
I have a 20th Anniversary PRS McCarty with P90s that KILLS. I love the feel of the thicker neck and the sound of the P90s but that's not the only guitar I would play. They always change but at the moment, my favorite guitar is a 2015 Gibson Firebird. I love the sound of the Firebird pickups and the feel of THAT neck and I also really like the Steinberger machine heads. I can't figure out why they're not used on more guitars.
Btw, thanks for the Lowden O-34. It got here much quicker than I was expecting and that guitar is a gem. So light yet so loud.
I am 100% a Jackson fan boy because I was able to take my JS22 a $200 guiatr out of the box a few months ago... Tune it a little and play with it being perfectly set up to spec and very mid... it has great pickups and well crafted and chosen body, neck, stings, bride and maybe tuners and again was made to be very mid great for me a beginner to learn what I like... And I hear they got this from listening to fans and all their guitars now are like this... Which the most expensive Jackson is about $5k and the cheapest $100 and are avable every where and that includes the custom shop... Like What I don't get is how they slip under the radar so much and way Fender their parent company is not as good?
The guitar that I play most often is the CEO 7.I I bought at Casino, followed by my D-18GE. I have many others including an old Washburn Tanglewood, an old Alvarez, an old Harmony...I do like Taylor's practices in a point. I have never found one I wanted. I first played a Taylor in '76. It was all bling and no sing. Not much has changed. I have 2 dreadnoughts, 2 00, 2 000,and a quad 0 that get playtime too. I haven't played my electric guitars in a while...
for us BASS Players, id have to say Fender wins in that category..
Agreed I have 2 fender bases and my hofner
Because Gibson can't make a Bass to save their lives😮
One small exception music man stingray, But I considered that too be just as much a fender as is the P and J .All the best
@@marcel-jt3dy Music Man is good but they are more boutique now then they used to be. I'm a big Sandberg fan now a days
@@marcel-jt3dy And don't forget G&L started by Fender too.
By volume of loudness Martins on acoustic's and Gibson's on electric then you got Fender and Ibanez that have a specific feel against your body. That fifth spot though PRS and Taylor would have to battle it out maybe a cage match.
This is pretty much exactly the same for me. However I do not like PRS at all and would never buy one.
Love lots of brands 😅
Bought my dream 52’ Fender Tele; genuinely aged neck(smooth). LOTS of scratches and gashes in the blond finish( I wanted a Waylon Leather wrap on it so the damage to the finish didn’t bother me). ONLY $20,000…
That’s why Fender is MY favorite! I can AFFORD IT!!!
*looks at the BMG Special I just bought this week and pats the headstock* It’s okay. You’re special in your own way.
I love your videos, please keep making them! PRS does seem to have a harder core following than the others, I think you're right. I just bought my first Guild acoustic guitar and for acoustic guitars I might go exclusively with them because of my budget (the Chinese made models, of course). If I had a bigger guitar budget, I'd go with Martin. The Guild 100 models are solid wood and most of them are around $1000 and below and you can't beat that. They have a great tone to them and are very well built.
Gibson CS LP, Mark Tremonti PRS, Corey Wong Stat are my favorite..
I'm a Fender/Taylor guy, but I have to admit that PRS top to bottom are incredibly impressive and I'd love to have about a dozen of them. Naturally, the only PRS I own is a Silver Sky SE! I grew up loving Gibson, until I had a chance to gig with a Les Paul. My hands just don't agree with that guitar, marvelous as it is. I'd love to get a Firebird, but if it came down to it there's no way I would buy one over a Rivera amp, finally getting a Rickenbacker or a custom shop Strat.
For years I was a die-hard Fender guy. Strats, Jags, Electric XII, '76 Starcaster, the occasional Tele passed through my collection... Even had a couple Fender acoustics and a mandolin. In '01 I moved on to Ric after picking up a 360/12, then a 660, 4003, 5002, 650D. Now I'm about 40/40/10/10 Fender/Gibson/Ric/Taylor.
Had a couple PRS that I've now traded in for more Fenders. Never have liked a Martin.
Because I had this playing, I too had to explain Jonestown to my 10 year. This was NOT what I expected when I fired up this video but it totally worked. 😊
Holy SHIT! Baxter, your hair looks awesome! WTFFFFF?
The most aggressive fanboys are the "Yeah well my $200 guitar I got on Amazon is just as good as any Gibson/Fender!"
Oh my god, the Orangewood fanboys are the worst, they seriously think their $200 plastic feeling guitar is better than an American Martin and if you say anything bad about the brand they attack you. I owned an Orangewood, it was the worst guitar I ever played.
Each episode should be called “How Long Does It Take For Baxter To Get Off Topic?”
I have tried many guitars form all the brands you mentioned. For electric guitars, I keep going back to Schecter. I recently got a Schecter Van Nuys PT. It's amazing. It's sexy looking, well balanced, comfortable to play, and sounds amazing. Where's the Schecter fanboy club? I want in. =)
Im a big Fender nerd!
I love how Slash basically saved Gibson, yet he didn't play one. Sadly the markets has been flooded with Slash signature models... new ones come out each month.
I like guitars and have owned many of them over my lifetime. We are often drawn to various guitars for very subjective reasons. As an acoustic player I have been very fortunate to have owned guitars made by Collings, Gibson, Goodall, Martin, National, Taylor, and Webber among others. Each of these are fantastic guitars in their own way. At the end of the day I consider myself to be a fan of guitars.
I love them all, Gibson, prs, fender. Just like different amps,
🔥GAS IS REAL‼️🔥😂👍
here is how much of a PRS fanboy I am... when I wanted an HSS and PRS did not make one I got a Knaggs :)
If I remember correctly, Fender started off making amps. How many PRS and Gibson owners play their guitars through Fender Amps? Enquiring minds want to know.
Although not around anymore. Parker purists who love the 1993 to 2003 Parkers.
I love the retro/ vintage style guitars, doesn't matter the brand. It has to be from 50's to the 70's though, that's the weird hill I die on.
Gurian 4Ever Keep on pickin' Cowkidz
I like all guitars. I’m a fan of guitars. This is modern talk to me. We all liked all guitars yesterday. Today we like to be divisive. I’m a fan boy of strats, tele, LP, SG, hollow body, esp/ltd etc etc … brand loyalty is marketing crap.
I am a proud Fender Fan boy but I love Gibson and I agree with Uncle Larry that with Gibson it takes more to build a great Gibson guitar, alot of work, so maybe that is why the Fanboys for Gibson are so loyal when they are great and so rabid when they are not! Comes down to expectations, I think!
Yes, I have known this since I was a teenager. I started with a LP copy and then a Gibson LP. I started jamming with buddies that had Fender strats and Teles and upon swapping guitars, holding, and playing their Fenders, I felt like, This is a downgrade. haha
However, years later I have come to love and own fender strats and teles. But Gibson is still a superior instrument. Leo was a utilitarian manufacturer and it shows in the design and manufacturing of his guitars. This being said, they are great instruments.
I do agree but I think it's also because each Gibson is unique, which is uncommon today. Gibson still uses hand work for a lot of their manufacturing, including shaping the neck. So most other brands have a cookie cutter one size fits all approach, and that consistency can be very desirable because you always know what you should be getting. But each Gibson is different, sometimes a little different, sometimes a lot. You may have to go through a few of them to find the one that you personally connect with, but when you do it's a much more personal experience.
Good point and I agree totally!@@devilsguitaristmusic
Exactly, I love my Fenders but they come from a different business model I believe! @@johnsmith-ug5tp
exactly! both great guitar companies but with different business models! And I love both!@@johnsmith-ug5tp
I like my guitars like I like my Motorcycles, hardtails. Gibson, Fender, Epiphone...
Im still waiting for the Mick Ralphs' strat😬
As with so much in the guitar hobby, this issue has much more to do with the mind than it does with music. Fanboyism, you see, is what others do. What I do is is discerning and smart. And that's how that works.
Yes, I'm a PRS fanboy. I do have other brands though.
Gigging bass player "of a certain age" here. I've owned/played most everything. For me, I've gravitated to the NS Design WAV. Think it's niche? Try playing one...
Love my 2 gibson les pauls. Got a player strat but can't seem to keep it in tune. I'm going to try blocking the trem.
Yep even with locking tuners my Fender Ultra refuses to stay in tune. Had to block the trem after a while. Real shame they can’t make them more stable…
I thought the phrase “ drinking the Kool-Aid” was from the book “ The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test” by Tom Wolfe which is from the 60s. I like all of the brands including boutique builders. I want all of them!
Nope. Google Jonestown.
Nope. Jim Jones.
@@jonathanbaggs4275 the line was first used in that book. That’s a fact.
Have never liked a PRS, but am fascinated by Paul. I own a Gibson Les Paul, but don't love it. I like Fender and have had (and sold) many Strats, but my present go-to guitar in an S-style Suhr, but can't say I'm a "fan boy." If more Fender models had stainless steel frets and came set up like PRS's, I would definitely fan boy over them.
PRS FOR THE WIN!!!! Jonathan is totally right.
One of my brother in-laws corrects PRS to “Paul Reed Smith”
Started Gibson and Fender. Now I am spread across the board because of cost.
Have a good Custom Shop Fender Tele and an American Original Jaguar. Most of the rest of my guitars are Gibson, but I like my brand new Heritage 535 more than my 335. Bigsby going on it today.
I prefer single coils to humbuckers so I guess I’m a Fender “fanboy” especially since smaller brands are hard to find and play before buying.
Breedlove and Duesenberg! Cheers Casino!!
Harley Benton owners have a compulsive need to explain how their $300 guitar has “better specs” than your $3000 guitar. Drives me nuts.
BTW, I really liked this episode! You guys are at ground zero to view all of us, lol! I'm a Fender (and yes, John, I have a Paramount Acoustic), Taylor, and PRS (but I have left Fender now for PRS). I guess I'm spread across. Buuuuut! I ain't play'in no damn Martin's (He says as he spits on the ground)... 😅 12:22
Yamaha is on the horizon for a range of acoustic and Electric.
I’m a MAFA fan!
Make America Fender Always 😎.
With that being said, my 3 favorite guitars are not Fenders.
I think you could easily drill down further. I’m a tele nut. I have friends that are into LPs and SGs . Others want those sweet ES boxes. .
If another company makes a tele styled guitar that sounds and plays good, they may very well get my money. Fender ain’t the only game in town for me anymore.
As a fender fanboy I can’t help but wonder if a fender player is worth it over a classic vibes squire. What are your thoughts on the fender being almost twice the cost, but is it almost twice the guitar?
G&L, Duesenberg, Sandberg, ESP and Schecter. Seriously, though, in the 90s, in my area, Ibanez and Jackson were the sweetspot of brand recognition and affordability/availability. If you started back then and liked them, you probably stayed put.
Curious the photo of the guitars shown about a minute in. Wondering why Jerry Garcia's Wolf or a replica was part of the photo? Are you suggesting Doug Irwin's guitars have a fanboy following akin to Martin, Fender and Gibson?
I was waiting for the "i would never" in this video. Honestly I'd be happy with a Martin or a Taylor. Ahh, video games...if only i played guitar instead of video games when i was younger. I was terrible at video games. I think there was only one or two games that i actually was able to beat.
MusicMan is a serious contender. Many play only MusicMan guitars, and nothing else. Especially the Stingray bass players.
So true. I had the privilege of taking a MM factory tour in ‘98 and played a prototype Axis Sport developed by Sterling that wasn’t your typical Axis: no maple top or Floyd, gray metallic, black pearloid p/g, black MM90s (P90), and that neck! - I was hooked! Great for smaller hands. 36 yrs later, I have the aforementioned Sport, (still my main gtr) an Axis Super Sport, Mariposa, 2 Valentines, one is Sterling brand w/ F hole, and a MM SLO Sterling bass as well. Also have my eye on a St. Vincent. And the last two bassists I’ve played with: only MusicMan. You either love them or you don’t.
@@cgoebbert I hear ya there buddy. I'm not in a position to spend thousands on ANY guitar. Regardless of brand. I've got a couple Sterlings myself currently. Scored the Cutlass CT50 HSS in firemist silver when they first released as a mod platform. Not gonna get into details, but let's just say it's become something extraordinary.
So you know how it goes? Your cruising around on the internet, and up pops a Stingray ray34 B-stock in the same bitch'n color for $749! Had to have it. Just that simple.
I'm not try'n to toot my own horn here. But these are 2 outstanding guitars for minimal outlay. They look and play as good as anything around. When I've got them sitting together, and I'm just catching a glimpse from across the room. It's hard not to crack a smile at least. Firemist silver is the perfect contrast to the roasted maple. Exquisite!
@@andrewbecker3700 I’m with you on not spending a ton on guitars. If I didn’t work in the MI industry for GC corp (92’-‘05) and know some fine folks to help, I wouldn’t be as blessed w/ guitars. That said, my fav new one is the Indonesian made Sterling Valentine w/ the F hole. Under $1k, plays and sounds great to me and it stays in tune. Totally recommend it if you’re ever looking for a light guitar w/ the MM neck, SH p/u combo, 3-way switch, and a volume knob push-push boost. Fun for all ages😎 🎸
@@cgoebbert Never gonna be my style. One Sterling HSS pretty much covers everything I need from an S type. It's got all kinds of custom mods done to it that make it super versatile. Literally every electronic component has been upgraded. When the TB-14 bridge pickup is coilsplit in position 2, it's using the SSL-6 singlecoil neck pickup together, which gets some honest Tele tones. It's crazy how good it works with the treble bleed curcuit, which allows the volume to be infinitely adjustable without losing any high frequencies. 7 different switch positions that give unique tones. And every one is actually usable now.
I didn’t realize till recently I love fender only because they make my favorites… evh Wolfgang. Overall the best imo .
My first guitar was a Fender super Strat. SSH mahogany body American deluxe… I loved that guitar… still do… then I discovered PRS. I LOVE my custom 24, it was the guitar I busted my hump for all summer at my first job to get. I will never sell that guitar, I have an emotional attachment to it. It’s special to me because I worked so hard for it and it was a defining moment of my youth, saving for my first big purchase at my first job.
And yes, I can’t stand Gibson.
Hey guys, thanks for the Mornin' Soft-Core Guitar Porn! I owe you a solid, what a relief! lolin' out loud!
ive slowly turned into a PRS fanboy, even though i dont like the majority of their models. I sold all my fenders and gibsons and just have a Mccarty (not the 594) and a Silversky.
I dig my Taylor but I'm a Guild fanboy all the way.
