My parents live on a course and keep a bucket of lost balls for passing golfers. Unfortunately there's some weird setup where golfers aren't responsible for property damage, so the owners won't install cameras. Someone took out my driver's side window the last time I visited. It is fun to watch people play though!
You want to live on a golf course, then there are more hazards than sand and water. Hey, you bought a home on a golf course! People out there watching golfers take a piss all day. I'd rather watch an aquarium safe from golf balls.

Dustin Johnson said he lost count after 10. Just the other day, Rahm made one at the memorial tournament

Hell i have 1 hole in one in my life and it was my first year golfing. Haven't gotten one since, i've come close, but i'm hoping my second one comes soon lmao.
yeah it don't make sense You hit a ball 150 yards one way to go up there and hit it 150 yards and get a 90 degree angle when you can do a 75 yards right over the top of the freaking house to get on the green

It's a very social game. If your not chatting shit with your friends while playing your doing it wrong. Plus it's one of the few sports you can drink while playing.
I could only ever play mafia golf (no witnesses) but one of the guys I would play with, would disappear into the trees for minutes at a time, finally roll a ball out, finish up with a 2 put and mark it down as a par for a par 3 hole. I at least was honest with my strokes. I actually broke 90 once, on a par 3 9 hole course. My handicap? My swing. But I swear, the very few times I hit the ball pure made it worth the effort.
I've got a 5 gallon bucket + of range balls. There is a driving range next to the highway I drive to work. When i see some on the side of the road I come back later on my motorcycle and pick them up. If you see one, there's usually 3 or 4 more nearby. I don't play. Just give them away.
