To me, it's not a question. 95% of the features for 75% of the price. Larger screen, same chip, also the storage options are better. I'm not forced to go to the 256GB, I can sit at 128GB which is perfect.

If anyone wondering what's the best phone for "gaming", iphone xr is my choice for it >_< ( uhm.. also, if you guys saw this comment many times, I do it because I want to share what's this phone capabilities is. I'm not flexing or anything. You gotta ask you know lol The reason I share this is just because of how people always talking shit about it and spew nonsense before even handling/playing/trying/using it themselves. If you guys want to know why or just bored, feel free to read this ^ω^ For a quick review of my iphone xr (128gb white xr), the battery *life* (battery *health* is still 100% btw) is down from 100% to 75+/-%, meaning a 25% usage of battery life, in the spawn of 2 hours and heated a bit after playing these games, Pubg (smooth+extreme) and Honkai Impact 3 for an almost 2 hours straight. For fortnite, it's a little bit faster for the battery to drain, which the battery will lower to 75% from 100% only with the spawn of an hour and half. I get a stable 60fps with the setting of 60% 3D res or sometime lower resolution with my iPhone xr while i experience a thermal throttled if i play the game for almost an hour and half straight (still play if it warm and comfortable to hold but usually rest the phone a little after i felt it becoming hot at my left arm. I would say the increasing of temperature is not very significant as I still felt comfortable to use it at the first minutes of the thermal throttling and after that i rest the phone until it's cooled down. Also please do mind this is only like what I'm feel as I don't really know the exact temperature and don't have a proper temperature's checking equipment T.T). I would guess why this phone's temperature is slow to rise/slow to overheat is because how the iPhone xr hardware is made. Although I do wish they put a really efficient cooling system, *maybe a combo with both passive and active cooling system!* Like in Razer Phone 2 with a passive cooling system that have a big waterbed-like cooper heat sink. For the active cooling system like Nubia Red Magic 3 with the in-phone-fan, for example. -please see this post somehow, APPLE!!- For the full battery cycle, I reckon the last time i'm not charging the phone after it really empty, from 100% to 0%, it's literally take 12 hours and 48 minutes with both normal usage and heavy usage. About the overall look, for me I really love the xr design with the *THICC* bezel and the weight just because it give me these "psp/ps Vita vibe" when I'm using it (which I really love lmao). The 720p display? Well it's actually 828p but who cares right? If you have tried it yourself and compare with other phone, you'd know that the Xr's screen is really one of the best lcd screen display out there. Believe it or not, Apple have done a good job to make the LCD screen really vibrant, curved the screen, make the screen overall really nice, and not shit at all! xD (but still the OLED screen is absolutely more vibrant, colourful etc but take note about the flickering issue, burn in-display issue or whatnot, and of course OLED is beautiful. It's just that these LCD screen do take it easy for the eyes to see and nice to look, for me at least). No i had a choice of the xs or xr with my upgrade and i honestly like the xr more, im watching this because I wanted to see if anyone else would choose a bigger screen over a smaller screen with higher quality. When i held them both i liked the feel and size of the xr more and the xr screen still looks amazing. If i could have got the xs max then i would have got that for sure. Im actually surprise more people dont like the xr more when choosing between the xr and xs. I never used 3d touch and i always use a case so it did make choosing the xr more easy.

My XR is awesome and it’s battery life is insane! We’re talking 7.5 hours of screen on time before plugging it in with 3% left! Last weekend I unplugged it at 6:47am on Sunday and didn’t plug it back in until Monday night at 11:30pm and it still had 43% left!! Sure it was light use during those two days but still! Downright beastly!!
Anthony Webb I must say that my new iPhone XR has INSANE battery life!! I went my WHOLE three day weekend, with medium use, on ONE battery charge!! I unplugged it at 7am on Saturday morning and didn’t plug it back in until 11pm on Monday night with 7% left!! I have done some battery saving measures, put it on Airplane Mode while sleeping and put it on Low Power Mode once it hit 50%, but none of those measures inhibits the day-to-day use of the phone. It also should be noted that it was connected via Bluetooth to a smartwatch two of the three days as well. And now if I use my battery all up in one day I get 8.5 hours of screen on time 😎

The XR has almost all of the XS features and costs a mere £50 more than the much smaller, less capable iPhone 8 did at launch. Anyone here complaining about the screen or price isn't going to buy one anyway, so there is little point listening to their opinion on the matter. The screen looks perfectly adequate up close and personal. I have the XS, but had the XR been in the shop I might well have saved myself several hundred pounds.

XR is complete dogshit outside of it's battery life, if you're buying an apple product, you should know by now you are overpaying, why cheat yourself the best personal experience. If I'm spending 1000 bucks on something I want to be satisified, I want to feel like apple didn't just actually fist fuck me and call it a kiss. To say it's adequate is making excuses to purchase something not up to snuff for the sake of it being the lower price. I'm currently on the iphone 6s (always loved the size of it and the 3d touch is pretty neat, the phone never gave me trouble so I kept it as long as i possibly could lol) but the battery life is next to nothing now, i'm only receiving half of the calls I get (almost costed me my job...) otherwise it's still a decent phone, but the calls part messed me up, i've gone to 5 different places to get an answer for it and most all said "get a new phone, the 6s is old now" so i'm looking at the XR as a cheaper alternative to the XS! I dont use 3d touch anymore, I actually dont remember the last time it was used on my phone.. so I wont miss it much!
@@mariahm3351 Of course it's not, but it has more colors, a perfect screen size(between XS and XS Max), the single cam looks better than the double one and it is a little cheaper. This are the main reasons to buy a XR but the worst thing about the XR is the screen resolution. It's really not bad, but it's not a 2018 standard, especially for the price.

And in my opinion dual lenses look better with cases rather than single lenses, because a dual lense hides the color of the phone, and a dual lense just looks cleaner overall. And even if its screen size is perfect, those bezels are not. It cuts into most of the damn screen.
I bought XR Black and just loved it :). Many peoples (especially android lovers) complaining about the display, 3D touch and pixel, but this will not make any sense for a normal user. You cannot even realize the difference in display until you compare XS and XR side by side (may need zoom lens to find it out :P). This have the best battery life too. Upgraded from Iphone 6s and its really really worth.!!!!

Yato Bro: for men, if we are out of house/office but wthout the bag together, how to carry the spare battery or charger ? It is total uncomfortable (ofcourse, for lazy ones who do not want to carry anything in hand when we travel from one place to other places en enjoy. With long duration battery, we are never in worrying about charging issue until at least 22:00 p.m. I do not want to carry spare parts together when I am out or come to meeting room so that I always choose the phone with longest battery duration.
I like the XS too but the only place to buy it is sites like backmarket which is a good company but you still have to buy it USED and decide between - stallone, fair, good, very good and mint. Of course I would only buy very good or mint. But it’s a gamble nevertheless. Whereas I can get the XR from Apple and kill all the worries.
I love my Xr. I decided to upgrade due to a continuous problem with my 7 plus. The price was the main reason. If I’m going to pay monthly, I’ll pay about $35 rather than $55 a month with the Xs or the Max. I was disappointed in the lack of 3D Touch but I quickly got over that. There is so much that I’m learning and loving about this phone!

ur ip xr screen is a lot worse then Samsung 200$ phone who uses oled display with 401 ppi =_=, I don't even care about the resolution, but the white on ip xr is yellowish and that looked kinda disgusting ( p.s future iPhone will have the same display as Samsung s10)

I bought my XR the other day. Previous phone was a 5S. I was torn between the R and S, but chose the R because it was more affordable. Also coming from the 5S it was a huge upgrade in size and performance. Not a big phone/camera person so I couldn't justify the price increase of the XS.
Was leaning toward upgrading to the XR from a 7plus all through the video until the camera part. For me that is the most important so I guess I'll go with the xs but thanks for a great video comparison.
This is my first iPhone. I absolutely hate the inability to set an alarm more than 24 hours out as reminders. Not being able to adjust the volumes for ringtone, notifications and media separately is a big issue!
To change ringtone volume, go to settings “sounds and haptics” and turn on “change with buttons”. To change media volume, swipe down from the top right to access control center and use the volume slider, or you can just use the physical volume buttons if you’re in an app using media playback

Awesome video. Within 4weeks from today I'm gonna get the XR, My first choice was the 8 plus due to the size and battery but the XR is newer and better. At the moment I'm using the SE which is a beast but I've always much preferred large screens.

I totally agree with you, i could have chose the xr or xs but after holding them both and using them i decided on the xr. i really liked the bigger screen and better battery life and to be honest i thought the xr screen looked just as amazing. I dont know how people are saying they see blurry text on the xr because i looked at all text and i seen no blurry edges on anything.
If XR and XS were identical in price I’d go with the XR for the 25 percent better battery and larger screen ! Like he said displays are identical to the naked eye but battery life will be noticeable immediately right out of the box ! And screen size is a huge difference the XR entire phone is all screen! Shifted from 7 plus to XR and i love it ❤️ it feels more premium than XS to me because of its huGe size and i use it moderate and get around 2 days battery with maximum of youtube and one hour pUBG game on Wifi... interestingly XR sucks on 4G and battery drains too too too fast while using 4G Data 💨
Upgraded from iPhone 6 to iPhone XR. Probably my best decision in purchasing a new device. Pros-You get better battery Same cameras (debatable) A12 processor Incredibly cheap rate (compared to XS & XS MAX) Cons- LCD screen. (But doesn’t matter if you get new features at low rates in this phone) Stereo speakers are not that loud. No headphone dongle.
Xs is faster, better battery life, not plastic, 1080p and OLED and miles better camera. The iphone XR is the biggest joke ever especially with a low quality scren
I think either option is good. Both have their pros and cons. As a XS Max user, id probably go for the XS just because of the OLED screen and that more substantial feel, but the Xr’s battery is amazing.

I concur! OLED and pixel density are important for a 72 inch TV, but much less relevant for a 6 in smartphone that you hold in your hand. Unless a person lives in a van and uses a smartphone for a TV. But if he would quite buying the most expensive tech products for their minimal incremental benefits, maybe he wouldn't live in the van to begin with! If you need more than 64 GB the comparison favors the XR even more. The XR is available with 128 GB (enough for 90% of the people out there) for $800, whereas you have to go all the way up to 256 GB (which is WAY more than most people need) on the XS for a whopping $1,150, a difference of $350. That seems like a lot of money to pay for a screen I will not appreciate and a bag full of memory that exceeds my needs. It's just wrong for iPhone prices to require commas in them. All that said, I am considering the XS because of it's form factor. It is just plain easier to hold in my hand. I am less likely to drop it. But for less money I can get an XR with a Loss and Damage AppleCare policy. So there ya go.
Wow.... Someone on here knows what they're talking about. That's rare as it's usually all fanboy bickering. In fact I was battling over this, the lgv35 and v40. For a knew phone the only big spec edge I can find for the v40 over the 35 is the video recording has higher resolution and fps capability. The v35, despite identical chip is actually a bit quicker than the v40. Is that camera really actually worth the extra 350? Maybe to fanboys who only buy for bragging rights, but that just shows how stupid they are, or that Mommy and Daddy paid for it. Again thanks for having a brain.

I have a 6s but I'm hoping to get an XR for my upcoming birthday seeing as it will be a bit more affordable than an X or an XS. If I get one, it will be my first experience of operating a phone without a physical home button but knowing myself right, I will quicky get used to the swiping gestures that replace the home button so I'm not too worried :P Also, I'm really liking the blue version so fingers crossed I'll get that one! :)
I have the XR, I just upgraded last week from an iPhone 7. This phone is amazing. The battery life is great!! It will last me allll day! Not to mention that the colors the XR comes in is absolutely beautiful!!

I would guess why this phone's temperature is slow to rise/slow to overheat is because how the iPhone xr hardware is made. Although I do wish they put a really efficient cooling system, *maybe a combo with both passive and active cooling system!* Like in Razer Phone 2 with a passive cooling system that have a big waterbed-like cooper heat sink. For the active cooling system like Nubia Red Magic 3 with the in-phone-fan, for example. -please see this post somehow, APPLE!!-
For the full battery cycle, I reckon the last time i'm not charging the phone after it really empty, from 100% to 0%, it's literally take 12 hours and 48 minutes with both normal usage and heavy usage.
About the overall look, for me I really love the xr design with the *THICC* bezel and the weight just because it give me these "psp/ps Vita vibe" when I'm using it (which I really love lmao).
The 720p display? Well it's actually 828p but who cares right? If you have tried it yourself and compare with other phone, you'd know that the Xr's screen is really one of the best lcd screen display out there. Believe it or not, Apple have done a good job to make the LCD screen really vibrant, curved the screen, make the screen overall really nice, and not shit at all! xD (but still the OLED screen is absolutely more vibrant, colourful etc but take note about the flickering issue, burn in-display issue or whatnot, and of course OLED is beautiful. It's just that these LCD screen do take it easy for the eyes to see and nice to look, for me at least).

No i had a choice of the xs or xr with my upgrade and i honestly like the xr more, im watching this because I wanted to see if anyone else would choose a bigger screen over a smaller screen with higher quality. When i held them both i liked the feel and size of the xr more and the xr screen still looks amazing. If i could have got the xs max then i would have got that for sure. Im actually surprise more people dont like the xr more when choosing between the xr and xs. I never used 3d touch and i always use a case so it did make choosing the xr more easy.

My XR is awesome and it’s battery life is insane! We’re talking 7.5 hours of screen on time before plugging it in with 3% left! Last weekend I unplugged it at 6:47am on Sunday and didn’t plug it back in until Monday night at 11:30pm and it still had 43% left!! Sure it was light use during those two days but still! Downright beastly!!

Anthony Webb I must say that my new iPhone XR has INSANE battery life!! I went my WHOLE three day weekend, with medium use, on ONE battery charge!! I unplugged it at 7am on Saturday morning and didn’t plug it back in until 11pm on Monday night with 7% left!!
I have done some battery saving measures, put it on Airplane Mode while sleeping and put it on Low Power Mode once it hit 50%, but none of those measures inhibits the day-to-day use of the phone.
It also should be noted that it was connected via Bluetooth to a smartwatch two of the three days as well.
And now if I use my battery all up in one day I get 8.5 hours of screen on time 😎

The XR has almost all of the XS features and costs a mere £50 more than the much smaller, less capable iPhone 8 did at launch. Anyone here complaining about the screen or price isn't going to buy one anyway, so there is little point listening to their opinion on the matter. The screen looks perfectly adequate up close and personal. I have the XS, but had the XR been in the shop I might well have saved myself several hundred pounds.

I'm currently on the iphone 6s (always loved the size of it and the 3d touch is pretty neat, the phone never gave me trouble so I kept it as long as i possibly could lol) but the battery life is next to nothing now, i'm only receiving half of the calls I get (almost costed me my job...) otherwise it's still a decent phone, but the calls part messed me up, i've gone to 5 different places to get an answer for it and most all said "get a new phone, the 6s is old now" so i'm looking at the XR as a cheaper alternative to the XS! I dont use 3d touch anymore, I actually dont remember the last time it was used on my phone.. so I wont miss it much!

This are the main reasons to buy a XR but the worst thing about the XR is the screen resolution. It's really not bad, but it's not a 2018 standard, especially for the price.

And in my opinion dual lenses look better with cases rather than single lenses, because a dual lense hides the color of the phone, and a dual lense just looks cleaner overall. And even if its screen size is perfect, those bezels are not. It cuts into most of the damn screen.
I bought XR Black and just loved it :). Many peoples (especially android lovers) complaining about the display, 3D touch and pixel, but this will not make any sense for a normal user. You cannot even realize the difference in display until you compare XS and XR side by side (may need zoom lens to find it out :P). This have the best battery life too. Upgraded from Iphone 6s and its really really worth.!!!!

Yato Bro: for men, if we are out of house/office but wthout the bag together, how to carry the spare battery or charger ? It is total uncomfortable (ofcourse, for lazy ones who do not want to carry anything in hand when we travel from one place to other places en enjoy. With long duration battery, we are never in worrying about charging issue until at least 22:00 p.m. I do not want to carry spare parts together when I am out or come to meeting room so that I always choose the phone with longest battery duration.

I like the XS too but the only place to buy it is sites like backmarket which is a good company but you still have to buy it USED and decide between - stallone, fair, good, very good and mint. Of course I would only buy very good or mint. But it’s a gamble nevertheless. Whereas I can get the XR from Apple and kill all the worries.

I love my Xr. I decided to upgrade due to a continuous problem with my 7 plus. The price was the main reason. If I’m going to pay monthly, I’ll pay about $35 rather than $55 a month with the Xs or the Max. I was disappointed in the lack of 3D Touch but I quickly got over that. There is so much that I’m learning and loving about this phone!

I bought my XR the other day. Previous phone was a 5S. I was torn between the R and S, but chose the R because it was more affordable. Also coming from the 5S it was a huge upgrade in size and performance. Not a big phone/camera person so I couldn't justify the price increase of the XS.
I do notice quite a bit sharper image in the S over the R at 3:02, but, I'm a video editor and I notice fine details.

This is my first iPhone. I absolutely hate the inability to set an alarm more than 24 hours out as reminders. Not being able to adjust the volumes for ringtone, notifications and media separately is a big issue!
To change ringtone volume, go to settings “sounds and haptics” and turn on “change with buttons”. To change media volume, swipe down from the top right to access control center and use the volume slider, or you can just use the physical volume buttons if you’re in an app using media playback

I totally agree with you, i could have chose the xr or xs but after holding them both and using them i decided on the xr. i really liked the bigger screen and better battery life and to be honest i thought the xr screen looked just as amazing. I dont know how people are saying they see blurry text on the xr because i looked at all text and i seen no blurry edges on anything.

Shifted from 7 plus to XR and i love it ❤️ it feels more premium than XS to me because of its huGe size and i use it moderate and get around 2 days battery with maximum of youtube and one hour pUBG game on Wifi... interestingly XR sucks on 4G and battery drains too too too fast while using 4G Data 💨

I think either option is good. Both have their pros and cons. As a XS Max user, id probably go for the XS just because of the OLED screen and that more substantial feel, but the Xr’s battery is amazing.

The galaxy s9 has a better front facing camera (the back is the same as the X), it has a better screen than the iphone X, it has an iris scanner, a fingerprint sensor, better water resistance, more RAM, USB C, expandable storage, higher aspect ratio, a freaking headphone jack, AND all while being LIGHTER than the X...

I concur! OLED and pixel density are important for a 72 inch TV, but much less relevant for a 6 in smartphone that you hold in your hand. Unless a person lives in a van and uses a smartphone for a TV. But if he would quite buying the most expensive tech products for their minimal incremental benefits, maybe he wouldn't live in the van to begin with!
If you need more than 64 GB the comparison favors the XR even more. The XR is available with 128 GB (enough for 90% of the people out there) for $800, whereas you have to go all the way up to 256 GB (which is WAY more than most people need) on the XS for a whopping $1,150, a difference of $350. That seems like a lot of money to pay for a screen I will not appreciate and a bag full of memory that exceeds my needs. It's just wrong for iPhone prices to require commas in them.
All that said, I am considering the XS because of it's form factor. It is just plain easier to hold in my hand. I am less likely to drop it. But for less money I can get an XR with a Loss and Damage AppleCare policy. So there ya go.
Wow.... Someone on here knows what they're talking about. That's rare as it's usually all fanboy bickering. In fact I was battling over this, the lgv35 and v40. For a knew phone the only big spec edge I can find for the v40 over the 35 is the video recording has higher resolution and fps capability. The v35, despite identical chip is actually a bit quicker than the v40. Is that camera really actually worth the extra 350? Maybe to fanboys who only buy for bragging rights, but that just shows how stupid they are, or that Mommy and Daddy paid for it. Again thanks for having a brain.

@@samsunnahar5840 A70, like, its good, but the 6,7 inch is too big for me, it has plastic back, no ip rating, sd 675 isnt that good, and the 32mp camera is shit, with google camera it is pretty great, but with stock one is shit, and i wait for the price of the x or xr to drop in my country, in Romania xr is like 1100$ and x like 1500$

I have a 6s but I'm hoping to get an XR for my upcoming birthday seeing as it will be a bit more affordable than an X or an XS. If I get one, it will be my first experience of operating a phone without a physical home button but knowing myself right, I will quicky get used to the swiping gestures that replace the home button so I'm not too worried :P Also, I'm really liking the blue version so fingers crossed I'll get that one! :)
I have the XR, I just upgraded last week from an iPhone 7. This phone is amazing. The battery life is great!! It will last me allll day! Not to mention that the colors the XR comes in is absolutely beautiful!!
The phone on the bottom is clearly the superior display. Even a few seconds I can tell the difference from my TV screen.
Getting my Iphone XR in about two days but a bit bummed that it doesn't have the 3D touch, really loved that feature on my 6s!

@@emilyjohn1810 I didn't trade in my iPhone 6s I lost it a couple months ago, the Xr was the cheapest of the newer X models priced at 749 with 64GB of memory which is more than enough for me! But more memory will equal more money , Hopefully this helped!!
