When you mentioned the packaging, it made me want to say I don't think a lot of indie brands realize how much packaging can make an impact. And I understand not everybody can start at the same level. Because everybody does have to start somewhere. And cheap looking packaging does not equal cheap product. I understand that. So I don't need anybody to fight me on that. But I am so drawn in by beautiful packaging. Like colourpop still makes beautiful packaging from time to time, and if they ever gave up the ghost on making... Safe ... Color stories. They definitely could just switch to like home decor. And I think they would be fine. I was waiting to see this color story and I am a sucker for those Dusty mauvy pinks and mustardy yellows. But I believe this is a color palette that I can appreciate from afar and support those who get it. It's a beautiful color story but I'm trying to be nicer to my bank account. I'll appreciate my solemane ii palette and hope the collector in me doesn't whisper evil inspiration into my ear. Thank you for sharing so quickly Amanda. I do look forward to comparisons. Would seeing a comparison to the Nomad New Zealand palette be weird? I know it's absolutely not a one to one but they're both very purple heavy and both have beautiful shimmers and that's the palette my eyes have been balling.
This palette is pretty, and I like the look you did. I still use the original Solmane II quite often. But I don't feel the need for this as well, it doesn't look different enough.
Yeah, this is the third review I'm seeing where Solar Eclipse broke during shipping. I find it odd that the shimmery, bordering on highlighter shade is breaking, but that the actual highlighters are fine. Something must make that formula super delicate.

I would love to see the pink blush from the original release compared to these new ones because the original is my perfect blush color, and it's been sold out for so long! 😭 (Also, I love it when you rearrange the colors to look more pleasing. It helps my eyeballs so much!)

The mirror in particular was a standout (having the magnifying side is essential for my ever-ailing eyesight and it's so attractive that i keep it out on display). I loved the cheek products so much I went back and ordered more. This round is pretty, but like you, I'm not a fan of particle highlighters. I already have texture and these types emphasise everything. might sit this one out for now and maybe pick up one of the blushes in a sale

Ohh I’m very interested in seeing a blue and gold look and a quick two shadow look. I thought the matte blushes were so pretty, but the highlighters were a bit too glittery for me. I also have enthusiastic barking door bells. 😂 I don’t discourage their barking as it keeps the random door knockers away

I'm so sad they don't have a replacement for the Moon Talk highlighter 😢 I missed out on it and was really hoping they'd restock it some day. I've been using their single shadow in Lola as a highlight since it has a green/teal flip and loving that, but I'm still yearning for a straight green highlight. Thanks to your video, I'm certain that my wallet is safe from this collection 😆 The first blush is so pretty on you and would probably be the one thing I'd want to get if I didn't already have a similar shade, lol. The palette is so pretty too and the look you did purple gorgeousness, but only the second half of the swatches really called to me. The packaging though. Oden's Eye always kills it with the packaging. I think it might be cool to compare it with the Avatar Water palette from Lethal. Some of the shimmers look similar on my screen at least.

I thought I was going to get this but the more that I look at swatches, and look at the layout compared to the original Solmane 2, its just not for me. It seems like more of a companion pallete than a standalone. But what gets me most is the layout of the colors, they just dont make sense to me when they arent in neat organized color story rows. Im like that with all my palettes, one reaon I love CP so much is because you can rearrange. Yeah this one is a pass for me.
