    I would vote for the oldest palette you have with cream products in it. Theoretically, it would be the first to expire. I love these videos every year! It gets my mind turning. I've never attempted a pan that palette but each year I'm tempted 😅

    • @PriyaPans
      @PriyaPans 4 года назад +1

      I attempted it this year. Never panned anything or project panned anything before this year.
      I have hit pan in three shade and made dips in a 12 pan palette (burgundy Bar).
      I joined roulette pan collab round 8 and realised that my expectations are stupidly high.

    I have done pan that palette for 2 years (with this year). And cause of this year, I am thinking of doing Pan my Pan That Palette. Take the shadows that is left from this year and last year and try to pan them 2021.
    I would love to see you pan a new magnetic palette, BUT on the other hand I would love to see you work hard on the Battleship project.
    Why not pick a face palette for 2021 and have your Battleship shadows. 🤔 You pick a shadow with pan and try to finish. Working on one at a time. 🤔 That will give you time to get pan on the remaining shadows in the project and put some more focus on the project Pan In Every Palette. 👍🏻

    I would put them all in a roulette wheel and let chance pick. 😂😂😂Choose the one with the least options cause then you wont be disappointed on your progress. Plus it will motivate you to see the progress you make! All are beautiful and won’t make you bored.

      I agree, I would pick the Apple one because I would be able to play around with other items and only be restricted in the blush section or a small palette so I could see progress faster! The balm palettes with the mix between eyes and face products seem a bit dark for everyday (for my personal preference), I don’t know if you though about that or only chose them because they had cream products on them... Loved the video, will be waiting for the “election “ day 😉

    I'm thinking about next year too. This year with a magnetic palette is been the most successful for me so I'm tempted to do it again but I want to work on a mini palette with one cream product in it too 🤔. I think one of the smashbox or of the balm palettes with a mix of eyeshadows and cream products are a good choice 🙂

    I’m currently panning a magnetic palette with a full face of depotted products 😊 it’s really great for everyday and I just put very basic toned eyeshadows in there so I can still reach into my collection for more fun shades depending on my mood. It’s so convenient and quick to get ready in the mornings, highly recommend it!

    I’m debating what to do for next year too. If I were to pan a palette it would be the ABH Modern Renaissance palette. But I also want to pan a face palette. I have a couple of the Natasha Denona face palettes that have cream and powder products and I don’t want them to go bad on me. As for all of your options--I like the idea of panning a face palette so you can concentrate on the dude you panned my battleship singles. That way you’re not adding more eyeshadows in. If you wanted to work on a particular eyeshadow, you could roll it into another project for one of the prompts. If there’s a palette you want wear, roll it into the pan in every palette project. I think it would leave lots of options open for you without you being overwhelmed with eyeshadows.

  • @lauraladyll
    @lauraladyll 4 года назад +8

    I love the idea of panning a depotted item palette where you have a “full face” available if you’re in a rush. I also like the idea of a face palette while focusing on eyeshadows in other projects. Victoria Joyce panned the Balm lip and cheek palette a few years ago if you want to watch her videos. She also works in the schools as a teacher I believe.

  • @lipsticklattesandheels

    I’ve been casually working on the tarte palette and I love it. I would highly recommend, but it would take forever because the pans are really deep. I currently have the cream bronzer finished, and pan in everything but the darkest highlight. I’ve been working on it off and on for probably a year.

    I think you should go with yours most favorite one among all of them and ENJOY it to the fullest ! yes cream products may expire faster then the others, but the whole point of make up is pleasure, happiness and fun :) So I think you should go with Jouer palette or the one which you love :)

  • @laurianing2215

    First of all i would burn the pur nude palette THEN i think the z palette is a good idea, maybe you can put some cream depotted product in it and like 80 % face and 20 % eyeshadows...
    Long ago i panned a sample blush from the balm apple palette and if i remember correctly it didn't take me to long... So maybe you can fully pan multiple blush from this palette.
    Also love the idea of using just a small palette but the eyeshadows will interfer with pan my battleship and pan in every palette etc...

  • @josyvalero
    @josyvalero 4 года назад +4

    I think the smashbox one would be a good idea because it has few eyeshadows, but also has a lot of face products so you wouldn’t be able to work on a lot of individual face products.
    Or also a small palette, if you pick something like the color pop 6 pan one, you might be able to finish two small palettes!

  • @MariaGomez-mf6jt
    @MariaGomez-mf6jt 4 года назад +1

    You have a lot of excellent options :) I think you will be very sucessfull with option 4 (I really like the too faced palette and the colourpop 6 pans) and you could combine it with the one of smashbox lip palette (maybe the oldest of the two) as it seems that the individual palettes could easily pop up.
    I haven't decided yet if I will join the 2021 pan that palette for eyeshadow s (I prefer pan those eyeshadows so I could enjoy most of my palettes through the year); maybe I will pan a face palette but I don't know yet.
    Good luck with your projects xxx

    This is very tricky isnt it?🤔 well at least we've solved one of your queries 😉 after watching this, it was hard for me to even think. If i had to "vote" im stuck between the skinny dip and a magnetic palette but with like 4 shades and if you finish any perhaps add another haha. However i dont want you to be overwhelmed either because you are doing the battleship one and the pan in every palette. I am excited to hear your decision 😂

    I am personally thinking about panning either the ABH Modern renaissance or my singles in individual packaging because I rarely use them. In your case I would go for a face palette with no or just few eyeshadows so you can really focuse on “dude you panned my battleship” and “pan in every palette”. I am looking forward to seeing what you will choose 💕💕

  • @Lavender_Web
    @Lavender_Web 4 года назад +1

    Those are some cool ideas for 2021! I have actually been thinking that I want to target a ‘combo’ palette. This year I have unintentionally been panning mostly mini products so I want to get something bulky worked out of my collection next year... I get the impression that you might be best off focusing on a full cream palette, such as the apple one you showed, and a small eyeshadow palette, such as that Colourpop one. You’d be able to work on a bunch cream products that you don’t want getting older AND you’d also have a very good chance at panning a whole eyeshadow palette without it being too overwhelming, which would get inventory numbers down. Hopefully I am reading you right! 😅

  • @xcali22x
    @xcali22x 4 года назад +1

    I love the first idea but your second idea is also great. I think that the Balm palette you could use more heavily under your foundation instead of lightly over. I also think that since its a cream you could use it a base under your eyeshadow more than you think. If you choose a face palette you could pan a few singles if you have a small magnetic or empty palette. The Smashbox palettes are cool but I would feel overwhelmed by it. The new palettes you should donate since they are barely swatched. Best

  • @sunstormsandthunderclouds

    The Balm Jovi palette would be good bc you could add the bolder colours from your DYPMB project to spice it up and you’re using up some smaller creams!
    The Balm Voyage palette seems a little overwhelming. It’s definitely one for pan in every palette tho!!
    I am officially putting my votes in for the Smashbox Master Class palettes tho!

    I like the first option where you made your own palette. You have cream depoted as well. So maybe poke around and see what would work well with your eye shadow battle ship. Eye shadows that are almost gone or hit pan on. It would be nice to get to see you have a good eye shadow year. I love watching you. I feel like your very related able.

      Idk I'm weird I don't have but a concealed and color corrector that are liquid or cream everything else is powder or loose powder if I can find it that way. I love loose eye shadows. I only have two loose powder eye showed left and then pressed powder's. I working a single and duo to finish up this year. I trying to use the sample shadows I have up to. So each look get a sample shadow and one that I'm planning if I can. The green sample only work with another sample. I real bad at panning lip product. Mine normally dry out or end up having my teenager us up before I get to it.. lol she always borrows my lipstick.

  • @erynnm3045
    @erynnm3045 4 года назад +3

    Option 5..... you could focus on a face palette with the creams, like The Balm apples one, and spend the year rotating through your eye palettes doing a one month one palette or a seasonal pan that palette? That way you get some use, and you get to play. :) No goals other than enjoying and playing, and it would help you with your other projects that we KNOW you're going to put eyeshadows into, because you'd have the freedom to use them more. Also means that if you're feeling overwhelmed with so many eyeshadows you could pick a smaller palette for the next rotation so you're less overwhelmed. :)
    I'm seriously considering doing a seasonal pan that palette or one month one palette for 2021. I feel like it would give me a lot more freedom to play with what i have, and will allow my wants and whims to change as they do with the wind. lol.

    I think the argument about working from home is very convincing. All options have their perks, but I'd go with one of those smashbox palettes. I don't know how much product is in it weight wise, but as it's divided into different products I think it shouldn't be hard to use them up, and still leave room for products in different projects. (Also, all in one palettes always makes my life easier, but I guess magnetic palette option also relates to that. That's just my experience, tho) Either way, You still have some time to decide and I'm sure, whatever you choose it's gonna be a good one!

  • @ftcmua
    @ftcmua 4 года назад +2

    Do you still have the Maskcara products? If you do, I think you should do a magnetic palette with them plus some other options that will round out a full face of makeup for you. That way you can focus on the eyeshadows in other projects, just include eyeshadow shades that are missing from other projects in your custom palette. As for the other palettes you want to work on, put them in Pan in Every Palette one by one to hit pan on the cream products, or just put the cream products in projects throughout the year as you need new ones to work on.
    If you want to work on a pre-made palette, I think the Balm Jovi and the first Smashbox Palette you showed are the best options, they have more variety so you’ll see more progress throughout the palettes.
    Or, pan the 2 cream palettes within the Smashbox set along with a baby Pan that palette that have 2-5 eyeshadows of your choice.
    So many fun choices to make! Ahhh!

I am also doing Pan Those Eyeshadows, Partners in Cream, 50 Shades of Pink and one or two other projects this year, so I don’t want to add much, as I tend to just continue working on those items until they’re done, rather than starting new products, since I don’t film and I am just doing the projects for myself, to use stuff up. I love pretty much every idea you put out. I will say that it does seem like a golden opportunity to use those lipsticks in pans, if you will be working from home. I also like the idea of not adding too many more eyeshadows and leaning more towards face products so you can focus on your eyeshadows that are in current projects. Whatever you pick will be great!

    It's a tough call! On the one hand, the Jouer palette was the only one you were excited enough about to swatch -- that tells me that you would have a lot of fun with that one. On the other hand, I love the idea of a version 2 of the depotted shadows but focusing on face products and some eyeshadows that you already have a lot of progress on so you can finish them. And finally, I really liked how SMALL the pans in the The Balm Jovi palette were . I think I'd go for one of those three, and ultimately settle on the one you felt you had the best chance of finishing! I am rooting for you to get a palette finished up! (For that reason I would vote against the Balm Voyage because of how big the pans are!)

    So many options! And then you’ve already worked it down to a lot less. I find it hard to choose between all of these. But am thinking that the magnetic palette sounded pretty good. Being able to work on shadows in there that are already on their last legs, incorporating face products (and creams) and you’ll be able to customize it so it can work alongside what you’re still focusing on in the battleship project. You seemed pretty excited about the idea yourself as well. But definitely choose something because it gets you excited or you know you would feel really sad if it would go bad. To just because it works best at this particular time.

    I think you should go with the Skinny Deep one. You can work that along other eyeshadows (like matte ones, that pair well with so much shimmer) and also multi-task them as facial and body higlight (for example on neck, chest and shoulders, as you were wearing a tank-top).
    Regarding the Cream Blush pallette, from TheBalm, you could pan along the skinny deep. I just panned that same one pallete you showed ('bla-bla-bla-apples'). It took me roughtly a year, the whole pallete. I was able to use them as blush, of course, but also as a base for eyeshadow (the more pink and peach-pink ones and the bronzer shade) and also as a sticky base for the powder blush. Use a powder blush on top of the cream blush can change de color a bit, which is great on those times we get tired of the product, or just to make the powder blush last longer (in this way, I panned two poor lasting powder blush of my collection too!).

    Think I would go with one of the small 6 pan pallettes with the apple pallet or the Balm Jovi pallet just so I could get things finished and out then maybe start another little one if I finished. I've never done ptp but am going to have a go next year. Anyway I look forward to seeing what you choose 😍

    You have a lot of good options there. As a slow panner next year I will be panning a small 4 pan neutral palette next year that will complement all other projects, that way I can hopefully rotate my collection a bit more, while completely finishing a product. I think the cream products would be good to include a single shade in another project like partners in cream or project 10 uses, that way you will likely see more progress without being overwhelmed by too many optons. This year I have been using a quad of creams and I am getting good use in all of them but unfortunately there are too many blushes and I think it will follow me into 2021.

      I think you are right about The Balm How Bout Them Apples palette. Working on one pan at a time in partners in cream makes a lot of sense.

    It looked like you could take out the cream palettes out of the larger smashbox kit one of those along side the magnetic palette with almost used up products would be fun. You also could put the apple palette in pan in every palette.

    I’m so excited to hear about the next pan that palette! You have so many good options...I don’t know. The Balm Jovi has such small pans it might be easy and encouraging! I have the too faced razzle dazzle palette and they are such good quality! I can’t wait to see what you pick.
    I’ll probably just keep using what I’m using because I won’t be done! (Modern Renaissance)

    I hope it is not too late to comment! So it seem to me that you are wanting to focus on face products, eyeshadow, and cream products so you should go with option C/3. I think theBalm first palette you showed with the tiny pans, highlighter, blush, and two creams would probably be your best pick. I know you have panned several palettes over the years and I hope to see you succeed in 2021! Also don't worry if the 2020 pan that palette was an epic fail because it help other panners and me to know what might not work out. :)

    Yeah your magnetic palette last year was a huge undertaking. It even scared me. lol The Balm Balm Jovi Rockstar palette would be awesome because it would be cream, face and eye products. Very versatile. So my top 3 picks would be a magnetic palette with more face products, Balm Jovi Rockstar and Skinny Dip because those shades would work well with just about anything else you are panning.

    What about that stila eyes and face palette you showed recently? It was so beautiful and not that big. As i remembered the colors were very wearable and you could work more on other projects you have !

    Wish that apple blush palette was still available... so beautiful. I’m thinking doing a pan that palette with either my dose of colors friendication palette or my it’s a princess thing CP eyeshadow palette. It’s my oldest palette and I have the most pan in it because of project panning. Otherwise I just do uses for using face pallets. I’m currently using my alamar blush palette and I hit pan super easily. This year is the first year I’ve done any type of project panning and I love it!

    Ooooh, exciting options. From your list I'd probably choose the Balm Jovi for variety or the Colourpop for the gorgeousness of those shades. However, just to throw another option, the Balm Apple for face and a quad that doesn't overlap with DYPMB to keep your updates exciting for you. I've chosen my palette for next year- the Fuschia Paradise. All matte, interesting shade range, pans aren't too deep and I hate the spelling of the brand SO MUCH. Is it fuchsia? Is it Fuss Chia? It IRKS my petty nature and I want it gone.

  • @PriyaPans

    That changed it back palette looks GORGEOUS. I think that would be a great contender, and it doesn't compete too much with your other projects or colour stories too much.
    Edit: oooh or the balm Jovi!
    You could always pick out a single blush and a single bronzer that u own that are cream products and depot them onto a palette? Or maybe, just have them seperate (so powders don't get into the palette) but leave enough room in a magnetic palette as if they were stuck there. So as you're not overdoing it?
    Or: a magnetic palette full of products that already allll have pan in.

  • @sarahkatherine6075

    I think the small too faced palette would be good since you love those colors! You can also work on a cream blush/lip palette and have 2 pan that palettes!

  • @Navera5

    To be honest I would love to see you pan The Balm palette with cream blushes (and maybe add a small magnetic palette with 6-9 shades of singles which are your favourites, the ones you use almost everyday or the most boring neutral ones cause you're probably going to get to them anyway even with the battleship project?) or the BalmJovi palette. But the Smashbox palettes look REALLY nice. And, for the lip products, even if you end up going back to work outside your home, you could always search for dupes for those lip shades in a bullet or liquid form to re-apply - pretty sure you must have some similar colours in your collection. That way you're going to at least get some use out of that cream products + gonna get some use out of your lipsticks :D

    I have a few depotted shadows that I want to pan, as well as some singles. I was thinking also of my too faced pb palette. If you pan the razzle dazzle palette, I would unofficially pan that with you. That would be fun. I am also thinking about doing my panning by quarter. That way I can pan by seasons, as I’m a seasonal person. That way, it’s harder for me to get bored. 🤷‍♀️

    For 2021 I'm going to do the 'pan those eyeshadows' and randomly select shadows & just hit pan & rotate out, I think you should pick the palette that you are most drawn to, the one that excites you the most, and with the cream products, you can always add those into the partner's in cream project!

    Hi Paula, I didn't make the 30... Back project... I m so late... So thinking about 21 for me will depend of what's is going on in the world... But I think it s a good idea to pan a magnetic palette with all face and cream products or a big one new with everything inside... Stay safe your Sophie that remind me that I have lip palettes also.. Thanks for the idea ❤️❤️

    I know my opinion is going to be unpopular but I’m me so I’m gonna give it 🤣
    I’d love to see you put a dent in one of your most expensive palettes because you spend so much time using up smaller items. I do think panning a cream face product is a good idea. Why not do your battleship palette and consider one week/one palette? Then you can enjoy everything in your collection.

    I bet some of the cream products in the Balm palettes are the same as in the How Bout Them Apples palette. Looks like you have more cream products than you'll be able to finish before they go bad. My vote is to pick the Apple palette and the Tarte palette and use them both in combination, or to do your custom Z palette again. Good luck!

    I'd love to see you choose the Balm palette, and then select a 1 single eyeshadow from that palette you tried in 2019 at a time! That way you have some structure with your lip/cheek palette, but only have to focus on 1 eyeshadow at once, and can filter a new one in once it's finished.

    Since the master class palettes can be taken apart, I think it would be good to pan one of the smaller eyeshadow palettes along with some cream products from the master class palettes. I actually think it would be a good idea to start on those lipsticks right when school starts so you’ll have the whole school year to work on them, rather than just half the year.

    i think either of the smashbox combo palettes is good for several reasons: 1. it's older and you would probably want some good usage before it gets too old and unusable; 2. it has everything from eyeshadows to lipsticks, so it gives you versatility and flexibility when you combine it with other project pans; 3. like you said, it'd be easier to use its lipstick section while working from home. rationality and logic tell me, if it were me, i'd choose one of these.
