Elden Ring is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, was made in collaboration with fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin, who provided material for the game's setting. Elden Ring was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022.
Elden Ring is an action role-playing game played in a third-person perspective with gameplay focusing on combat and exploration; it features elements similar to those found in other games developed by FromSoftware, such as the Souls series, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki explained that players start with a linear opening but eventually progress to freely explore the Lands Between, including its six main areas, as well as castles, fortresses, and catacombs scattered throughout the open world map. These main areas are interconnected through a central hub that players can access later in the game's progression-similar to Firelink Shrine from Dark Souls-and are explorable using the character's mount as the main mode of transport, although a fast travel system is an available option. Throughout the game, players encounter non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies alike, including the demigods who rule each main area and serves as the game's main bosses.
Miyazaki stated that the customization in Elden Ring would be richer, as players are able to discover different skills through their exploration of the map instead of unlocking skill trees as in Sekiro and differing from the pre-fixed weapon skills of FromSoftware's previous games. These skills are interchangeable with a large variety of weapons which, alongside equipment, magic abilities, and items players can craft using materials found within the world, can be used to customize the player character.[4][6] The game also features summoning mechanics, where players can summon a large variety of collectible spirits hidden throughout the game's world map, including previously defeated enemies, as allies to assist them in battle. Similar to the Souls series, the game's multiplayer allows other players to be summoned for cooperative play

Got that just within the last couple days. I did that quest ages ago but didn't know how to bring up my jellyfish spirit ash at the time. Only recently saw what to do so went for it.

@@SharkR I like the 25% spell cost reduction but not the 15% HP loss trade off. Not gonna use it. Just gonna stay there in my collection.

so i have 99 vigor/mind and i mostly use this when i’m doing co-op to help clear areas/bosses since you get half of your flasks. to make up for the hp hit, i use crimson amber +2 and morgott’s great rune. it does make me 2 shot lol but i’m skilled enough to maneuver and with the fp reduction i can use high damage spells repeatedly without using a flask, so faster kills.
i wouldn’t dare use it in pvp or invasions. instant one shot!

I found this, took me awhile to realize, yes I could summon here and what summon could be the sister to a jellyfish. Took a bit to remember that summon because I never used it.

Yes . A secret part of the game. Thank you for feedback

Its a cool quest, and the talisman looks good, on paper:
However, the opportunity cost just isnt worth it, Yes you will save on your blue flasks, but in return, the increased damage taken will make you use more red flasks, so if you are a caster, its just better to go use that talisman slot on anything else, and get more blue flasks and less red flasks.
If you are a caster and you want more FP for PvE, kill the ancestral spirit and use its remains to make its talisman, it gives you FP when you kill something, its not amazing, but for long grace runs, it helps, and unlike the Glintstone blade talisman, it has no drawbacks.

Depends what build you will use. For some builds is really good. But thank you for the feedback

@@SharkR well, if you are in the higher levels (lv200+) it has its uses, but with 50vigor, it makes an attack that you could survive into a one shot.
I could see a caster using it if they have 60 or 70 vigor, but at that point, why not just stick with 50vig and pump up your int, faith or Arcane, since the death staff, golden order seal and the dragon communion seal scales well with multiple stats.
Its a cool and useful talisman indeed, but its usefulness is less so when you think about opportunity cost, it is competing with two talismans that adds a flat damage to your incantations, without a drawback, the one that makes you cast faster, and the one that increases the damage of your charged spells.
For FP efficiency, its better to one-shot something that would require two cast, in essence halfing your FP consumption, then reducing it by 20%
