FT to Alpine River Cabins, run to the road where it says 88, follow the road E, there will be a junk pile on your left and shortly after that the location is also on your left. It might be easy to miss, the path actually keeps going into the forest and leads to Hunter's Ridge. Hope this makes sense!
Do you mean on the side? Those are walls, I used a catwalk to place them there. You can also do it by going under the map. You can search for an underpinning tutorial I'm sure :)
