    New title idea: “Two autistic guys try to avoid having autism”

    the gift horse's mouth thing isn't about being bitten, it's about being rude because you're checking their teeth which is something you do when you buy one to check for quality and problems; it'd be like someone gifting you a car and instead of being grateful you get on your hands and knees right then & there and start checking the chassis for rust, weld patches etc.

    I had no idea I was autistic. I what is considered a "lost girl". I didn't know until I had my youngest son. He's non verbal. We also found out his brother is on the spectrum but you wouldn't know unless you had him tested. He had a stuttering problem so we had him tested. Then they told me since both of them are I should go and so should my husband. And I have what they call the "Autism Gene". Both my sons are very smart getting 90s and 100s on tests as I did . My youngest who is non verbal can even do multiplication and division at age 6. As long as it's with magnet numbers . That's how he does his math. He has been getting alot of help and now even says love you mommy. I broke out in tears. They are so pure. ❤ God blessed me with such amazing boys. Thanks for bringing more attention to this guys. ❤

    If Nogla suspects he has autism, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND GETTING YOUR DAUGHTER TESTED WHILE SHE'S A MINOR.
    I'm an autistic woman. Woman and girls always fall thru the cracks when it comes to diagnosis and getting a pediatric diagnosis is SO much easier than getting an adult diagnosis. My diagnosis cost $800. Couldn't get it insured. And it took a year to find someone willing to do an adult diagnosis.
    The only reason I bothered getting an official diagnosis is because I had a child (and my son deserved a mom who takes better care of herself) and because getting university accommodations requires an official diagnosis.

      @@Tennosoul Surprisingly not just an American problem. In most places adults have a hard time getting diagnosed with Autism. I live in Australia where we have subsidised healthcare and in a lot of cases free but for me to get an assessment for Autism as an adult it will cost over $1000. Unfortunately, most places don’t recognise that a lot of autistic people slip through the cracks as a child because they are very good at masking. It is also only really recently that people actually understand that having autism does not always mean the extreme case of being non-verbal and showing “typical” autism mannerisms :)

      @Mariah9_ Месяц назад +10

      I think it takes more than an online test to diagnose someone with autism… Everyone likes to throw autism and adhd out in the mix when they have not been professionally diagnosed. I’ve taken an online test like this and the results came back that I have Borderline/mild adhd. I don’t exactly think I do. But have officially been diagnosed Intellectual Disability so I believe I don’t exactly have adhd. Which what I’m saying these online tests don’t determine accurate diagnosis imo

Highs are high and lows are lows. But they sure asf gonna try to give you depressions meds💀it's disgusting."Oops you feel numb when you take these meds? Let's raise the dosage by double and see how that goes"

    already knew basically how it would go. I knew that Nogla was most likely to score autistic. I also knew he would think autistically to get a less autistic score, cause its Nogla. Which is why we all love him. 🤣🤣🤣

    there were moments that really felt like nogla manipulating terroriser to get him to choose MORE autistic coded answers and then nogla manipulation situations to choose LESS autistic answers for himself lol but I mean lets be honest, we all know people can be too self aware of quizzes and tests like these to be genuine, like some of us know what answers to choose if we want slytherin in the harry potter quiz and we'll justify just about any reason why the answers that hint to it are the ones we relate to, and it felt that way here too and honestly its such great content to see xD never change, nogla..

    "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" means something like, if you get gifted something don't be an arse searching for flaws in the gift, accept the gift as it is!
    Because in the old times, when you buy a horse you looked at its teeth to see if it's healthy! Something like that...

    As far as being able to work your way out of autism is kind of true, you can learn to live with it and learn what triggers are and how to handle them but you can never truly escape it - I have aspergers

    I love watching people talk about autism or ADHD because I can just sit there and reflect on a lot about my life. I am diagnosed with ADD and medicated now, I just haven't gotten around to being diagnosed with autism. The big thing I've really noticed is that every autistic person has to find little tricks or try really hard to learn certain behaviors to help fit in with the norm.
