Thanks for the review! It is a good-looking figure especially with the new head sculpt, no doubt. However, it is a shame that for a new figure in the vintage collection line that Hasbro would choose to omit certain articulations (ball-jointed torso, hips, and ankles) for a major character such as Luke. I could see not having a ball-jointed torso if the costume design doesn’t allow it, but this figure certainly does. I could certainly get by with the lack of articulation, but I think my biggest complaint is the proportion of the figure’s arms. The arms, when extended fully to the side, are proportionately longer. Also, Luke’s left shoulder hangs a little lower than his right making his left arm a little longer. By the way, the jacket piece on the figure is removable and you can see how the left shoulder is not in line with the right. I think this could’ve been corrected if the legs were also a little longer (particularly in the thigh section). But as you mentioned, all of this would be barely noticeable if the figure is posed with the arms folded in the back. Another reviewer on RUclips mentioned that as long as the figure does what it’s supposed to do in the movie during the Yavin Ceremony (which is just pose and receive a medal) then it’s all good. Fair point. I was hoping that I could reenact some of the action scenes from the Marvel Star Wars comic books (Skywalker Strikes) where Luke is riding on a speeder bike. But the lack of hip and torso articulation make it difficult, if not impossible, to do so. So I guess this figure will just be purely for ceremonial purposes... which I guess is what Hasbro intended.

Wow! Just Wow!! Good job finding this early! I am definitely going to try and find this on TFF. I don't like how the photo is grainy, but maybe it was part of a group shot and they had to zoom & crop to Luke thus making the image grainy. Excellent review!

@@BossksBounty That would be really stupid considering how often I still see the one from 2015 at Walgreens. They should focus on the characters that sell not the ones that regularly go on clearance. Obviously have Rey in the line but don't produce a ton of her. Same with Poe.

Great review, nice figure, little annoyed that there are no ankles or ignited saber, but overall a really good looking figure, will get it, also missed out on the Black Series version.
storm trooper and a red Jet trooper looks awesome just wish they didn't charge $20 a pack and sold them for half the price since the Saga figures are made the same way yet they never over charged us like that, :(

I just saw this figure today in Forbidden Planet and I was going to buy one but then I noticed the top half of his body is way out of proportion with the bottom half. it just looked weird so I decided to give it a miss.
Scupt still isn't as accurate as Figuarts ROTJ Luke but it's a lot better than past Lukes Hasbros done outside of the Archive pilot one. Hairs even got a golden look similar to the Figuarts heads. They should put it on the older ROTJ body and re release it in the Archive line. I can already see that Poe and Rey not selling well if previous lines are any indication. Possibly Zorri too. I dunno about that member of Knights Of Ren. Main draws here will be this Luke and Boba Fett again. They need to do an updated headscupt version of ROTS Obi Wan.
So we're only gonna get a measly 4 figures from Episode IX in the first wave for Triple Force Friday? Out of the 10 figures on the back 3 are also re-packs/re-releases not even new figures, even the R2-D2 is just a re-paint of the Legacy Collection Build-A-Droid R2-D2 from the 2008! Hasbro need to up their game a bit, when is the next wave gonna be just before or even after the TROS movie? I was surprised that there was no Mandalorian characters either. The one good thing about this is the updated card back has more figure pictures on it.

OK, so basically you need to join the Echo Base Modern facebook group. There is also a UK Vintage Collection trading group. Other than that the sites you should be buying from are In Demand Toys, Star Action Figures or Kapow Toys

And that’s cos it’s an informal, “work” outfit? Surely his smart Ceremony outfit is the opposite of that? And it’s never been referred to as fatigues in SW? I don’t mean to sound anal! Genuinely interested in that term as it always stuck me as odd/unusual as a kid!
