Same here! One scene in particular has been stuck in my head for a _really_ long time (it had something to do with the two goons fighting over the robot joystick on a couch). I remember being too embarrassed to look for the scene because "the movie is too childish, I wouldn't forgive myself if I watched it as a soon-to-be-adult". Plus, I can't get " s-s-s-SPIDEEER!" out of my head. :D
Now that I think about it, I think that the Wizard actually knew exactly what he was doing when he was trying to rush Alice to the palace. Granted, if he was assuming that the queen would assume that Alice was her daughter, then she would have eventually failed the test of royalty and the citizens would have revolted against the princess, thinking that the royal family didn't have the royal magic needed to rule. That, or I've watched this review too many times. I think it's the latter.

***** In one of the scenes where dorothy, the tinman, scarecrow and lion (I think) are entering into the woods, in the distance you can faintly see a small dark moving object. I have no idea what it was supposed to be, but there's an urban legend that says it was one of the munchkin actors hanging himself. You should google it
Kyros Vulk-Oliver Yeah, that's pretty damn scary. And I'm 26 now and even though it's in the morning when I'm watching this and he replaced the live action movie scare with that face, I won't lie, I jumped.
***** I like Discord, Sombra was just a waste of time for me. He has no personality at all, takes 1 billion years to take back the crystal empire when Cadances shield is down and didn't really have any business to be there in the first place. Discord was different from all the other MLP villains, he didn't want power, he didn't want the throne (kind of) and he didn't have any minions with him to do his dirty work. He just wanted to cause chaos all over equestria and make CHOCOLATE RAIN. CHOCOLATE RAIN I TELL YOU. Plus I love his voice, it's soothing yet creepy at the same time. Right enough of my brony ramble, let's watch the video
personally, i really like dark heart as a villain. he's a goof at times but, hey, all villains are at some point. i feel like he actually belonged in a care bears movie more than that evil book. she was also cool but, that's the thing. she was too cool to be in a care bears movie.
Swift heart's gender is still questionable. I've spent more time than i'd like to admit looking into this, and if you go by what was originally stated (as I do) then according to the first profile of swift heart from american greeting, he is male, which is sustained throughout the DIC series, as shown in the episode "day dreams" when Professor Coldheart yells to Frostbite "get him" after he escapes on of his traps. However, throughout the nelvana series and the movies, some would say that swift heart has changed gender. The most obvious evidence of this is what was mentioned in this movie, being called the white rabbits niece. Other than that, swift heart isn't really ever mentioned in terms of gender. The matter is made even more confusing though in the comics. In issue three, "blue who", swift heart is referred to as a male and female in the same issue! The comics have been known for making constant gender mistakes though, so the Intended gender can't be confirmed.
***** That's because in the manga they realzied they couldn't continue leaving him to be ambiguous, so they refer to Crona as 'him' but the creator says that he doesn't really know what gender Crona is. That's what makes it SO confusing!
Ok I absolutely despise the fact i've even given this thought, but it seems probable to me that she had a sex change, as the uncle rabbit knew her as a female, but no longer. Kill me.
aza4444 A few of the care bears have had gender swaps throughout the series. Good Luck bear was originally a male in the DIC series, but became a female in the Nelvana series. I hate it when they change the care bears without any real reason to, that's why I don't go any where near the 3D animated series or movies. I mean, why do you have to change their tummy symbols? What does that possibly add to anything? Just keep it the same people!
I think it just depends on which care bears your watching plus I think the DIC series thought swiftheart was a boy so they made him one. But in the one with no heart (is that his name? The one with beastly and shreeky) I think she is a girl since this movie has all the same designs as those care bears (as far as I can tell) and they state her as a girl.
Wait, Side affects from Anti-Desperate? O_O;; Does Grumpy Bear take serious meds, this whole new meaning to happy pills in the Carebear world. No wonder they are always so freaking happy.
Bonus trivia: Tracey Moore, the voice of Alice, was also the voice of Princess Toadstool (Peach) in the two animated U.S. TV shows based on Super Mario.
IIRC, the writers could never decide whether the rabbit was male or female and it would bounce back and fourth depending on the episode, I think they eventually decided she was female but there is at least one episode from the first season where the rabbit is referred to as a he. It's also interesting to note that Alice actually has the same voice actress that Princess Peach had in the smb3 and smw cartoons.
10:04 "Oh yeah, they also keep being princesses when the king is dead, MIA, or otherwise not there and do a bad job of keeping their kingdom under control."
Yea...I freaked out too when I found out Swift Heart was female. I was like 3 and said wow a blue rabbit that is super fast..I love this guy..then I see this and I'm like...NOOOO!

theAngryscotman gotta be honest other than alice herself I liked the first Tim Burton movie. it's not acceptable as a adaptation of the book but as a movie I enjoy it.
The Solar Wolf Now we know why: someone told him he was making a different movie. Though, I blame corporate mandate for that movie. Tim Burton's low-budget above-the-grain movies can only get him so far before he needs a paycheck. Don't know if I'm going to see Big Eyes, but it looks far more promising than any remake he's been forced to direct. Also, they're making ANOTHER sequel to his Planet of the Apes reboot.
As soon as I saw the rapping Cheshire Cat, I had the horrible realization that I watched this movie as a kid. So, yeah, thanks for bringing back THAT memory. :P
Ok these Care Bear movies are certainly lacking but for me they're my guilty pleasures. I still love them even today. And even then it's fun to watch his reviews on them because I can understand the jokes being familiar with the movies and the show.
"The last one" WRONG there are still TWO MORE care bears movies released in the mid 00's. Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-lot and Care Bears Big Wish Movie. HA! HA! HA! HA!
That Cheshire Cat is so out of place like it's animated so much smoother and livelier and more interesting than any of the other characters. It actually looks really good in itself
You know there is only rap in this movie because it was 'popular with the kids' at the time. I'd like to imagine if there was a new Care Bears movie it would have dubstep. And the children would cry. And I would laugh.
Speaking if terrifying faces, care to look up "Nonon Jakuzure" for me? You'd be quite surprised by how many images of her contain a certain face she makes during one episode of Kill la Kill
The Jabberwocky was planned to be voiced by Stan "Pete Puma" Freberg in the Disney version, but they decided not to include him. I'd call that a reference, but I doubt the guys that made this film knew about that.

+Rachael Nadler It's not a lot, but still it could've been put to better use.
PICKLED BEATS?!?!
+IttzAndrew What the hell are they anyway...
wu1ming9shi I have no idea.
Hugh Jackman, Hugh *"I'm the Best There is at What I do, but what I do best isn't very nice"* Jackman is a F*CKING FLAMINGO IN THIS FILM!? Are you SH*TTING ME!!?
Hugh Jackman? As in, "Wolverine" Hugh Jackman? Are you shitting me? One of the most badass actors of this generation did something related to Care Bears? Well, he did play the Easter Bunny in "Rise of The Guardians", so that's kind of stretching it!
It's not Hugh Jackman it's Alan Fawcett. Look it up in IMDB
***** Man I feel embarrassed...
1aundulxaldin There is nothing to feel embarrassed about, just feel grateful it isn't actually Jackman in the role.
1aundulxaldin I thought it was just a joke
2:04
That impression was so good, it tricked me into thinking that was actually in the movie the first time.
I sound stupid, but I thought that really was in the movie! XD I know, laugh all you want.
Alyceson Grace
Don't worry, I won't do that. After all, if I call you stupid, it'll be the pot calling the kettle black. ;)
stwbmc98 Haha thanks! :)
Me too. This was the first I saw of Nostalgia Critic so I didn't know he would do those voice impressions.
I only just realized it wasn’t in the movie and it was Critic instead
Okay why the fuck did I decide to watch this at night? HOW WERE THE ANIMATORS ALLOWED TO PUT THAT SCARY FACE IN THE CARE BEARS?
I know it's only in for a split second but sooner or later some kid is going to pause on the wrong frame and have nightmares
***** Could you say the same about that 'suicidal munchkin' from the wizard of oz?
***** In one of the scenes where dorothy, the tinman, scarecrow and lion (I think) are entering into the woods, in the distance you can faintly see a small dark moving object. I have no idea what it was supposed to be, but there's an urban legend that says it was one of the munchkin actors hanging himself. You should google it
***** Yeah but a little dark for something like the wizard of oz. Imagine seeing that in the minions movie or something
Kyros Vulk-Oliver Yeah, that's pretty damn scary. And I'm 26 now and even though it's in the morning when I'm watching this and he replaced the live action movie scare with that face, I won't lie, I jumped.
kirara2516 What do you mean, live action scare?
My god... The horror you must go through.
DON'T DO THE PONY MOVIES!!!
MrToddino
he should review the movies, ive never seen them but i hate ponies and its fun to see the NC torture himself!
im not a brony so i have no fu**ing clue what you just said sorry
oh ok
Wow people are still commenting on this? Wasn't expected.
is it me, or does the Cheshire cat sound like Nostalgia Critic?
shelby4369 It's just you
No I see their point, it sounds like NC doing an impression of the "Funky Cold Medina" guy.
+Garret Graham Don't you mean Tone-Lōc?
Im now picturing the cheshire cat in NC's clothing.
Yeah I thought it was him at 17:13
personally, i really like dark heart as a villain. he's a goof at times but, hey, all villains are at some point. i feel like he actually belonged in a care bears movie more than that evil book. she was also cool but, that's the thing. she was too cool to be in a care bears movie.
lmao, the last care bear movie, until he reviewed Care Bears Nutcracker a couple days ago
Ikr
I hope he reviews the other movies
Jack Hedrick theres no more... right?
theres the computer animated ones
You know as a kid, this was my favorite of the four films besides the TV series...It's odd to look at it now
Anyone else notice the producers name is the same as the guy who runs TMZ?
+Stefan Filipovits oh god
TONIGHT ON TMZ!
wut
Satan?
WERE REALLY IMPORTANT!!!
At 9:35 those flower things look like condoms.
TomeOfBattle LOL you're comment made my day!
Wait, Side affects from Anti-Desperate? O_O;;
Does Grumpy Bear take serious meds, this whole new meaning to happy pills in the Carebear world. No wonder they are always so freaking happy.
Bonus trivia: Tracey Moore, the voice of Alice, was also the voice of Princess Toadstool (Peach) in the two animated U.S. TV shows based on Super Mario.
She's also the voice of sailor moon in season 1 of the English dub version of sailor moon.
A ruling class respecting the rule of law IS topsy turvy
Now that's some mad satire there, my brother!
Word.
TOP-SY TUR-VY!
Ok I’ll go now...
Wow I’ve never thought of it like that before that’s really poignant
8:44 How did I know the Rapping dog will come into this one soon as he said there was a rapping cat XD
11:53 that's up there with Large Marge scare.
"I think we were closer with that Susie chick with the three eyes." Given that it's Wonderland, they're probably right.
I though I'd seen all the NC stuff, didn't realized I missed this one until he referenced it in his new Alice in Wonderland video.
samsies.
And yet, this version is more faithful to Wonderland than Tim Burton's.
You Really should check for the episode summary in Wikipedia (Yes, there is one)
"There's no comparison, it's Princess Peach."
So there IS comparison then, one to Princess Peach.
Hey, hey guys...
Sonic VS Swiftheart?
5:00 I think that's the same voice actress for Usagi off Sailor Moon
*grabs every alice in wonderland book nearby* Haha! If you can't read it you won't know anything about it so you can't make stuff like this! *runs* Mweheheh!
(and I'm referring to the movie not the video)
You couldn't have done that before Tim Burton got his hands on it?
theAngryscotman gotta be honest other than alice herself I liked the first Tim Burton movie. it's not acceptable as a adaptation of the book but as a movie I enjoy it.
Phoenix reborn I thought it was a load of shite. Just a bland fantasy action movie.
theAngryscotman it's not great but it's not terrible to me. the best part was the scope the settings had. I do prefer the original
Better than Tim Burton's Version of wonderland XD
Don't you mean "Underland"?
Yes XD
I think a more appropriate term would be "more Lewis Caroll-ish".
Tim Burton's I classify as "less painful".
***** You mean "Underland"
The Solar Wolf
Now we know why: someone told him he was making a different movie.
I think I actually like that "rise and shine" song....
WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!?!?!?
Your not the only one
I kinda like what I heard of the "introduce me" song from his review of the second movie. And I also kinda like the "rise and shine" song.
I actually prefer the villain song.
I do, too
Ok these Care Bear movies are certainly lacking but for me they're my guilty pleasures. I still love them even today. And even then it's fun to watch his reviews on them because I can understand the jokes being familiar with the movies and the show.
17:07 "Oh hey look it's DARKHEART!!!"
Best Cameo ever.
oh hey look it's DARKHEAARRRRT!!! i can't believe he remembers how he said it!
Wait until he discovers the 3D Care Bears movies
Cameron Johnson Yes, those.
Cameron Johnson Yes.
Richie Duck This isn't over... _BEARS_!!!
Richie Duck i used to love those movies so much
Cameron Johnson UUUNNNLLLLIIIMMMIIIITTTTTEEEDDD!!!!!!!! CCCCCCCCAAAAARRRRREEEEBBBBEEEEAAAARRRRSSS (*-Zaps with electric rainbows-*)
These are his best reviews where he still had high quality and he made jokes and no unnecessary skits
what's lazy is that they use the same damn beat for the raps :p
That was pretty common for rap back then.
I remember I taped this movie. It was such a big part in my childhood.
"The last one" WRONG there are still TWO MORE care bears movies released in the mid 00's. Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-lot and Care Bears Big Wish Movie. HA! HA! HA! HA!
20:08 ..."I can't wait to eat (uh huh) the Carebear family"
FUCKING CANNIBAL!
A cat eating a bear isn't cannibalism....it is however ridiculous.
+Paladin Luke PICKLED BEETS
Actual Cannibal GRUMPY BEAR!
+Lu Noel that would be amazing
Indeed it would be good sir...
Indeed it would be...
Is Alice's voice the same as Sailor Moon's or is it just me?
Yes, That's voice actress Tracey Moore who played Sailor Moon's voice
The flamingo-croquet: Hugh Jackman's most obscure role.
Hugh Jackman didn't provide the voice for the flamingo. Alan Fawcett did. Look it up.
+Daniella Valadez Yeah, I made that comment just before I got that it was a joke.
Hey why was this deleted from nostalgia critics channel? I don’t see it there
Shite, that face fucking scared me... Wonder how those kids who watched this reacted...
Speaking if terrifying faces, care to look up "Nonon Jakuzure" for me? You'd be quite surprised by how many images of her contain a certain face she makes during one episode of Kill la Kill
14:50 cue the TF2 fans...
HAAAAAAAATTTZZZZZZZZZ!!!!
Stout Shako for two refined
I will give 3 refined for that Unusual Buccaneer's Bicorn you have there
HAAATS
TheWolfgabe DID YOU SEE THAT FUCKING BLIZARDDLY STORM OFFICERS USHANKA
The Jabberwocky is named Stan?..*Facepalm*
The Jabberwocky was planned to be voiced by Stan "Pete Puma" Freberg in the Disney version, but they decided not to include him.
I'd call that a reference, but I doubt the guys that made this film knew about that.
You said it Krieg!
No, Pete Puma from Looney Tunes.
I'm sure Lewis Carroll is screaming in his grave right now.
Still a better Super Mario Brothers movie than Super Mario Bros.
Oh god that face is real nightmare fuel and if a toddler saw that they would be scarred for life
is it wrong to say I like grumpy bear?
very wrong
Raymond van den Bos why?
+Tophat Tom set it to music Tommy tom.
***** Don't mind him. He's ignorant.
+Reshme
nah, grumpy is best care bear
he only cares about his food
i can relate to that
The cat definitely won that rap battle, hands down. At least he has a cool sounding voice.
A LOT of Care Cousins have unclear genders, and LOTS of contradictions. Int he comics Swift Heart is referred to as male.
+PyroGothNerd how do you know this?? i thought you were a goth
Hematite Gem
Oh, so because I'm a goth I'm not allowed to read things that aren't dark?
That FACE is going to haunt me for the rest of my life!
Thank you for nightmares! That F***ING FACE THOUGH! JEEBUS OF HEAVEN, HELP EVERYONE EVERYWHERE!
Honestly Critic, I would’ve never guessed that the stupid bears hunger was gonna build up TO A RAP!!! Just WOW
