This is a stretch, but it might be a reference to Cannibal by Waterflame, which was a song that predates the undertale fandom which got co-opted for a popular chara fight animation/fangame. I don't think this lietmotif in specific is the one that references Cannibal, but I think cannibal is referenced a couple times in nicks' work.
