- The only national park devoted to the performing arts, Wolf Trap in Virginia is once again showcasing great performances surrounded by the great outdoors. Correspondent Conor Knighton reports on the park's past and present, just in time for their 50th anniversary season.

My wife and I moved to NOVA this past year and have been fortunate enough to experience some very extraordinary concerts at Filene Center and Barns. There is a lot of work that goes into hosting these concerts and the hard work and dedication put in by volunteers is truly appreciated.
It is a microcosim of wonder. When I lived in northen Virginia, attended many performances. One I truly member is Sting and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He played for over two hours non-stop the music of his Symphoncities album. Truly magical. Glad to see live performances coming back!

I took my girl's to a Children's Day there back in 1991, I think it was They had children from all over the world performing. It was magical.

I don’t think the name Wolf Trap is positive, actually connotes an awful image.
How about Humane Wolf Trap? Typically a wolf would be trapped in today’s age in order to relocate the wolf. No need to dig into it though, and given the musical history I wouldn’t want to change the name due to some perceived slight.
I never liked opera. I love classical music but I could never get into opera. But anyways-- aren't we still in a pandemic where they want to force us vaccinate? Where's the emergency, then? People are getting together again.
