As a Kabal main, with you being my greatest influence (before your kolloseum win) I tried to avoid watching this so I can better my kabal without help and it turns out this video helped me solidify my play style. Now I just need to not fight noob and scorpion every game
I like kabal because he has power but its balanced compared to other characters. You gotta work with him but it's so rewarding in the end as oppose to characters like scorpion or jade where people just throw out moves and play sloppy. I don't see a lot of people talk about the nomad spin because of the slow startup but its very effective on people who try to roll foward wake up a lot. Stops them dead in the tracks if they want to close in on you keeping them in the corner.
Bruh only death spin players do spam all scorpion mains ask anyone require high skill to play scorpion he struggles against top tier and his everything is unsafe u need helloort cancel to make it safe unlike braindead characters like subzero and liu kang jacqui everything is safe on block and just keep hitting
I think another weakness Kabal has are air grabs and characters who can convert from landing an areal projectile like Sindel, Jade, and D’Vora. Overall he’s still pretty cool, I should practice more with him.
Awesome guide for slight gas, i usually roll low buzzsaw/hook grab/low hook grab just because he has zero strings that hit low let alone can combo into, also his zoning is garbage against like kitana or skarlet… hes unstoppable if you have them pressured but if you get cornered or zoned way out its hard to recover at least in my experience im no pro though xD
I think the argument is that without good approach options, you have no safe way to approach. With the presence cetrion has at the top level you REALLY need ways to get in. Against characters that aren’t zoners, low specials are super effective and make his corner game extremely threatening.
Can I still play kabal even if I don't have slight gas? I know that it's his best move but I honestly think that I love the low hook grab because of the mixups and no one expects it. I also use dash cancel as it helps with whiffs from my opponent.
after the nomad dash I find it hard to combo 2,3. I see walk forward I see dash. If I dont get there quick enough the opponent blocks. if I walk forward or dash the damn thing interpreting it as forward 2. combo instead. frustrating.
"Biggest weaknesses are ummm..." Absolutely nothing. Let's keep it real, he's broken. No character should have mostly mids, no unsafe strings, and that many plus strings. Absolutely zero risk, high reward. This character carries more than most.

He needed a hard nerf, it's a shame he'll never get it now :/
@@MushaFGC good players can lame you out by blocking. He gets one kb so patient players can eat that then tech him and it gets really hard. Most people ive seen including me that struggle with him struggle to play the game slow.
He is one of the best characters in the game but he is not an easy character to play with. The most effective way is with the air slight gas and that means you will be pressing way more buttons than with maybe any other character. You also need to be very active with him. He also doesn’t have almost any lows and his moves don’t reach far. My main is Noob cuz he’s my favorite character but now I’m learning Jade & Kabal and Kabal’s combos look amazing but require the most in terms of execution.
I tried all combination of Kabal and how on earth you do 3rd move as it does not exist in my version of game MK11. I was trying to at least do some parts of your combo. Wtf

As a Kabal player, honestly, just stop jumping as much. Some characters/players you just can't jump on. You could also try mixing up your timing with the air projectile or delaying your slight gas. Bait an anti air and punish the whiff.
Air gas Kabal is a boring and really stupid variation. We have Jacqui Briggs already come on. Very sad that Curbo started to play this broken variation. Yes, it is the strongest one for sure but custom Kabal with gas, dash cancels, and other options is much more interesting to play and to watch. Unfortunately, there was nothing here in this guide about "true" Kabal as Curbo played before, now air gas Kabal variation became a pop one like Jacqui Briggs or Cetrion before. I understand that especially pro players have to choose it otherwise they will lose much because everybody tries to choose something broken in this game but it is not fun to watch players and variations like this anymore, it is for primates. It is hard to play and win with fair character but it is a lot of fun to watch games and players like that. Look at ZokerKahn with his custom Kabal, look at Biohazard with his Kano, this is what is a real skill and real fun. I hope that at least some pro players will start to play in this game not to win but for fun one day to create some unusual tactics or game style.

He’s worn it since MK3.. they didn’t make up the story line until much later but it’s changed a few times

At 13:00 if instead of the jump in 2 dash 2, you dont jump and do 2 4 nomad dash, and an uppercut after, its much easier to do and does 349 damage
