The whole intro about the round with walking, finishing putts and feeling awkward marking them is a perfect setup for a blow up round...but it also hit SO CLOSE TO HOME. Honestly gave the round such a great perspective. Thanks for continuing Strapped, best series on all of youtube!
Easily the most wholesome thing I've ever seen was this episode of Strapped. Thank you guys for continuing to put these out, we are forever in your debt🙏
“Mr. Votto? Mr. Votto? Do you need any help? I just, I just want you to know that I think you’re the best ever! Do you want my Precision Pro rangefinder?”
“I made a comment earlier tonight that I guess went out over the air that I am deeply ashamed of … I pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith, and that’s another 2 foot putt missed by the Kid.
Is Randy Goose from Top Gun? He’s got the stache and having to keep Maverick (Neil) somewhat grounded…but also loves to buzz the tower and flip the bird with him
Strapped: Reno. Neil returns to the car after trying to get a hotel deal. Randy is on his phone and Neil asks "what are you doin', swiping?" Randy replies that he's watching the Reds game. I recall respecting the dedication. And these words on Votto brought it all full circle.
From finding NLU during the 2021 PGA championship because i wanted to hear some golf takes, to being absolutely giddy watching big and neil take grounders… The NLU story
I had the pleasure of seeing and holler at Randy/Phil at Pebble today during the US Women's Open - I couldn't help but just smile around the guy. Pretty sure Phil is my spirit animal.
Strapped saved me from major water damage last night. After finishing up parental responsibilities I went to the basement to watch the latest episode and found water pouring into my basement from the deluge. Caught early enough so that I was able to get towels down and bail out the pooling water outside. It's fitting that watching Icarito and Big operate on a budget actually saved me from breaking mine!
Entertaining as always, laughed a lot. This season seems to be missing a central story or tension so many of the past chapters have had. Waiting for DJ to tie it all together
I listen and watch religiously to NLU. Huge fan, but for me the essence of Strapped is the struggle finding an Airbnb, cobbling together enough money at the end of the day for a few beers. Although this is great, it is not Strapped.
The spring training theme is fantastic, and with the facial hair Neil has nailed that closing pitcher look. A lot cleaner look than Al Hrbosky’s look from the 70’s but it’s perfect. Chris nailed Randy’s too with the crafty lefty, a little wild. Great seeing grown men get to relive their youth at Spring Training.
Neil’s game coming out of round 1 to playing Wigwam and chasing the mega B was much more similar to a teepee. I.E. “reassembled and disassembled elsewhere in a matter of a few hours”
Sparky Anderson made me my first putter when i was a kid he lived at the top of my street and my grandfather played golf with him at sunset hills golf course
The start of that round really captures the awkwardness we've probably all felt - showing up a little late, rushing, paired up with 2 regulars who speed around the course because it's more about the routine than anything else. Glad the back 9 looked a little looser because I was starting to feel bad for our boys out there.
Nicely produced episode but seems like the classic Strapped days are over. Juiceless money round followed by VIP spring training tour. All good things come to an end.
I fucking love how Neil - who has played with famous people at some of the best courses in the world - gets completely thrown off his game by the vibes of a couple old ball players wanting to ride carts and pick up 3 footers
In Scottsdale's sun, Neil swings his club, Budget golf trip, amid the spring training hub. Goatee styled, short putts missed, yet he remains unfazed, in love with the game's stubborn rub.
Don't know why Neil felt the need to explain the importance of vitamin D supplementation in the language of a third base coach during the intro but I'm here for it.
Chris Welsh just mentioned this on the Reds broadcast, now dropping a follow!
welshy pegging neil as an overeager shortstop who tries too hard that he can’t lay off an outside breaking ball shows you the kind of analyst he is
Icarito!!
Neil missing so many 4 footers on the course and then Randy missing a 4 foot interaction with Votto. Sad scenes all around.
The whole intro about the round with walking, finishing putts and feeling awkward marking them is a perfect setup for a blow up round...but it also hit SO CLOSE TO HOME. Honestly gave the round such a great perspective.

Let’s be honest, nothing screams icarito more then taking two steps in on a liner in CF while it’s already flying over his head.
Making the third out at third base trying to stretch a double into a triple in a tied game
“Mr. Votto? Mr.
That's good stuff...
This is my favorite youtube series- I could watch these every night.
Dropping the smooth Steely Dan track was well done!
The kid is in the absolute wilderness with these 3 footers
More of a hiccups situation. I've been putting much better since March!
*Neil attempting to get into the ‘wow space’ after the 5-putt*
Chris, “HOW YOU LIKE THEM WIGWAM GREENS?!”
Is Randy Goose from Top Gun? He’s got the stache and having to keep Maverick (Neil) somewhat grounded…but also loves to buzz the tower and flip the bird with him
Deej continues to impress. Great stuff guys.
The game footage of Welsh flowing with his convo with Big Randy is so awesome. Keep doing your thing DJ Pie!! Great stuff!!
Could not have planned better timing for a Reds episode! Excellent content boys. Love to see it
This show makes me happy and makes the wait worth it.
What a great cross-episode. Out of the norm and sometimes it’s so refreshing.
Great work all and Pie!
Man I can listen to Randy talk Votto for hours. This ep made me go dust off my glove ⚾️
The amount of serotonin this series gives me is ridiculous, just smiling the whole episode
Love use of The Faces here. You guys always pick the best music for Strapped.
Randy’s Joey Votto rant…how can you not be romantic about baseball? Unreal 😂
Hearing Chris Welsh being excited about the Reds in spring ball 2023 and it's July and they're leading the division is great. What a year so far
Strapped: Reno. Neil returns to the car after trying to get a hotel deal. Randy is on his phone and Neil asks "what are you doin', swiping?" Randy replies that he's watching the Reds game.
I recall respecting the dedication. And these words on Votto brought it all full circle.
Thanks guys! Spit takes watching that putting performance. Then the baseball part was gold. Been there done that. Glory days!
Art work pure and simple. Hats off NLU. 👏🏻
....as there's a drive into deep left OB by Big Randy.
Just commenting to say as a Reds and NLU fan, I think this is the pinnacle for me. Great work DJ
Jesus this guy hits a ton how come nobody else picked him up?? "That's enough fast balls, Randy....throw Neil some breaking balls"
“Oh……”
I hope you guys never stop.
Not surprised and definitely delighted
From finding NLU during the 2021 PGA championship because i wanted to hear some golf takes, to being absolutely giddy watching big and neil take grounders… The NLU story
The adverts were a killer again, only redeemed by the training session interview at the end, beautiful stuff seeing the boys happy
Loved a "Feels Like a Stranger" comment from Neil. Herd of Elk may take the cake.
I'm left with the feeling that Strapped delivers better than any other. The feeling of abundance in the midst of scarcity.
Great series we have cooking up here. Amazing stuff
Touching fingies through fences with pro athletes and only missing the quota by three combined shots, the boys have come a long way
Neil's "watch out Trudeau" line killed me. Flat out dead.
I had the pleasure of seeing and holler at Randy/Phil at Pebble today during the US Women's Open - I couldn't help but just smile around the guy. Pretty sure Phil is my spirit animal.
Randy would give Votto 26/12/10 on 60% shooting from the field

DJ killing it again on this series!
Man, when I heard Steely Dan it gave me a huge smile. Make it a regular thing on Strapped.
Neil and Tom Selleck are the perfect choices from NLU to star in Strapped.
Best content on RUclips.
Entertaining as always, laughed a lot. This season seems to be missing a central story or tension so many of the past chapters have had. Waiting for DJ to tie it all together
My third-favorite Steely Dan song!
I listen and watch religiously to NLU. Huge fan, but for me the essence of Strapped is the struggle finding an Airbnb, cobbling together enough money at the end of the day for a few beers. Although this is great, it is not Strapped.
Producing back to back to back AAU national championship teams and even a gold medal in international competition.
Strapped is my fav NLU segment. WTG guys,
the metaphor of neil trying so hard he can’t a breaking ball is absolute perfection
This was a great episode boys🙌 would love to tee it up with the strapped boys some day
And give Neil some pointers in the infield hahaha. Randy looks the part
gotta say the gold at wigwam is gotta be up there with the hardest strapped courses, especially this time of year
I cant imagine how giddy and excited Randy was before that round. Dream of mine to play a round with Pat and Ron of the Cubs.
Love watching Randy smile, gotta figure out what’s happening with Neil’s putting stroke.

shoutout Justine. excellent supe-ing as always, but bringing in Poolside as the closer was👌
"We're hitting cups" - Neil, who proceeds to scoop a gimmie at 18:08 of the video.
We hit cups until the Mega B is out of range. Nobody wanted me grinding over a 10 inch putt for bogey (especially my guy Tim).
A perfect episode
Nice to see Randy Johnson and Mike Piazza hosting the episode.
gives you the energy to wake up and the will to get back on the course, these 2 lads would be in my 4 ball any day
That was if it's not it should be Emmy Award winning! I wish for once that there was less golf and more of Randy and Mr. Chris Welsh. Bravo!!!
Sparky Anderson made me my first putter when i was a kid he lived at the top of my street and my grandfather played golf with him at sunset hills golf course
Let’s not glaze over the ridiculous eyeblack that Neil somehow forgot he was wearing.
This is deeper than golf; and I'm all for it
No doubt that was the first and last time Tim Lollar ever used a pull cart.
Tired: Adults bringing their gloves to MLB games to catch a foul ball
Wired: Adults bringing their gloves to Spring Training to get a toss in
The narc went deep into his bat bag and pulled out another hit. Incredible stuff DJ.
Too good!!

Glad the back 9 looked a little looser because I was starting to feel bad for our boys out there.
My 2 favorite sports into my favorite series… tight
Stache Randy looks like he could be some random guy who threw 8 games in relief for the Yankees in 1987
Mr Big looking like he's ready for 10 cent beer night.
The BIGGEST of shout-outs to Justine for the Steely Dan. Just an immaculate vibe.
Don’t feel bad Neil, those greens are really hard…you should have asked Chris for the list of places he’s played. It’s deep!
I expect to see "this is abhorrent" t-shirts 👕 in the NLU Merch offering...soon.
S/O Poolside. I see you Pie Man
"I can shoot 105 from anywhere." One of us! One of us!
Big's feelings about Joey Votto are rivaled only by Mac's feeling about Chase Utley.
The letter to chase utley is classic sunny
Neil took Dom’s tag line “keep on swinging” too literally this round on the putting green
Nicely produced episode but seems like the classic Strapped days are over. Juiceless money round followed by VIP spring training tour. All good things come to an end.
Faces intro music. Fantastic.
neil’s putting reminds me of the feeling of being lights out from 3 but blowing every single layup you look at. tough feeling
Gold is like 7200 yards from one up. LOVE that place.
The boys say they needed to make their own juice, but Neil’s goatee inspiration Ken Caminiti was never short on supply.
Always expect a good name drop, but Bomani Jones came the rafters and caught me off guard!
6:58
“I don’t wanna catch a charge.”
Mr. Big is my leader
Big Randy’s action on his throws are genuine effortless love that out of the big guy. Neil’s action screams football/lacrosse kid growing up.
Shortstop too...I was a vacuum! But yes, not as classy as Mr. Big
@@neilschuster1871 Soft hands🫡….not a slight football/lax=athlete
The closing comment was perfect.
“You look like Peter Sellers”. French kiss!
I thought this was a golf show. What was with all the baseball stuff?
I fucking love how Neil - who has played with famous people at some of the best courses in the world - gets completely thrown off his game by the vibes of a couple old ball players wanting to ride carts and pick up 3 footers
The gold is my favorite course, and I don’t think I’ve ever noticed some of this stuff about it!
Goated Chris Welsh
Randy with the physical prowess of John Olerud and the sex appeal of Dennis Eckersley. The quintessential 80s-90s ball player
In Scottsdale's sun, Neil swings his club,
Budget golf trip, amid the spring training hub.
Goatee styled, short putts missed, yet he remains unfazed, in love with the game's stubborn rub.
Don't know why Neil felt the need to explain the importance of vitamin D supplementation in the language of a third base coach during the intro but I'm here for it.
"Can probably turn on the high fastball but starts chasing the breaking ball." - Neil's scouting report sounds a lot like Javy Baez.
Some say Mr. Welsh's transgressions on that fateful day in May are the reason they changed baseball forever.
"we hit cups on this show" *5 minutes later Neil picks up a shorty at **18:04*
