I love Eddie but his last words " Here is Mickey Spillane's KMD " is a bad misstep IMO. Surely it should be "Here is Robert Aldrich's KMD" If you so desire I can add my review of this masterpiece.
@@willieluncheonette5843 I bought the film on DVD a few years back. It was made in '54 released in '55. The camera work, the opening shots of Mike in his XK120 picking up Christina, the mysterious box full of nuclear material. It could have done with a better script. The dialogue I don't like..and I'm still not clear why Christina, an escaped patient was tortured and killed. The way way Mike get's shot at close range at the end and survives to rescue his girlfriend is not plausible, the scene where he just assumes there is a bomb under the hood of his car...
@@vincentl.9469 Many people really dislike this film. It is VERY polarizing. When I reviewed it on a noir site, many people commented that they hated it. It is one of my 13 all time favorite films. I can't believe how great it is. But we all have our own taste.

Definitely. This is definitely not Spillane's Hammer.
@@ricardocantoral7672 Spillane hated the film. But the film is a stone cold masterpiece, far ahead of it's time. The novel is trashy pulp.
