- Hello :)
This is the requested transcription I did of the Earth, Wind & Fire song "Fantasy". This was released as a single in 1978. Verdine White was the bass player on this track.
This transcription can be found at www.muzento.com under Advanced - Learning Songs subject.
This song would be good for practicing 16th note rhythms. In particular the "16th, 8th, 16th" rhythm. Sixteenth notes are really important for those who are interested in playing funk, latin, and disco (and many other styles).
This song took a special kind of touch to play, and I had to spend some time practicing it to try and get the same feel/sound/touch. The higher octave notes are really short and not all of the lower notes are always long. I've notated some of the important ones. Lighten up your touch a little and be really percussive. Look ahead at the rhythms that are coming, or you might get surprised ;)
It's a fun song to play along with. I hope you enjoy it :)
Don't forget to like and subscribe and thanks for watching :)
