He just sold the movie description so well in less than 30 seconds. But I also have to give him an astronomical amount of respect for the way he handled the film location disputes, scheduling around Daniel Craig's injury, the delays with the Land Rover thefts, and weather delays. He still has his head held high, ready to deliver, and easily stands as one of the best Bond directors in the franchise's history, among Martin Campbell and Terence Young.
My favorite James Bond movies were the one with Pierce Brosnan but now it's gonna be the one with Daniel. sure... the old one are classic... like to watch them but fuck the Logic..... "I am gonna to kill you Mr.Bond... BUT I do it with an dangeres situation where I am not here and you have the change to escape and kill me at last...."
Well the ingredients are there for sure. James Bond in an Aston Martin chasing the baddie in a Jaguar on the streets of Rome, Christoph Waltz as the main villain and the ever so gorgeous Monica Bellucci as another villain. That sounds quite a recipe.
The best part will be the part in México! ;) Ok no, all the movie because it resembles a lot to the Roger Moore era and because it has the hard action of today!
The first few scenes of SPECTRE were made here in Mexico City! Excellent film as they all are! *****Bond is best***** We make creative vids on all subjects! Bond is where partially our creativity evolved from!! 😉😊
Luther DePapier very well said. A lot of people havent even played Zelda, but when talking about video games, everybody knows that Zelda is one of the best game series ever made and therefore regard it with respect. Same goes for Bond films. Even if you havent seen them all, everybody knows how huge Bond is in the film industry.
God I love this guy. He made one of my fave movies American Beauty. Made Skyfall one of the best Bond movies ever and he gets to Bang Rebecca Hall. Dude is a legend. Bring on Spectre
***** DAMN RIGHT!!! Casino Royale MUST be the greatest Bond movie made thus far.Skyfall was great, but nothing in comparison to the Royale. As for Solace,it sucked *****.It was among the worst bond movies i've ever seen and i've seen them all, many of them behind the big screen.
In the books, Bond had a ski instructor Hannes Oberhauser, who became a father figure after his parents died. Oberhauser helped Bond conquer his fear of mountains due to his parents' death on a mountain climbing accident. Later, near the end of WWII, Oberhauser was giving an aid to an SAS Major searching for Nazi gold but when the gold was found, Oberhauser was killed. Bond would later investigate the death which was in the short story Octopussy. It'll probably be a variation and modernization of that story in which Bond will search for Oberhauser's killer. I'm just supposing Christoph Waltz/Franz Oberhauser is the son
TheGore1021 Bond's mother died when he was like 12. At the end, there was an obituary because MI6 thought Bond died in Japan. Turned out Bond disappeared with amnesia. His parents were just mentioned.
I am now super hyped for this film, the story elements relating to Bonds past give it a good continuity link to Skyfall and I love it when the MI6 crew get involved in the story, role on November
I just have a question about what this Bond film is being shot on. Is it shot entirely on film format 35mm 70mm? and also what is the name of that camera that guy is using at 0:21
Isidro Garcia Yep, checked the tech specs on IMDB: they use top notch digital formats (Skyfall was all digital and looked great) and three (!) different formats with real film (Super 35, Panavision and VistaVision/35mm horizontal) - we have to thank "true film lovers" Scorsese, Tarantino and Nolan (the latter two even refuse to shoot on anything but real film!) - who joined forces recently and made it happen: Kodak continues to produce top notch 35mm film! "Spectre" will look awesome for sure!
Isidro Garcia Great to find a fellow lover of true film! I hope my post didn't sound too "nerdy". I tried to keep the tech stuff to a minimum. Sure, we are talking just about the camera negative being real film - the rest is digital. That's fine with me. The source being film makes all the difference. I'm sure there are many more who agree with Scorsese, Tarantino and Nolan. Here is again a big thank you to these geniuses who made it possible! I can't wait for "Spectre"!
Spectre is looking good and I know it's early in saying but for the love of god don't make these 1 minute clips the only behind the scenes features on the blu ray when it's released! Lol thanks 🇬🇧
Just had a strange thought from this video. What if Bond did step down? They have an established Bond family (male M, Moneypenny, Q) helping him finish old business (SPECTRE). It could be a great farewell. NOT THAT I WANT A FAREWELL! They have been going for 50+ years, Broccolis family arent getting younger, theres very little book material left, and when I read news about Daniels replacement it seems they have no idea where to go. (news like making him a woman or casting a non-caucasian guy, which would be in no way coherant to the Bond family history in both the books and Skyfall film) I guess their hinting it a little, to fill the cinema seats. But they really don't have to, Bond is one of the only films i still want to see! Please leave comments I'm interested to know what you think about a Bond end.
I wouldn't want the series to just end, and as long as it keeps making money they'll keep being made. Plus, Bond is so big and iconic there'll always be ways to make money off of the franchise. I personally think they'll have the Craig portrayal of Bond resign, ending that character's story, and reboot the franchise again with a new actor. I think so because like you said, they've been interested in a black actor for the next Bond, and Idrid Elba has been a big one for them. If that happened, tho, they'd have to reboot. I personally don't see a problem with it, and Elba is a great actor who could pull of Bond well. I'm not being sexist with this next statement, but a female Bond would be going too far. You might as well make a new franchise with a new character at that point honestly.
Yes, you're right I never said I want it to end. I'm just wondering about the future of the franchise. Can they keep making them another 50 years? I hope they can, but they do have to tread carefully. Female Bond would definitley need to be a spin off or something. Or they could do the film from the females perspective, her getting in trouble and meeting Bond. The Book "Spy Who Loved Me" was written in that way.
He had to do it because of the story? Sure, but I think that the money they offered him did help a lot too. Don't forget that he initially descided to leave after Skyfall and now he only comes back because there is a good story? Highly unlikely.
They should put Alize Lily Mounter or Sarah Hadland in film as Goodnight character (maybe change name to Holly Goodnight). she should be nerd and Moneypenny bff and wear nerd glasses sometimes. She could add funny to movie and save Bond with Rube Goldberg techniques like in Peter Sellers style. Mmhhmm, this way film not be so dark. scene like get info on Spectre using camera with flashcube and both Bond and Spectre look like they cannot believe it. This be best funny character in years. yup.
(at end of movie credits, James bond should team up with Ethan Hunt And Bond could be in new funny action scene in Mission Impossible movie) Just have fun with movies, bring joy to people, thanks. Also Ethan hunt put on metal helmet and mask off of shelf to beat Cobra in rich man castle.
As much as I like Daniel Craig and the new cast these films are no longer James Bond films... not from their stories or the way they are directed. Suddenly, James Bond gets his Q from Jason Bourne. What a sin. Albert R Broccolli is turning over in his grave.
He just sold the movie description so well in less than 30 seconds.

TheCommanderBond007 I think that Peter Hunt is also up there as well. Even though he only directed one Bond film.
Really looking forward to this! Love the class that Sam Mendes brings to the table!
I could listen to Sam mendes talk about how he makes a bond movie all day
Dinesh Rashid You'll love the Skyfall commentary track.
Adam haha ive always been meaning to listen to that
thank god! Skyfall is one of the best Bond Movies followed by Casino Royal
Spectre will top this for sure
and the best part.... a part was shot in austria :D
My favorite James Bond movies were the one with Pierce Brosnan but now it's gonna be the one with Daniel.

i love the way they blurred out the advert on the bus passing by on the bridge lol

This franchise is to movies what The Legend of Zelda is to videogames.
Disjointed continuity?
***** I'm talking about the aura it represents.

Awesome behind the scenes footage! Mr. Mendes, you are in my all time top 3 Bond directors list.
I already know that im going to watch that movie many, many times.
God I love this guy. He made one of my fave movies American Beauty. Made Skyfall one of the best Bond movies ever and he gets to Bang Rebecca Hall. Dude is a legend. Bring on Spectre
He's 49 and she's 32. Some people have a blessed life.
I DID BETTER ! I AM EIGHTY ! MY WIFE IS FORTY ! MARRY LATE IN LIFE

Gavin48 my favorite sam mendes movie is road to perdition, I used to have that poster up on my wall for 4years
Dan Reese Why didn't you like Skyfall? I thought it was amazing!!))) - especially for the cinematography
Love the sets!
i shake hand with him on clarckenwell in 2013.very much humble person.was an honor for me..
Looks fantastic.. I NEED to see the film once it is released.
Mr. Mendes is an AWESOME director!

Awesome!! Can't wait!!
THEY ARE USING THE OLD OFFICE AGAIN ??? MAN I AM SOLD
i really can't wait for this!
I am now super hyped for this film, the story elements relating to Bonds past give it a good continuity link to Skyfall and I love it when the MI6 crew get involved in the story, role on November
I'm so glad he's using traditional film instead of digital cameras.
Oh man, already I know this will be a great film!
So great!!
This is how you find a director for a franchise, he is incredibly talented as it is, but he also wants to do this.
I just have a question about what this Bond film is being shot on.
Is it shot entirely on film format 35mm 70mm? and also what is the name of that camera that guy is using at 0:21
that what i like about sam he doesn't reveal anything of the story but intrigues you enough to want to see it
Can't wait!
This is going to be Epic and amazing!! :D
I forgot he did Spectre too
They're filming with film? AWESOME
و

RALPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is great.
Anyone seen the picture of Mr Hinx? His pistol has two barrels on it. Badass
omg is is so good
I liked this movie
I beleive that they shot the BHS by red camera :D anyone have the same feeling regarding BHS quality :D
Spectre is looking good and I know it's early in saying but for the love of god don't make these 1 minute clips the only behind the scenes features on the blu ray when it's released! Lol thanks 🇬🇧
Wow. Sounds like a meaty story will be in the movie.
cool
That sounds interesting.
I wonder if it's gonna start like it did in Skyfall where Bond is deep in the mission.
probably the case, since Mendes said that 'we don't know why Bond is doing what he's doing'
Most excellent.
Yes, it will start like that, but in a parade and in a helicopter.
sure ! umoshiroi intriguing...
0:09, 0:42, 0:56 Deleted scene
Yeah, this and no time to die had a lot of cut stuff… they took the wrong inspiration from video games xD
BOND...JAMES BOND!!!

Benjamin James Adlard Nope, no need to change a thing! A female Bond? WHAT!
So did this guy kill Bond's parents?
He had to do it because of the story? Sure, but I think that the money they offered him did help a lot too. Don't forget that he initially descided to leave after Skyfall and now he only comes back because there is a good story? Highly unlikely.

Trailer?!?! Come on!
TheGore1021 Source?
I mean that I would like to see a trailer but they are not done yet.
Oh....ok
Please don't end up with a mess that Skyfall ended up being, Mr. Mendes!
TheGore1021 wrong again!
Bond better continue!!!
This movie was such a disappointment in my opinion
Oh... American beauty. What an inspiration to say: fck this sht... Im leaving here and get a life to myself
I dont have to see the movie sam, you are gonna show it ALL in the trailer.... money men huh..
Bond wearing a beanie? Not sure about that.
As much as I like Daniel Craig and the new cast these films are no longer James Bond films... not from their

Q! Meaning directions
Still using film, jesus christ that must be a pain in the ass
