Bearded dragons and Ackies aren't really cheap. Ackies can get up to a few hundred dollars just for the reptile, not to mention how fast they go out of stock. Their enclousure needs to be massive as they are monitors, and monitors need huge enclousures to explore(5 feet long). They also need a lot more food than most other reptiles.Bearded dragons need large enclousures as well, as they are active lizards, but not as active as ackies. So, a 4 feet long enclousures should do. keep in mind that both of those need strong heat lamps and uvb, which is expensive. The cheapest reptile is the crested gecko since their enclousure is vertical, which is very space saving for people who lives in smaller homes. They also don't need heat lamps since they are nocturnal geckos.
You’ve missed the point of my video. Ackies are cheap and great for those wanting to get into monitors. I’m not saying that they are cheap for everyone, same goes for beardies, yes they need big enclosures but they make great pets and a normal costs $20-$40. Yes the crested gecko is mentioned in my other video about cheap reptiles.
The point of your video is that these reptiles shown are “cheap “ and they are just not , what point did he miss please ? Why not go make a reptile room tour vid if you want likes and revenue from your misleading videos .
I've been searching for my perfect lizard to have in the future but it's a very hard decision. I love skinks the most, they seem more inteligent than a gecko but I think blue tongue skink (which has personality like bearded dragon) is too big. Fire skinks seem more skittish and fast but I've seen chill and tamed ones too. So I'm still not sure 🙃 On every video about reptiles for beginners they put geckos and beardies, so I'm glad to know there can be more species
Bearded dragons are not beginner pets please stop making videos like this encouraging people who can’t afford supplies to go out and purchase .animals are not cheap they cost money all year round a 40 dollar bearded dragon is in really a 450 dollar dragon with the right enclosure witch the minimum size would be 120 gallons witch are 200-300 dollars plus uvb bar that’s another 80 dollars plus they feed on ate last 8 or 9 bugs a day all that adds up no where near a cheap pet so please if your not knowledgeable enough or willing to do the correct research for the correct husbandry and can’t afford one or think you can because of this video PLEASE DO NOT bearded dragons are the most abused and rehomed exotic becase of videos and mindsets like this one .
I literally talk about how if you have the means to take care of them they are a great beginner reptile. My videos are not care guides, I encourage EVERYONE to definitely research and decide what is best for them but even a crested gecko is considered ExPeNsIvE. Every reptile requires money all year round and they all require enclosures that are not cheap, the only thing I say is cheap is the reptile itself. Stop reading too much into info I never provided.

I'd say Crested geckos are a better beginner lizard than most on this list. Their care is ridiculously easy.
