Honestly I go into my local Ulta more than I walk into my local mall. So if I ever need/want anything from Morphe, I just go to Ulta. I never went into their stores. They should have chosen to be completely their own storefront or available at Ulta, but not both.
I still can’t get over that it was just days before Christmas too. Employees used their money for buying loved ones Christmas gifts expecting to still have job to make that money back after Christmas.
I was sooo close to moving out of my home state to be a store manager at Morphe, like scarily close. I just received my first ever morphe x jaclyn hill divine neutrals eyeshadow palette and I love mine so much. I've been doing my makeup a lot more since receiving her eyeshadow palette and it's so good and it's so creamy and velvety smooth and very pigmented. I also got my very first ever urban decay heavy metal glitter eyeliner in midnight cowboy and my oh my she's just so absolutely gorgeous. To get more glam/glitter I pulled out the stopper and I use my jaclyn hill small flat eyeshadow brush and get a little bit at a time and build it up to my satisfaction and to not go over the amount that I put ok my brush and it's so beautiful and so sparkly ✨️ 😊 I love it.

I knew Morphe wasn't going to last, they were very careless as we can all see. They should've took lessons from Target, as time goes you have to pay attention to where consumers are going with. Makeup went down because of the pandemic but skincare went up. I understand Morphe is a makeup brand but they never should've opened soo many stores so fast. It should've been over time and they should've started looking into haircare and skincare as well. There's so many different hair and skin types that I feel they could've really went into. They also should've fixed the issues with their brushes and makeup as well. When you decide to change what worked for ur brand to cut costs and you hear ur own customers complain about quality, thats a huge wake-up call that you need to fix something A.S.A.P. Thats just what I personally think tho.
What is particularly low and underhanded about the Morphe timing in terminating all their employees, is keeping them on through the Christmas buying rush...Then, dropping the axe. Make up in 2014-2019 was cut throat. For whatever reason it fell off. Every time I go to Morphe it was dead. Every time I went to Sephora. It was absolutely jammed packed.
I remember when I turned 18 I went to the first and only morphe store that was opened and it was such an experience! I agree they should’ve only opened a few stores and made it an experience to go there I do like how they are at Ulta. They didn't give them more notice because they needed them to work for the busy holiday season and if they would have given them notice earlier they would have been able to find employment when companies were hiring because it was very busy time of season, now this is very slow season for retail and they're just left out in the wind. That is so shady. To do this a couple days before Christmas shows you what a piece of shit company they are.

On a whim I decided to visit the Burbank location and it was 2 days prior the actual close. None of the employees at Burbank knew about the close. The store got down to 80 and the only thing left was Ariana REM, the crappy foundation, and the Ariel brush line. No one ever paid full price because a few weeks later the price point was slashed dramatically. I would pay for Laura Mercier brush or makeup but never full price for Morphe. Which is why Playa failed the price point was too high and I never tried it until it was on discount at Morphe.
I mean at some point morph even just started advertising jsc launches like what I mean I remember like they started having him open new stores with the launches of his new products even if they had other collabs coming out too.... so I agree.w u I do think morphe loss alot of their revenue when jsc n morphe cut ties.
Morphe is wrong for doin their employees like that, but a lot of other companies do the same. A warehouse company did that same thing a year ago let go of hundreds of employees right before the holidays, now they are hiring a lot of employees and everyone scared they will do it again. It’s a ugly world, I would def rather work for myself then to put my life in someone else’s hands but only so much anyone can do. ❤

I got a bunch of eyeshadow brushes by morphe and tbh I like the shape of the brushes but a lot of them feel rough on my eyes. Even if im using them gently. That and I tried the morphe continuous mist setting spray. The mist is the best I've used but the longevity of my makeup could've been better. Sometimes it felt like I'm just spraying water on my face with a really nice mister lol

I'm pretty sure everyone legally is entitled to 60 days notice for a mass layoff by federal law and if they don't get those 60 days they have to keep paying their employees (so long as the employees know that they're entitled to money) for like x amount of weeks. I don't know exacts but... I'm like at least 90% sure that's not just messed up but it's illegal. It's like workers adjustment notification laws but also even if I'm totally wrong most EMPLOYERS require a 2 week notice when an employee is gonna quit but then the company does that like wow

Drove by today and it is CLOSED! Then I saw your video! Talk about timing! I have a few of their pallets and brushes. I even have the Nikita pallet. So sad to see them go. I'm not a fan of morphe. I do however feel bad for all the employees. I don't think they are very loyal. They are just looking out for the dollar signs. I know they are a business and basically that's what it comes down to but I still find it annoying. And I know they do some good like the codes so some of the influencers can make some money. It is what it is I guess.
Linda and her Brother launched Morphe after working for Crown Brushes also in LA . The Manufacturers in China are the same . Brushes, palettes etc. Crown was set up rn to Morphe at Phame same products , different branding ..

Also when we opened stores, we used employees and a team from CA and we literally built and stocked all gondolas and acrylics. So closing they could have done the same. But the forma merge changed everything! So many crucial roles were lost and the new corporate team was awful.
Jaclyn's original palette, before they changed the formula to non vegan, was the BEST formula 👌 EVER!! Why couldn't Morphe just be honest and upfront about it? I remember at one point, Morphe had more influencer product at one time, than their own. You could tell things changed, but really didn't know exactly what it was. That's when I lost interest. RIP MORPHE...I feel like karma came around lol...but I truly feel horrible 💔 for the employees. They all got screwed, and shame on Morphe for this.

It should be illegal. They should be fined or something with doubling what would be the employees’ pay for what would have been those 2 weeks.
I think employees who work there for a certain amount of time get a severance, but I mean you won’t get a severance if you just started working there
Most employment is “at will” so I believe you don’t necessarily have to give a 2 weeks, it’s more of a courtesy

I'm not a fan of morphe. I do however feel bad for all the employees. I don't think they are very loyal. They are just looking out for the dollar signs. I know they are a business and basically that's what it comes down to but I still find it annoying.
And I know they do some good like the codes so some of the influencers can make some money.

Linda and her Brother launched Morphe after working for Crown Brushes also in LA . The Manufacturers in China are the same . Brushes, palettes etc. Crown was set up rn to Morphe at Phame same products , different branding ..
I’ve been buying tons of morphe at Ross and I wonder why months ago I started to see the brand at Ross. I’m so sad they did their employees like this. I hope they all land on their feet!

You’ll only see Linda in Jaclyn’s videos since they’re best friends. Obviously they’re both money hungry😂
Morphe is so shady and did employees like myself dirty. Once Chris and Linda sold, everything went downhill.
They paid employees all over the pay scale and barely offered full time so no one had benefits... it was awful
Also when we opened stores, we used employees and a team from CA and we literally built and stocked all gondolas and acrylics. So closing they could have done the same. But the forma merge changed everything! So many crucial roles were lost and the new corporate team was awful.
Jaclyn's original palette, before they changed the formula to non vegan, was the BEST formula 👌 EVER!! Why couldn't Morphe just be honest and upfront about it? I remember at one point, Morphe had more influencer product at one time, than their own. You could tell things changed, but really didn't know exactly what it was. That's when I lost interest. RIP MORPHE...I feel like karma came around lol...but I truly feel horrible 💔 for the employees. They all got screwed, and shame on Morphe for this.
