Gotta love vintage Montgomery escalators. The mall close to me has a few sets of these. However, I fear some of them may be facing modernization by either Schindler or KONE. There are at least 5 different companies’ equipment in the mall. Those are Otis, Montgomery, KONE, Schindler, and Westinghouse. Almost every one of these companies has an elevator and escalator with their brand on it. Except for KONE who recently started working in the area when they modernized a set of two double-file Montgomery escalators.

Very nice escalators! Sadly my JCPenney doesn’t have escalators anymore after it downsized.
