I’m 33 and I grew up with some mothers do ave em on uk gold (shows classic shows) watched with my mum he’s a comic genius and very talented singer
He is so kind and cheerful. Most of us in the US hadn't heard of Frank Spencer until we started exploring Crawford. Quite an amazing transition from a comedian and stunt performer into the Phantom.
I am biggest fan Of Michael Crawford As Frank Spencer Some Mother's Do Ave Em Series is one of my favourite Comedy shows

There is something just so lovable about that man.
Michael is a true legend. A wonderful talented actor and a wonderful human. I met him once in a well known department store in London. He was walking through one of the departments and I suddenly saw him coming towards me. Omg i thought, it’s Michael Crawford. I said hello to him and shook his hand and told him how wonderful some mothers was and also told him he was a brilliant actor. He was chuffed and said thank you so much. It’ll be a sad sad day when MC passes .

What a lovely man , and he may be much older now but to me and many of my generation he may have acted alongside Barbara Striesland , been the Phantom for Lloyd Webber ,walked the tight rope at the London Palladium as Barnum and much much more , but for me and many others he will always be FRANK SPENCER .
For me he is The Phantom first but I am so glad I started we live in the age of youtube where I have been able to discover him as the comedic genius he was as Frank Spencer and the unbelieavably sweet person he appears to be in real life.
I often say to my missus that she is the modern day Frank Spencer. Not an insult but a badge of honour. She is clumsy as a drunken elephant but the best person I ever met in my life. Positive and beautiful in every way. We need to be more Frank in our approach to life. I’m so happy that people like Frank exist. Every day in her company is a true honour.
Why this man is not Sir Michael Crawford absolutely baffles me

It's interesting to me as an American to learn of Michael Crawford's comedy beginnings. As you're probably all aware the biggest exposure Michael Crawford received in the United States was as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and in L.A. I mean it's such a serious role and then to see him in a comedy, your typical American Phantom Phan might be just a bit shocked.

he should return to the role for a one night only, or a limited engagement! He sang MOTN recently at a huge meet and greet, AND HE STILL GOT IT

Michael Crawford's brand of comdey came from a time and before, when humour wasn't vulgar or crude and over the top to the extent it is today. Past comedy such as the likes of the heyday of the BBC was far superior.

+DAVID PYPER How lucky you are to have spoken to him, even once, let alone a few times. I've been a fan of his since 1972 and in his fan club since 1992 but have never gotten close to him. The times I tried - had tickets to some of his shows, were the ones he had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. Maybe someday it'll happen. In 1993 I put a little tribute Phantom film together lip syncing to his voice and Sarah Brightman's and playing both the characters myself. It's on YT now called 'Phantom of the Opera Tribute Film - 1993' (Leigh's - that's me) if interested. It's amateur but truly heartfelt.
Michael's still got it and anything we get to see of him is wonderful.
