- Battlefield 2042 has introduced a new first look at Season 6 and the new Redux event coming to the DICE-developed FPS. Battlefield 2042 Season 6 will be bringing a new map with a dark battleground, new content, new features, and more arriving in October 2023. However, between the end of Season 5 and the start of Season 6, players can replay favorite events from past Seasons in the form of Redux.
Battlefield 2042 Redux gives players the opportunity to re-engage and earn weekly rewards. Players will find new ways to play across their favorite maps and modes, including Rush Chaos XL, Tactical Conquest, Breakthrough Chaos, Conquest Assault, and Shutdown. Rewards in Redux range from new content such as character, vehicle, and weapon skins, to previous Store content that now becomes earnable.
Battlefield 2042 Redux launches on August 29 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.

Battlefield 4 (after it was bugfixed) was peak battlefield. More close urban maps more guns that look like current guns. Just classic battlefield would be appreciated. The graphics in bf 4, 1 and 5 look better than 2042 in my opinion, 2042 looks a little cartoony to me.
Basically pushing season 6 to october to claim "Hey, you got content for whole two years." It's a shame that they get away with this drip feeding.
And reusing already known game modes and cosmetics is not new content.
This was advertised as something big where we thought they would discuss the state of the game, community wants etc. no just a season 6 trailer🤷♂️

Got this game free on psn, it was fun for a few hours but it isn't a BF game.

What's kinda lame is, the events they have are the same gameplay modes, just giving you rewards for playing. Nothing different to make the event stand out from regular gameplay

@@Murphys_Law9 DICE and EA should abandon it. Focus all their resources into the next iteration. This one flopped, and has had consistently low player counts. Sometimes you just have to realize when something isn't salvageable/worth saving. They keep putting out unfinished Battlefield games and wondering why the player base craters.

Deadest video and biggest waste of time. All they have done is reveal half a second of the new map and just replay everything they have already done.
The game is really solid now. It's missing some core bf features still but if you just want to get in and play it's worth it.
