- My human works at The Dodo... of course she made a video about me!
Even though our producer Carolina has covered countless stories about rescue dogs learning to trust their humans, she wasn’t sure the scared and trembling little dog she had just started fostering would ever open up to her. But just like in every happy Dodo story, she was patient and it so paid off ❤️

That is THE sweetest face I've ever seen on a dog. I wonder what mix of breeds is in there... because it's PERFECT. How does someone abandon such a doggo?!
That precious baby is either primarily, or purely, a duck tolling retriever.
@@TurboPikachu Pure bred Duck Tollers are a lot larger and have a longer snout, so no, if at all, that's a mix. Duck Toller Chihuahua mixes look kinda like this.
He's definitely a cutie! To me, he looks like some mix of spaniel, chihuahua, maybe with some dachsund and whippet.

A foster fail is anyone who adopts a pet they're fostering. It's not a bad thing of course, the only downside is when you adopt your foster, depending on the situation, that's less time and resources they have to devote to some other foster pet. When I fostered I definitely came close to adopting several of my foster dogs, but we found them amazing homes in the end.
I Don't think that tou understand what "foster fail"/"failure" means.
Foster failure is the best failure ever, and the one on which a person may be congratulated. 💕🐾💖

So sweet. My cat was the same way when I adopted him after being in shelters 5 years. I honestly didn’t think he would ever come near me. He is now the most loving, intuitive and affectionate cat I’ve ever seen. He demands to be held like a baby and carried around lol

Not always true, some are so traumatised that the trauma stays with them. Not every doggo can completely heal, but you can give them everything you can so they can at least live a safe, peaceful life.

@@user-gp9yh4wb6x Well in this case it's pretty important to not let people walk around genuinely thinking all dogs just recover 100% from trauma. Some people will give up on them if they believe that and it never happens

Her voice broke when she says “it wasn’t always like this”. I have never heard such a genuine tell of a truly caring and empathetic person. It still breaks her heart to think of how much her dog struggled before and it screams of a purely caring dog owner. Gave me the feels
