      @drewainge1059 Год назад +2

      Huh? How. AI is one of the most overrated players ever. Seriously, immeasurable impact? For a player who is all "me", "I". Im the star, im the starter, why would i practice?, why would I come off the bench , evennif coming off the bench is the best for the team , butts heads with the coach, antagonize media? Look at who his "ways" have influenced: melo anthony, james harden, westrbrook, maybe kyrie (without Lebron). Last time i checked, they aint winners, "me" attitude, cant accept coming off the bench past their primes... immeasurable impact on what? He has a cancerous personality in a team, "me" over team, style of play cant win... yes he is barely 6 ft with a big heart battling giants but that is about it.

    On paper this sixers team had all of the accolades that year:
    Coach of the year
    6th man of the year
    Defensive player of the year
    Reg. Season mvp
    #1 in the ECF
    But in reality the Lakers were just too much for them. At least the sixers ruin their almost perfect post season run by taking game 1 and the iconic A.I step over Tyronn Lue finishing the game with 48 points.

  • @krissifadwa

    I still can't get over at how amazing 50:51 is; only because Allen Iverson was coached by Larry Brown. Larry Brown was coached by Dean Smith. Then, Dean Smith was coached by Phog Allen...
    and finally, Phog Allen was coached by the creator and inventor of the sport we now know as basketball, which is, James Naismith. They practically kept passing their skillset and techniques of the game, through generations... and it shows in Allen Iverson's IQ. Especially after his 2001 NBA season.
    That means if Iverson were to coach in some form or fashion. Just know he's passing on something to you that was handed by the inventor of basketball. Pretty mind blowing, to think about.

      There was that, and he never seemed to get tired while playing huge minutes and getting knocked to the floor regularly. Then Nuggets Happen. that's why all of the karmas that plague 76ers till now was because of that betrayal of trust by deciding to rebuild. But still thanks the answer for making me imagine ever to play like you like having that shooting sleeve even though imma leftypeace out.

He will always be a legend PERIOD!.....But in 2023 there is one thing I know for show after looking back...Allen Iverson should have left the 76ers. They wasted years of his talent. How the fuck are you benching the best player on your team..I always said larry brown wanted to do things his way, and not realize the value iverson had... In the end,, it got larry brown kicked out the NBA...You can't bench the only great player you got just because you have a ego.... I WOULD NEVER CALL L BROWN A GREAT COACH JUST FOR THAT REASON ALONE, HIS NARCISSISM IS ASTONISHING.. The things he said publicly was amazing to me.. LARRY BROWN WAS SO BIG HEADED THAT HE EVEN CALLED AI HIS EMPLOYEE 🤦‍♂️ NO IDIOT!!!!.. HE’S UR CO-WORKER!!!! If THAT don’t sum up the BS for u then…. IDK what to tell u.. 🤦‍♂️

    The team assembled in 2001 was actually perfect. His teammates would've ran through a brick wall for Iverson. That playoff run should have left no more questions about Iverson the franchise player. No one cared about the off the court problems, media made them worse

    I never liked Larry Brown and thats probably because he was coaching a team that i liked and they whipped the team i liked lol. I didn't care for Allen Iverson after he was drafted and I think it was the attitude and him being short like i think 6'1"? But after watching this documentary I think they are both amazing!!!❤

      AI was more like 5'11 but I see your point. I think his attitude rubbed people the wrong way, due to his stint in prison. If he was clean cut with a brash attitude, he'd get praised from the jump. However in 01, he won the world over with his play and playoff run.💯💯

    The only wrong move that they made that season is trading theo for dikembe. Theo is the defensive player that year and blocking shots and running n fastbreak. Dikembe was too slow for the way they play. They only did that because they are preparing for shaq. But they still have geiger and todd, so i think theo is the perfect fit.
