8:10 part cache, use part cache module or create one to clone goblins 1000 times and just set their CFrame when they are needed, because cloning stuff can be laggy. when the goblins die, just teleport a temporary corpse and send the goblin back to its cache position with max health, when goblin spawns just teleport it to spawn position, also dont forget to reset the corpses after 15 seconds or something so there is always some of them in the cache
rather than cloning 1000, it would be better to find all the spawn points in the workspace for the goblins and the amount of spawn points = goblins cloned and then make it so once a goblin is killed it simply respawns rather than being recloned

heres an idea for Devlog 2. I think you should add a tavern like you said which is a shop where you can purchase maybe healing potions or new swords with the coins you get from killing goblins. Every area could have a new tavern which gives better loot the farther you are in the game.

You can add more enemies, weapons, (a bow would be really good) a store, gamepasses, more maps (like a abandoned town or mine)A village were you can buy stuff and find people that can give you quests, a tutorial, easter eggs, bosses (like a master goblin or somthing) food you can eat to recover life, and a stamina bar.
Character customization, races , classes , boon and flaws , etc... add all of those and more . My favourite part of an rpg is the individuality and uniqueness of everyone
I assume the reason for the goblin spawn lag is that you keep the moon animator anim saves inside them. Depending on how complex the anims is / what easing styles you used those can contain thousands of parts. I suggest deleting / putting them somewhere else so the game does not have to clone a thousand parts.

Make a death animation, like your character explodes and there are energy sparks emerging from you then it turns into a ball then it travels back to spawn and it respawns you
Idea for game: If you add an levelingup system, can you try make it like every 40 levels you need to defeat a dungeon and when you defeated it all the enemys also become stronger so you dont leave a area forever.
I suggest you change the healthbar at the top to an xp bar but who knows if your still continueing this project. You can add more depth and detail later on most people who i see make rpg games giveup half way 😅

This is kind of a suggestion, but I think it would be cool if a gui popped up and showed your balance increasing when you earn coins, kind of like in Fallout
I hope you add achievements which can reward coins if the players complete it and the reward increases depends on difficulty of the achievement also add secret ones where in the list of achievement it won't appear and there will be a letter to the player screen about keeping it secret if the player found it, the players must explore the game more themselves or with their friends to make so that the players who actually explore and put more time playing your game get rewarded, the rewards on secret ones doesn't need to be game breaking, just enough to give them a pretty big boost at their game like a good weapon or a secret skill for a specific class
Try making a folder for the Goblins in the workspace, spawn them inside of that folder and put one AI script inside of the folder that manages all of the goblins. This will make it less laggier.
^ tbh the location for the script to handle all goblin pathfinding could be interchangable for anywhere else you'd wanna use a serverscript, but the idea is there, plus to make it less laggy there doesn't need to be any actual pathfinding, just a function to update the state of the nearest player, if the nearest player is close enough to the goblin then make it chase the player, but if the player is a certain distance away from either the goblin then it goes back to the spawn position using a simple humanoid:MoveTo(pos)

Magic system suggestion: Magic elements like fire, water, wind and stuff, HOWEVER there is no type advantages that increase or decrease damage INSTEAD make each element have a UNIQUE SPECIALTY like: Basic magic elements: FIRE- specialized in wide AOE and high tier spells that can spread but slow speed. WIND- specialized in long ranged attacks with high speed, but small hit box. WATER- support magic with heal specialized spell but have weak offensive spells Earth- defensive spells that can block projectile and bind enemies but slow speed, low damage, short range

alr so my idea is to make the sword a quest. make a graveyard janitor quest giver, who will give you a quest for the goblin sword. basically kill 3 goblins to get the 3 sword pieces. then make the janitor assemble the sword pieces and you get a sword. also the current sword hit effects look like an impact instead of a slash so i would say move the current particles to the fists and get some slashing particles and give them to the sword

I have an idea for rpg a simple crafting system enemies the goblins have a chance of dropping some goblin skin this skin can be used to make a thick skinned gear with a less saturated shade of green on the darker side :) .
