Thanks! And prnt.sc/daDFfpiTs-P4 for some quick "RTA" attempt against your 1'43"666 for example ;) (with same chain as you, and yes, the mii name is wrong for the ghost), one important thing to note is to take entirely the boost panel (as if you take it to tight to the left, you have well, less boost time), in the screenshot, I don't do the wheelie thing of my TAS, just drift left and then right then wheelie (much easier)
@@Estaloy I think that might have been my problem. I wheelied in the boost and then started turning when I was no longer in the boost, which makes sense that that would be much slower. Don't know why common sense didn't kick in when I tested it but that was like 12+ years ago now lol.
@@BrettMKW tbf, I also somewhat understand it kinda went unnoticed, saves little of time (and hard to compare RTA because getting a chain or not would ruin the comparison) and the left route is just free. Funnily enough, before testing it, I was kinda already thinking about it by comparing it to rYF second boost panels being slower for spear and being like "maybe that's the same case for MH" (although the difference is way smaller here)
@@Estaloy rYF second boost panels are faster for auto spear because you can't MT around that turn which manual can do with one boost panel (trivially easy.) It's also faster to shroom at the last waterfall and not the first, but the QM involves makes it harder which is why I don't do it for 3lap. My best ever lap is 812 with final waterfall shroom and two boost panels and I know it can go into the mid 7's.
@@BrettMKW For RTA, it might be "faster", but it isn't for TAS as you still exit the turn with full wheelie speed with just the first boost panel (but yeah, it's quite tough to pull out with a good alignment so I understand nit doing it RTA lol). Funnily enough, the best lap 1 for rYF in only like 0.05 slower in automatic compared to the manual BKS, although, with the shroom on the first waterfall (I didn't make that TAS), but interesting, I guess it's worth checking at some point
This TAS is nothing short of awesome; I would have never expected automatic to beat your .021 but here you are blowing my expectations completely away. Amazing work.
Thanks a lot! I didn't expect it either when starting it, I still think spear manual would win against automatic with a more up to date TAS. Any plans to go back to MH RTA and implement the right side route?
I don't believe so, only because I already get so close to the red car before the bridge on L3. I also think the truck on the right side of the boost panels afterwards will be a problem on that sort of pace. My run is definitely improvable, though, especially if I implement a trick on L2.
Thanks! I'm very happy and surprised on how close it is to the current BKT(less than 0.2!), my best split (lap 3) is even better than Luke's run best split (lap 2) :o
True, however, I still think manual is faster, even for the spear, this TAS is much more up to date(in terms of strats) and optimized than my older manual TAS
Everytime I see you upload more mkw i have this tradition of trying to come up with something sweet and topical to comment, but this time I dont have anything topical to say
Dope stuff! I tried the right side boost panel strat and I think it could actually be useful for runs that are on .6 red car/pacelock pace to optimize the ending with. Here's a 1-1-1 1:43.805 (.55x - .620 pace roughly, about 80ms off the ideal double .55x for the red car) run I got with the different path. I lost like 50ms at the end, was probably a .7 something with that mistake fixed. It's easier on lap 3 with the cycles but I think it'll work fine on lap 1 and 2 if you go in between the middle right tollbooth instead of going to the very last one, just isn't that much practical use on either of those laps due to the pesky red car effectively limiting how fast you can go until lap 3. ruclips.net/video/Js9GNJ8-RGY/видео.html (hopefully I did it right here lol) Honestly, that truck isn't in the worst location, looking at Carters BKT I think it's possible it could even work on the pace he was on in his .4 run. (ruclips.net/video/Q5BXCL3JXNc/видео.htmlsi=4Je--OyBSuwzu2C-&t=105)
Thanks! and yeah, definitely useful for lap 3, and lap 2 if you're a bit behind pacelock. And yeah, that's one way to do it, when I experimented a bit for a more RTA use, I personally didn't bother doing the first wheelie, I just drift a bit left, then drift right and wheelie right before the run out (make it easier to have a decent line for the next turn) and still got very decent timesave compared to left route. But might also be a step forward to eventually beat the lap 3 red car one day
Wait no way, I tested that right side boost panel strat years ago and had no idea it was 30ms faster, I always lost time when I did it. Well done!
Thanks!

i'm glad to see your TAS again 🤩
Oh no... does this mean I have to keep going haha
Awesome to see you TASing again, great job!
thanks a lot!
might try that right route strat for some RTA attempts
Nice job and great to see down rounded number for speedometer
thanks!
This is really cool, well done!
thanks!
crazy how close it is to flame runner
now I think you understand why I suggested giving spear manual a shot for the TAS BKT haha
This TAS is absolutely crazy!
Thanks a lot!
Of course Brett and Carter are the two first comments i see.

15 year old Mander reference damn we are getting old
It also took 15 years for people to realize that going on the left side of the boost panel section slower than the right side when using automatic
Nice TAS!
