    Seeing the smile on your faces I can tell you enjoyed your time on the island. You sure got a good deal on the accommodation, plus you packed a lot of info in a 21 minute vlog, excellent work 👏. Just to say there’s a few things you missed, inland there’s some great hiking in the National Parks with amazing viewpoints and waterfalls, loads of amazing restaurants, really good Yoga retreats and the famous Bottle Beach, some friends of mine stayed there for 3 weeks some years ago 🏝️

    You can't retire anywhere in Thailand for $796 a month, the minimum pension to obtain a retirement visa is more than double that.

    • @toddmaek5436
      @toddmaek5436 Год назад +10

      I think the goal is retire not get a retirement visa, they are two different things. Dan knows what he is doing.

    • @cheriemiller669

      Also, if you deposit 800,000 baht in a Thai bank, you don't need to show any income for the OA retirement Visa. Your visa will cost about $1000 per year

    Hi Dan & Qiang, I really enjoyed your video. You only have to show me a beach and I fall in love. When I start travelling I will see if you are in Thailand and maybe hire you to help me find the best deal suited to me. Regardless of that, I would so like to meet you both and take you out to dinner as a thank you for both your channels which are full of information and your intelligent insights. I hope to be there within the next year 2023. Everyone at my end is saying that with my health issues I should not go. My response to them is I would rather die travelling than sat in my apartment on my own waiting to die. I will bring the equipment that I need to have a manageable life if I die. Burry or burn me local style. Thank you once again for your video.
    Take care GOD Bless you and yours. M

    Really fantastic find guys! I looked up the Airbnb. JUST WOW. It beats mine in location AND price and I'm a great deal getter if I do say so myself.
    My bungalow with AC (further South on the island) is about $13 USD/night and slightly less nice. So less nice looking and slightly worse location (because I want to be closer to the top NW corner where Reiki Healing and Yoga stuff is). Also, I don't think it has a nice, designated parking lot.
    I'll make a video of it in January and tag you guys if you wanna see it.

    Qiang - please make sure our dear internet friend, Dan, gets plenty of protein in his diet. My best friend, vegetarian all his life, has dementia (62yo), and the medical doctors blame it on his diet of very little protein. I love all your YT vids, and dream of relocating from California to one of these beautiful locations. I hope to meet you all one day.

    Great video! I loved Koh Phangan. Brings back memories traveling Thailand in my 20s. I spent a small fortune (especially for me as I was backpacking) to stay at that hotel you walked past (on the left just at Haad Rin beach). All so I could have prime location for full moon party. In the end I got so drunk I passed out on the beach itself and woke up at 9am with sand in my mouth!!! ha ha Cant wait to do it again! ;)

Finally, I’m always curious to hear about the best things to do for exploration and entertainment, and about how much they cost. Your channel is excellent. Thanks for all you do!

    You always leave out the requirements to get a visa to live in Thailand. You need to have 800,000 baht in a Thai bank to get a retirement visa. This is the most important info to include in these videos. You cannot sign a 1 year rental agreement without this visa. I addressed this some of your other videos but you gloss over this fact. At todays current USD exchange rate, this figure is $22,049.87 cash in a Thai bank. $796 USD x 12 months is only $9,552. If this is your budget good luck getting a year visa unless you have 800,000 baht to park in a Thai bank.
