      yes. in the recent years, because of improvements in computers, analysis of moving loads is performed more than before. so the fatigue life of structures like bridges and railways can be calculated more accurate than before.

    Hi, In my analysis, I used a moving pressure (did not model the tyre) on a road section. However, when I use dynamic implicit steps, I see oscillations in my deflection profile. I cannot seem to find the error in my subroutine file. Do you have any idea about this?

      hi.
      maybe only the elastic deformation occurs during the analysis or major of the deformation is in the elastic region that will be removed after the passing of the load.
      also you can do the simulation using the static general step to check whether the oscillation is because of the inertial effects or not.

    I created a model that imitated yours, but "Surfaces which include edges cannot be used with * contact pair” is displayed and it cannot be analyzed. What should I do?

      I have not seen such error before.
      in these cases, you must send your model to be checked. then I can find the mistakes and give you the solution. this is one of our paid services.

    Is it possible to create a beam as a wire part instead of a solid part and do the same analysis?

      yes. it is possible. beam elements must be used.
      the computational time will decrease too.

      you can define a cyclic amplitude for the horizontal displacement of the wheel in a single step.

    How did you decide the magnitude of velocity and angular velocity?

      the velocity of the vehicle is an input to the problem and is known.
      the angular velocity of the wheels are calculated according to the no slip assumption.

      @@FemexIran Is v = rω okay, assuming no slippage? Where v is velocity and ω is angular velocity.

      @@user-uc7rj1jd3v yes it is. if you want to model the wheel, you must use this equation for finding the angular velocity. but if you want to use subroutine, there is no need for finding the angular velocity.
