    In orthotropic material E in each direction will be different, for calculation the Cd factor=radical(E/density), which E we must substitute E1 or E2?

      hi.
      actually the formula for calculating the mechanical wave speed for orthotropic materials is not mentioned in the documentation and I don't know how does the Abaqus calculate it.

      Hi.
      Usually we don't change those parameters of the solver because they affect the simulation accuracy. We try other procedures to get the solution.

      hi. you must adjust the time period of the step and the mass scaling parameter in a way that the total kinetic energy of the deformable part(s) will be less than 10 percent of their internal energies. this is the main criterion. you can send email to us and explain your problem or question. we will review your needs and give you the cost of answering them.

      hi. I think that contact interaction must be defined between them.
