  • This tutorial provides an overview of theory and application of the Abaqus/Explicit Dynamic Analysis approach.
The use of ALE is of particular interest when analyzing the results of the example problem.

Please tell me how to adjust the dynamic explicit parameters in ABAQUS to be equivalent to the static loading? Thanks

      do you get your answer?

Hello Amr, to what parameters are you referring to? If you choose, for instance, your tool velocities to be "realistic" (let's say in the range of a couple of mm/s or similar), then you should probably employ some sort of mass-scaling. The only reason to do that is to reduce the computational time. If you want your simulation to be "equivalent" to static loading, you can simply use the actual values for your problem. In this case, the simulation might take a long time though - assuming we're talking about a ((near) quasi) static load case here.

Can ALE can be applied to S4R element type in explicit dynamic?
