Keep sharing your personal fishing experience, that’s what always draws me in as a viewer. Anecdotal knowledge is still knowledge, as it’s your experience and viewpoint. I like the spec rundown too. Tight lines to you!

Thank you. It's been a while for a rod review, but I have one or two in the works.

I just found your review series and I think it’s excellent! Keep up the good work, very thorough. I love my St. Croix rods, but I have no idea why their media content is so lacking as far as showing the different rod actions and practical uses in their lineups. (Especially such an extensive line as the legend tournament bass rods). You’re doing great work here, and much appreciated! A lot of anglers are looking for particular rods to suit their preferences or might be looking for versatility within a lineup. These reviews are insightful, balanced, and comprehensive. This enables more folks to make informed decisions which helps if folks are on a budget, or suffer from a “few too many hobbies”. (Ask me how I know). 😉

Thank you for that fantastic comment and insight! People are blinded to meaning, relevance and purpose most of the time. And they only assess value by a price tag. I will continue to do these reviews and expand. The weird thing about St Croix, they haven't even reached out to say "hay", and haven't bothered to help in any way, including with information they might what to get out about their rods. Weird! I will ask, how you you know?

I bought my first casting rod on clearance from tackle warehouse a St. Croix Legend Tournament Spinnerbait/Jig and Worm. Been a fan of that line of rods ever since.

Thanks for your review. In your opinion would this particular model also be able to handle throwing 3/8 swimjig with 3.8 keitech trailer through grass. Thanks in advance

I think yes, because I have added a Queen Tackle Switch Blade to a swing jig and caught fish with it. But, we don't have much grass in our lakes we have flooded brush. That might make a difference. I know it will throw a 3/8 bait very well with the right reel.
