One thing that really stands out from all the winning ways vlogs is the pure and unrivalled love of fishing. Any method, skill, technique, discipline, 100% passion comes through! That includes the filming and production! Amazing work guys, loved this!!! 👏👏👏
Love watching Andy, great fisherman. Have learned so much from him with regards to feeder fishing. Still got my Daiwa match rod with screw in quivers, that my father brought me back in the early 90s.
Something a little different, and what a great episode. Mr May has the skill of a commercial matchman, then he's a running water angler. More like this too please.
I fished that weir, and many of the other stretches of the Dane back in the 1980s and early 1990s. It has changed considerably since those days, and the weir pool looks a lot less turbulent than it did back in the day. To Andy's left, where the weir pool ends, and the river shallows up, is a split in the river, and an island that is about 20 yards in length. You can wade to the island, and there are one or two pegs where the barbel are abundant, and large in size.
On a closed face reel it's a pick up pin that's why the best closed faced reels had two pick up pins because you could bump fish off with one pin because of the slack line one pin created
Hi Andy totally unrelated subject but have you ever used blue maggots?!?!!? I've never used them & never heard anyone use them yet there still available to buy... why ?!?!? Am I missing something really obvious?!?

Can't beat Andy May ! 👌 he loves his real fishing & he's like a little kid again on the riverbank.
Such a massive breath of fresh air seeing this talented and enthusiastic angler fishing a natural venue rather than a stew pond! :)
"Best fish in the whole world"❤
Loved the video! Shows the beauty of fishing!
Absolute passion
Mr may is one hell of a angler and really good at explaining the techniques. Cracking Andy 👏👏

Great video.. love the pure enthusiasm coming thru 🙂
Great video Andy, and they are pick up pins on a closed face…I used to remove one on my 1044’s as they would sometimes not work properly 🎣🎣🎣🙌🏼🙌🏼

I’m starting to think you guys are psychic, was just looking for a decent Bolo video and BOOM
Steve Maher or Dave Roberts or Rory Jones or Dean Barlow on the River Wye.
Go on the closed face reel! Proper fishing Andy! ;)
My local river and my local tackle shop 👍🏻
So which are the best AAs to get a licence for fishing on the Dane??
Never used the Bolo on the Weaver. Sliders was my choice with a 14 ' Shakespeare president match rod ( which i still have ) until Poles took over 😊
I had one of those rods made by spaghetti 😂
Hi there, does anyone have any info on who has this stretch?
Hi Andy I used to be a member of bay Malton can I fish where you are without being a member thanks ian
14:47, is that a Kingfisher flying past?
looks like it

what is the difference between a Bolo and a heavy stick float?
First time i see Andy actually angling :)
Can you catch a trout on a bolo rod
Yes, especially fishing maggots you'll catch almost any species

Seems a strange way to feed while trotting, or are you feeding that way because its a SHORT trot?🤔
proper fishing, who needs commercials?
