    A great piece of family history to be passed down for many more generations. I planned on doing something similar with our family farm equipment but I’ll have to see what’s left after my nephew sold everything for scrap. Gotta love family…. Mr Tony that is an amazing blade and I’m sure they will cherish it. You still amaze me every time I see your half guard template. Thanks for sharing

    What was the process for blackening the guard?

    What color do you temper the knife at we did not see that part

      It was tempered at 400F twice for two hours each time. Color will be a straw.
