Blackheads Extractions on a 67 Years Young Female

This 67 years young woman came in to my clinic to have extractions done before going on vacation. It had been several years since we’ve last seen her.
She is a heavy smoker and loves the sun. Two factors that has contributed to her having problems with solar comedones. A solar comedones is a small colored papule found on the face of a middle - aged or older person. Solar comedones affect areas that have been exposed to sunlight over a long period of time. It may affect the skin around the eyes, temples and the neck area. This condition is also known as Faure - Racouchot Syndrome. I am looking forward to seeing her again. Hope you enjoy this video.

How am I just finding these videos now? I’ve watched Dr. Pimple Popper for years and these videos by Enilsa raise the bar. Simply put, they are better and much more satisfying!!!
Yes! She has everything I have looked for in these videos. She has amazing technique, great with clients, and educates you about skin care and conditions. I LOVE it.

Sandra Lee is good at more complicated surgeries but not this kind of work. She uses that awful metal extractor and causes a lot of damage to skin and doesn't get all the contents out.
This client just has bigger blackheads than Dr. Lee has worked on with recent clients. Since Pops died and Mr. Wilson's nose got cleaned up she hasn't had big blackheads to remove. She has been dealing with more lipomas and big cysts.

I'll be 63 in 2 weeks. Been smoking since I was 14. I don't have any blackheads on my face.

Well, there are things in the air daily we are in, oily skin attracts everything I have oily skin. This lady needs to be told to come in regular. Give her what she needs to reduce the oils. I had a friend who's skin was horrible she didn't smoke period. She went to a dermatologist her skin cleared up beautifully. It cost her some money but boy it was worth it. She didn't want to pay the money. Her skin went back to blackheads all over. I see her every once in a while still bad. But hopefully she convinces this lady to get regular help.

@@kathleenchapman3890Don't be so harsh. She may not have good eyesight as she's older and those nodules can fill up quickly so they might not be easily felt behind the ear. Enilsa did say smoking and then sun had contributed to lesions forming. If you aren't intimately familiar with the client, your opinion is just that.

The question was, why is the ear so prone to cysts. Well I see nothing that pertains to that. Actually it looks like it belongs with a different question, could that be.
I think it's because of the area. People perspire behind the ears, plus perspiration from the head/scalp causes the pores to clog. The design of the ear (lying against the side of the face) doesn't allow for much air to get to that area either. But this is just a guess on my part.

It's sad that her complexion is ruined with bad or lack of care, blackheads come mainly from dirty skin. I'm 68 and I have no acne and only 4 slight wrinkles.
@@4thandpearl blackheads absolutely do not come from dirty skin. People with acne usually over wash their skin actually. Blackheads come from excessive oil production, which has nothing to do with being dirty or unclean. This woman in this video doesn’t have blackheads, these are solar comedones. They come from excessive sun exposure or smoking. Still not from dirtiness

At first I didn’t like to watch the Q tips to extract blackheads but since you are so good about explaining the why of what you do, I have come to appreciate and enjoy watching ! Thank you !

I recently discovered videos of solar comedone extractions in elderly patients in their 70’s-90’s. Most were Asian. You are so gentle and your voice so soothing I am sorry those other folks do not have access to your service. You continue to be the first place I go to learn about skin care and be entertained as well. Your clients are looking better and better!!

I think she was trying to say the lady presented with more to do than the time allotted. Enilsa was trying to take a cosmetic approach and fix the appearance first. So big ones, obvious locations, anything causing pain. Triage of a sort to get the worst then finish up when she comes back from her trip.

Sue Smith A lot of people that don’t have bad eyesight and glasses often hide them so it’s a no-win situation. A 20x mirror is awful to look at when you have decent sight but would probably help a lot of people take care of their own skin a little better OR a little worse. Some things are better left to the experts :)
