I dont know why people need such good quality. The whole purpose is to have a video of an object hitting you or cutting you off

the issue is reliability, something like that will not hold up for long and will most likely not capture video when u need it

I got the same one for about $10 on some auction app. I've been using it for a couple days. I've been comparing different dash cams, and kind of shocked that it is as good as it is for $10. I honestly didn't expect for it to even turn on.

Probably the best unboxing video I have ever seen. Very useful to show every menu option. Also, the other stuff you covered was interesting as well. Looks like you left nothing out. I came here, because I have a similarly looking model, but without IR LEDs and wanted to see if this cam is any good at night. Mine costs 12 times as much as this pile of junk and now I know why lol

I bought one of those for my utility truck that I use once a week, at most. It does the job. For A$16, it is pretty good. Good enough for "just in case"

FOR $10 I MEAN....... It's really good for $10. If you're unsure about having a dashcam to begin with I think this is a great start.
People who complain about this camera, are the people that book a 3 star resort, and expect 5 star service. $10!!

I mean it shouldn't exist. This thing is like a 1 dollar hotel inside of a leaky toilet that hasn't been cleaned since god was a boy.
Surely, it's only 1 dollar a night, but it shouldn't exist in the first place.
Mine is fine and I am 47 not 27 and know all the great technically we have miraculously got to since the internet has been out and I don't complain about the little things.i bet if he hits my truck I will have my witness and it only cost 10 bucks it's all I need.
hi, I also bought an object car camera, how did you set the camera in the settings so that it only turns on when you start the car and when you stop the car, the camera turns off because it always stays on and I think it's consuming my car battery, no ??
What sd should you use? I tried a micro sd but it just went in and I had to get tweezers to get it out!
Video etc was interesting but the Aston dashcam FDH 1080P I have has the very small operating keys on the left & right side on the back instead of, as the one illustrated, on the bottom. Any decent suggestions or could you possibly please send me the corresponding details on mine? Thank you.

Mine always just says “damaged file” when trying to load videos on the dashcam and videos seem to just be corrupted when plugged into PC, first video after a format always works fine though

hello @ 2.45 can the time for recording be changed so it DOSEN'T record in 5 min files ??? i will be doing a 3 hour drive an want to record the whole trip in ONE FILE NOT 30 5 MIN FILES , thank you for your help
I just picked up that same camera sold under the Scosche brand name. I got it at Walmart in the US on clearance for $15. The firmware on yours is nicer with more options. The video on mine at 720P looks like your QVGA. I can't read a license plate unless I'm stopped right behind the car in front of me. I'd say you got a good deal.
Do you have a web address that lists firmware? I'd like to try your firmware on my camera.

ramdom question, and a need for advice, have the same camera (x2) have brought brand new SD cards for them today, neither one of the cameras are registering the cards, when putting the cards in to a computer they both come up so they cant both be faulty... got any ideas how to make the cameras register the SD cards...??
Did you use your computer to “format” the new cards? If not, lots of equipment won’t recognize the MicroSD cards at all.
How do I turn the lock video feature off? I pressed it once and now every single video get locked and it has filled the 32gb card :( please help
Can someone explain me please, why my new SD card is not working with that camera? I'm putting a SD Card in the slot and it still show me on the screen that "there is no card". Don't know how to fix this problem.

Hi. You will need to have it pluged in your car when you used it as the battery wont last long. I don’t know if it helps, but I ‘ve shown the directions at minute 1:20 in the video.

I have a question. Mine worked ok but from about 4 days ago, it turned on and then it just showed a car logo, but it never records. Do you have any idea on what can it be?

The internal battery only last for a couple of minutes….
I have one. I realized you really had to depress the micro SD card in all the way, so it would click and stay. Then really push down on it once, to release the SD card. Not a bad little camera for $10. bucks. Even has infra-red.
I have this cam , but i take the SD card today to check the footage but didnt work , i cannot open it in my computer , I cannot open the SD CARD , it appear but when i click it to open and check the files , the computer just start thinking and didnt open anything...
i found it listed as "XCSource Car Camera G30", so i guess the model is "G30". right??

you say its on 1080p but the readout you put up shows clearly 1280x960 with a 420p pixel format so is that your fault or the cameras?

I have been using two of them in my car (front and rear) . the problem you had with 1sec lost footage is due to you using poor quality SD card. You must use cards with high speed recording , preferably number 10 .

Put the ad card in your phone or into your pc and manage the files like that.
What abt motion detection & parking mode ...could u pls check & make a video on it....I mean through glass it can detect movement pls🙏
These cameras detect motion by analysing the video image. If it can see through the glass, it will detect motion.
So this camera has no battery and must stay plugged in?
I just bought one for $5 U.S. at Walmart on clearance. Gonna use it until I get a quality one.
I have a camera that is the exact same on the outside but seems to be using a different program. The menus are different and none of the buttons are actually "OK" or "select," meaning I can't change any option. I've been using the product for about 9 months now. Night vision is horrendous and menus are inoperable using the 8 buttons (I can move up and down the options but not select or change anything). The plastic screen and casing are warped from the sun. The upper middle section of the screen has come off the rest of the device. I've cleaned the camera lens and my windshield but the glare is still very bad in night conditions. It is possible to get perfectly functional videos from this device but they are grainy/blurry and only acceptably smooth.
I've taken my 32 GB SanDisk card from the device and watched 3x speed videos with desynced audio, though this issue might only be my computer and the windows 10 player software I'm using. I'm using a USB cable and Power Media Player now, however, and the videos are synced with the audio. The audio quality of this device is surprisingly high and I think this thing is well worth the $10 this person paid for this. The videos are in .avi format (I don't get a choice since I haven't figured out any way to change any options) and I can currently watch 332 videos on the aforementioned card. The most I would pay for this shamcorder is $25.
I successfully used footage from this camera to prove I was not at fault for a collision on an interstate and I rate this product 5/10. It gets the job done, though only just. Difficult to use! Had the camera fly off the mount the first weeks I used this camera, but another problem with the mount is the fastening ring - it becomes brittle from the sun and will snap if left stressed inside a hot car.
TL;DR: Carcam corder FHD 1080P may be used to prove innocence in a car collision; however, this product would be best for an area cooler than hot, sunny southern California. Video quality is acceptable except for at night, where any light source produces a lot of glare.

Yours works a lot better than mine. With mine the image is not that good and it's glitchy. Also, they won't hold charge even after charging for hours.

Download an .Avi file player. You have to read the book. The files are written in .Avi, so get VLC player from the Google app store, and problem solved. If you are using apple products, stop now, and get an Android. Apple is for dummies.

Wal-Marts in the states sell the exact same thing, only difference is the box. The Wal-Mart version starts out at around $20.00, and goes as high as around $25.00-$30.00. So I would say that it's a pretty fair price for an item like this one, being sold in a brick and mortar store.
Instructions say charge for 30 before first initial use. I got the same thing and it works fine. It's by onn. $20 plus tax. Night time cant seem to pick stuff up.

I got this camera and the thing won't stay on! Turn it on and it turns straight off (yes it's been left to charge) the only way it stays on is if its plugged in? Lost the receipt so cant even take it back
I had loads of these and every single one hasn’t done the job. They freeze when the heating on or it too hot outside. However camera quality is pretty decent x
For some reason mine turns on but there's like a white screen, and then it turns off and turns on again showing the same white screen. I have not used it because I have not had the chance to buy the SD card until today.

My first dashcam. £7.50 off eBay, £7.50 for a 32gb card from 7dayshop. I still have it, and for £15 it been reliable.
