    I remember my guitar teacher learning this to play with his band in high school. ‘85-‘88.
    You remind me a lot of him. Dave Kahler.
    You actually had ‘learned’ it at 38mins.
    Thanks!

    Your ability to memorise this stuff on the fly blows my mind as someone that will learn a part, think I have it down then learning the next five seconds of the song makes me forget the first part and I have to relearn it. Something like this would probably take me most of a day just to memorise it all.

    • @supernothing77
      @supernothing77 Месяц назад +1

      Don't feel bad, that's most of us and we probably just do our interpretation of it instead n of note for note. It could take on months if it's out of their comfort zone

    • @gandalf8216
      @gandalf8216 Месяц назад

      @@supernothing77 Plus, it's helpful to break it into parts and practice each part. Like Mike did in this video, when he broke the song into shorter manageable sections, not to play each section right, but to make it easier to remember. Factorization is a great mnemonic tool.

    Awesome! Love this solo 🤘🏻🔥 Birthday upload for me 😊You did great with this! I remember learning the solo in Soul Asylums Got It Pretty Good and I kind of did the same thing, started at 50% speed, upped it to 75% as I got it down better, playing along with the full track at that speed at each stage.
    I also did that same thing, playing it faster and then coming back down, it really worked for me. Thankfully I had a tutorial video from Ryan Smith which gave me the notes haha, i'm not quite a learn by ear wizard just yet, give me a few years.
    Congrats on 884k Subscribers!

    Great, great video. If you’re anything like me, if you get anywhere close to knowing a tough solo, I don’t try to get it perfect on the first sitting. I’ll sleep on it and the next day I’m usually much, much closer to nailing the piece and can work out any kinks at that point.

    Really good. Vito is one of those players who the average listener can't appreciate as much. He's so good at what he does that it just flows along, and until you go to break it down you don't realize just how incredibly intricate his parts are. Had he remained in the music industry, I suspect he would be considered by this point one of the greats of his generation. Even with his relatively short career, he's already gets those sort of "dark horse" mentions as one of the best.

    Hope things are going well. Haven't said hi for a while. I can't believe how many guitarists actually have delay on their solos all the time and didn't even realize it. It's fun once in a while, but all the time would be extremely annoying. Kirk Hammet said something about that recently too and said he doesn't like it so he doesn't do it. Do you know why Vitto Bratto quit music? In the nineties he said he was tired of all the record execs telling him to actually play worse to be more like a grunge player. He was like, you are telling me to intentionally play bad after I spent all those years practicing like crazy? The Crazy Train solo sure was helpful, right? I remember when I started there were two songs I thought if I could play I would be where I want to be - one was Crazy Train and the other was Girl Gone Bad by Van Halen.

    I"m a player of 30 years . I never found vitos solos super hard really...I never thought of him as a virtuoso and it doesn't surprise me you figured this out so quickly. Personally I think he's got some CC deville/ kirk hammet vibes in technical proficiency. With that said and I can't believe I"M saying that because Vito is my favorite player his solos are the best. They're thought out intelligently and super beautiful / melodic, but I don't think of VIto as some crazy technical player. He's simply brilliant in terms of how he structured his solos. They're a beautiful song within a song and his rhythms were equally as impressive in terms of structure too. He just took the time to think the shit out unlike a guy like yngwie whose constant improvisation gets boring and stale. . Vitos solos are timeless because he thought them out
