I've never fitted pipe but I was wondering if u want to tack two pieces up dead straight the way you did couldn't you just drop them into a length of heavy angle iron would that be quicker ?

Please don’t teach people the wrong way don’t use a beat up level like that it’s not true and also don’t use a torpedo on something that long you should minimum use a 4 foot on a piece that long

I'm struggling with 70s2 wire on 5g, way different that s6, what amparage would you recommend on a 3/16gap to get that good reinforcement on the bottom? TIA

95 -120 the hotter the better it’s a matter of how fast you can move your tungsten from bevel to Bevel and at the same time supply enough wire to ensure a great root pass after 3 and 6 o’clock Bering the machine back to a cool 90-110 amps to avoid excessive penetration

You can also reduce your gap to 5/32. So if you use 1/8th rod you don't have to feed that much. You can run @90-100. All options are hood.
