"Slope" became popular as a slur during the Vietnam War.
As an ex lorry driver myself, I can tell you it's not about standing or sitting, it's about concentrating for 9 - 10 hours a day in a 40 ton vehicle that has the potential to kill many people in one go.
Imagine doing a road trip and driving your car for that amount of hours every day.
Now triple the amount of concentration.
That's what is tiring.
But you're also right to point out that you suffer from numb bum.

Unfortunately Cancel Culture _did_ kill Top Gear in the end...
They went after Clarkson so badly that the network dropped them, hence the boys started 'The Grand Tour' but that died too. Even when Clarkson tried to start a farmstead everybody from the local council to the health inspectors harangued him on 'Clarkson's Farm'. Offended idiots hold one hell of a grudge.
That wasn't cancel culture, stop talking nonsense. Clarkson punched a producer. Anybody would be fired from their job if they punched a higher-up
