Love cow hide and fringe…what can I say. I’m here for maximalist jewelry too. I love finding vintage jewelry at thrift stores! I think there are so many trends happening this year, there is something for everyone!
Cashmere ponchos are going to be huge!! It brings in boho elements but if you get let’s say, a cream fine knit cashmere poncho - it can also be styled for “minimal” and “classic” aesthetics - so because of the versatility for a lot of styles and the comfort it will be huge!!!
Also Norway knits are gorgeous and add in an element of boho and preppy that is great. Especially if you can find them vintage/pre loved! Longchamp Roseau bags will be the “it” bag especially the tote with the silver bamboo hardware with that natural element. For bag charms, they will still be relevant but more subdued - think organic shapes like Tagua beads that the brand Hunting Season has on some of their tote bags. I think people will be into vintage rings with rubies, emerald and sapphires to bring in some color but in a timeless way. Of course vintage since they will be more affordable and unique. J crew pjs sets with stripes and piping will continue to be cute. To fill in the gap of fun and cute robes, people will get into polka dot fluffy robes since they are cute (I had a fluffy polka dot robe from 2015-2022 and can vouch how fun they are!) especially since telka robes are a bit too much money and djerf robes aren’t hyped. I would imagine that ostrich leather could make a comeback especially with the popularity of polka dots. But I also think mock croc will be huge! I think there is opportunity for more creativity with kindle cases especially with people trying to be less chronically online - think mock croc kindle cases or a case with a print from an artist on Etsy. Wallets will be card holders with mock croc - can be fun colors. I think butter yellow will be worn a lot - but I think this will be especially popular in linen sets/shirts. Same with baby blue and baby pink. I think Manolo Blahnik maysale flats will become popular since it’s a bit more “extra” but still subdued compared to other ballerina flats.
Khaki green is a colour I love along with natural green and minty / pistachio tones. Combined with blue jeans, with baby pink, light blue or burgundy for an unexpected fresh result. I think I have seen one such combo on Prada runway (winter 2024) and it looked stunning. Fringes are super fun especially on bags. They give that nonchalance aesthetic when styled properly/toned down a notch, especially on slouchy bags. I love also the cowboy style, the hats one can wear all summer. These are all time class and they stand the test of time. One trend that is missed here is baby pink. It is very fresh for summer and very feminine. I know most women find it girly, personally I find that they warm up one's complexion and dare I say make us women look younger. I bought a baby pink dress and top from Massimo Dutti premium collection last summer and they were absolutely stunning. Highly recommend especially if you have a light complexion.
