Does the Devil Know He Will Be Defeated?

Do the devil and evil angels know they will be defeated and thrown in the lake of fire when Christ returns? If so, why do they still rage in the world and against Christians?

There is a theory based on the Book of Enoch saying that demons and fallen angels are separate entities. The fallen angels have been imprisoned by God already, but the demons, who are the souls of the deceased offspring of fallen angels (after they mated with female humans) are still able to roam the earth.

I guessed that this would be the answer. Satan knew the OT well enough to quote it to Jesus. he's had sufficient time to learn and memorize the NT, so that he can consider his dreadful fate.
