The L3 panos are $40k because they were chasing those sugar daddy government contracts and weren't thinking of us common people. I was going to buy the mono adapters so I can split my RPNVG's but I'm going to get two Tanto housings and their bridge when it's available so I'll have splittable articulating goggles. I'll 100% look into the quads when they come out. I'm running middle-of-the-road gen 3 elbits so they'll be easy to match another two tubes.
Night vision and radio communication are most folks weakest points. Night vision is just so expensive and radio communication is a matter of what's legal and understanding how radios really work which most don't.

Just because they _appear_ not to enforce the rules, does not mean they are unaware. Illegal or "Pirate" radio use has been on the rise and the FCC has the technological means to pinpoint your whereabouts. Do not think for a second that you are immune from these regulations or prosecution. If people continue to abuse this supposed lack of enforcement then pretty soon all you will have left are Citizen Band radios. Good luck trying to communicate over that trash pile. @@billydanzz Depending on where I'm looking (canada, very limited options) there's either a 5 or 400 dollar difference between the Tanto and standard PVS-14 and the 14 has manual gain as a standard. So i'd have to disagree with you on maybe having to give up on manual gain.
They won’t be the same quality tubes as your 1531s. I’d wait to see what the tube specs are for the 15k ones. From what I’ve seen L3 tubed articulating quads is more around 22k

Literally _no one_ thinks of "bubba uncle" when they think 3D printing. That, and while likely not as nice as what you guys are using, there are ways to FDM with Nylon, and ABS is pretty dead.
Someone who is an NVG expert, is there a quality drop when talking about Nocturn vs other TNVC sold NODS? I'm not too savvy on NVG information yet, but seeing 15k adjustable Panos over 40k regular Panos just seems too good to be true. Unless Nocturn really is the savior we all needed.
TNVC is mostly a retailer and not an OEM meaning we design our products and set the price based on cost. The GPNVG18 you are referring to is an L3 product that is sold by TNVC and many others.

that split tanto mount would be great for doing urban exploration, especially in tighter structures.
These planos are a lot more affordable than the ones EO Tech offers

At those prices, I'd have to consider living without man gain. Provided this are decent units that is. I've never heard of them personally.
