that focus mode is actually so smart. i also feel silly about needing to place restrictions on my phone to be mentally present, but a lot of apps are designed to swallow your attention. social apps, shopping apps, and even having such convenient access to a web browser make it so easy to spend so much time in the digital space. these restrictions are a good method of self-care. great video, as always. you should share your focus mode shortcut, i'm sure many people would find it useful!

unfortunately, most apple users dont care about android. Most will just have problem what accessories to buy or upgrade like apple watch, airpods pro etc
Right. I've been playing around with home screens on android for so long (over a decade) that I got bored and now have no widgets or icons on my home screen at all. 😅

I really love this. I also have just one page with a few widgets on the Home Screen. I also removed all social media and entertainment apps from my phone. I can no longer use my phone for anything distracting or time wasting (I use my laptop for that. LOL). I also love all the vintage Apple stuff visible in your content. That old Mac laptop was fun to see!

I know I'm kinda late to the widget game but the stack mode 😱 how did I not know that before??? Always thought there's only ONE Apple's default stack
For me the "inab" mode is too easy to turn off, it kinda reminds me of oneplus zen mode but there you have to select a time at the beginning and the only way to cancel it before the timer ends is to restart your phone

Life hack: uninstall all social media apps. Problem solved. No focus mode needed.

I’d rather custom icons but the hassle is not worth it so I’m personally gonna use the ones you can create yourself with iOS 18

Is it worth to trade in my 14 Pro to 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max when they come out, or wait longer to upgrade? I have a regular 14 Pro from February 2023 with 88% battery health after a year and a half and don’t like the battery life and buggy experience (factory reset didn’t help)

I definitely like sticking with a one-page setup. It makes me think pretty hard about what icons actually deserve to be there. Needing to dig through the app drawer to find the distracting apps (Reddit is the main one for me) is really helpful. Looking forward to an update on this video once iOS 18 is available.

You need to remove the notification bar and the dock.
Make esential apps invisible and use gestures; don't use widgets, it's a mess. There should be no apps, nothing on the home screen, completely empty; apps should only be intentional.
Witch is only possible on Android!
