Waw is my fav cod game of all time. The only cod game I’ve bought numerous times from my disks being scratched up lol. Just played it today before I had to clock in. I was in 5th grade on its release. I’m 26 now.
This was the first game we bought post Christmas on 2008 when the PS3 first came out, and my dad shelled out $800 for the first generation PS3 which can play PS2 games btw. And when games where far less cheaper $40 for Call of Duty World at War. Seeing CoD:WaW in HD was like seeing the future man😅 I'm old 😂

So glad to have found your channel! Been binging the episodes so far and loving them. This is one I completely agree with, particularly your assertation that this old and "simple" formula is much better than the overly complex "system" we have in the newer iterations of CoD games. For me, personally, anything after BO4 is absolute trash. Looking forward to watching the rest of these!
This is the best Call of Duty Campaign. It pays tribute to veterans who fought in World War 2 in the most realistic way. That makes it #1 for me. Another thing that makes this game worth a full price tag is not only the introduction to Zombies and how different the guns are from CoD4. They really do feel like old weapons much harder to use than modern ones while comparing MW2 and Bo2 had the guns relatively the same overall.
The game hit the nail on the head, in every aspect. I’d love to see a genuine remaster. Same campaign, modern graphics, revamp the already great sound design, make the atmosphere of the game even more immersive yet terrifying. You’re supposed to hate war due to its gritty nature, which they already have done perfect. I know they’ve done other WW2 titles since, but none even touched this game.

@@The_GameShorts that is fully understandable. It sucks that even on new hardware we are losing the classic games from yesteryear. WaW was an amazing game and unfortunately it doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

I skipped this one when it came out because I fell into the Modern Warfare craze. When I played it years later, I thought it was pretty good. Then a few months back I played through all the CoD's available on PC from the start from 2003 to Black Ops II and after all that Call of Duty, I now rank it as the best campaign out of all of them (maybe Black Ops II with its high replay value and nice mix of near future and cold war tech comes close.) The MW series, Black Ops and Even the first couple are great but the presentation of WaW is just so damn good and the work in everything, making me feel paranoia and spray wildly in the American missions or the grim "eye for an eye" tone in the Soviet campaign, the sound design, etc. just push it past them
