We have a 2018 5x8 TC that we pull with a Subaru Outback. It still looks great after five years on the road. Todd is the real deal and stands behind his product. I'm glad you were able to get a tour of his shop to see where all the 'magic' happens.

Thanks Troy! I appreciate your comment very much. I set out to fill gaps of information I had when I was trailer shopping to make it easier for others. Enjoy the Toad! I spoke to a channel viewer who just took delivery of a Toad. They love it and are customizing it to make it "there Toad". Visiting the shop is a wonderful experience. Cary and Craig know their stuff and are legends in the teardrop community. I always enjoy visiting them. thanks for this video. I have a 2014 TC teardrop which I purchased from original owner in Winnipeg. I have been using it for four years and have crossed the country twice. These are very comfortable trailers. I need to get a couple of those vent vans.
The vent fans and window fans are a great addition for sure. I dont' know what they sell for. One trailer I looked are had the vent fans on both sides and a window fan which makes the rig very well ventilated. I am out camping in my Vistabule with a roof vent and a box fan to keep cool in 97F temps! I think I am having a good time... Thanks Stephen. I was impressed with the operation and quality of the build. I was most impressed with Todds knowledge of camping and the needs of the camper. He baked in what is needed into the design. This may seem like common sense but many makers jumped into teardops with the smell of money in the air due to the pandemic. Thanks Stephen. I did not make the connection. I saw 2 TCs on the road one in 2018 when I was circumnavigating Lake superior in my trailer. Highly recommended trip. I saw the TC parked in front of a sporting goods shop in Copper Harbor Michigan. It was the grand prize in a contest the shop was running! I actually have a video snippet of the trailer (red one). I also so one of their smallest models being towed by a mini cooper blue one) in NY state Finger Lakes region a few years ago. I love Teardropping. It fits perfectly with all my other outdoor activities perfectly!

nice idea, I am looking for some basic barebone TT, but tear-drop bed camper is too small.
Wanted some 7x14 platform be able to sleep 3 ppl, but no need for kitchen or toilet. be able to sleep across the trailer width and possible a small table dinnett to sit in. seems really hard to find such one in cheap RV.

I was there end of June for a few days. I enjoyed a walk to the Mexican restaurant just outside the entrance. Had a GREAT dinner and 2 big Margaretta's! Fun walk back photographing birds, plants, and bugs that suddenly seemed significantly important under the influence... ha ha ha. Nature is the place to be at those times. =Cosmo

Cosmo just fyi steel actually is way more compliant that aluminum as it can spring better, aluminum is very rigid and has a rougher ride quality but will be lighter which is why most people use aluminum vs steel. Steel has always offered better ride quality if you research bicycles and see that most all the custom builders use steel for better ride quality and longer life as the life expectancy of an aluminum frame bike is 7 years where a properly cared for steel bicycle will last for life.
I agree Kevin. I ride a titanium bicycle they literally last a lifetime (not sure who's lifetime). Lots of engineering decisions go into a trailer. There are several designs where the frame is integrated. Others where the frame is a platform etc. Its endless. Makers who do not offer Aluminum are recommending steel 100% of the time. Makers who are offering aluminum are recommending aluminum 100% of the time. Vistabule offers both and 80% of buyers for the upgrade to aluminum to save weight (video soon). A road bicycle frame is the suspension! It has to have spring in the fork and stays etc. Most trailer construction uses independent suspension That is - the suspension is in the Torsion axle or springs etc. Suspension is an independent system on a trailer. In my opinion a steel frame in a trailer is just as rigid as an aluminum one. little if any shock absorption is going on IMO. The Aluminum frame will require more mass for strength but saves weight which is a priority for a small car owner. In some parts of the country salt air is very rough on steel frames and frame rust thru is a common problem with steel. There is no right or wrong. Just great choices. @@CosmoWeems I have already hit subscribe I really like your videos and the salt issue is real in those northern states for sure. I do agree with TC teardrops owner with the steel is real lol. I love titanium bikes but I don’t see teardrop manufactures going that route unfortunately lol. I also do some small and teardrop camper reviews on my channel GrayLine Overland and have towed thousands of miles on and off-road and am currently trying to decide what route I’m going next as I sold my meaner bean and am looking for another way to go. They have hundreds of them on the road and no quality issues yet. Aluminum was a strategic decision for me. i (along with 80% of Vistabule buyers) want to save the 100 pounds of weight aluminum offers. Its more important that a builder have lots-O-Expereience and knowledge of the limits the materials they are working with. We live in a time where startups are diving into Teardrops for the money and dont have much experience or know what they are doing. Why did you move away from your Bean?
