Both singer Sir Russell Allen and guitar player Michael Romeo of Symphony X recorded their parts in the States. I still remember when Russell played their contributions to me on the phone, I literally cried tears of joy! This song has become one of the fan’s favourites, judging from the crowd’s reaction every time we play it live.
In this re-mixed version I put Russell’s vocals more in the foreground. Personally I also think that the amazing drums by Ed Warby sound much more powerful and crisp in this new version. Hope you agree, enjoy this great video made by Dave Letelier and Wayne Joyner!

I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say this has one of the greatest guitar solos of all time. It’s got everything, technique, emotion, feel/blues. Michael Romeo is so underrated

almost 2023, still Michael Romeo's greatest solo ever. I just cant get over it man, its fucking amazing.
I played this with my band in 2004, nobody knew what it was, but we were so joyful playing an Ayreon song (was the opening song)

One of the GOATs in the Ayreon discography, such a classic with that grandiose orchestral intro, heavy (catchy) main riff, soulful bluesy verses and cheeesy but infectious chorus!
Oh, and one of Romeo's best solos ever as well :)
This song is one of my favourite songs on this album- it really takes me out of this world
This was the song that got me into Ayreon in early 2000's and therefore has a really special place for me ♥

I am a new fan of Ayreon's music,i like this song very much, Russell is fantastic singer and the guitar solo is amazing plus the lyric video too.

I've heard your music for the first time this year and immediately became a fan. Thank you very much and all the best from Poland.
This has one of the ultimate guitar solos of all time in my humble opinion. And then the killer riff after the solo... Wow. It reminds me of the riffs after the solo in War pigs (Black Sabbath), Fear of the dark (Iron Maiden),... That's how you recognize a true metal classic. I love psychedelic images so hooray for the music video; And before I forget, the intro, the drums, the mix and the vocals are endlessly amazing as well. As good as it gets really. From the first time I heard it (when it came out), I had the feeling this song (and the whole album actually) were written specially for me. This feeling never left. What an bunch of artists.

This Album was my start on an "amazing Flight in Space". The music just spoke to me and until this day, it still does. And Arjen just made a perfect Album a bit better, listening to the songs on my way to work started my day perfectly. Thank you Arjen ... and looking forward to the Sunday Concert in 2023 again ! ;)

This is the exact song that got me hooked on Ayreon (and prog rock/metal in general) seventeen years ago, almost to the very day. Since then, Ayreon has meant more to me than almost any other band out there, and has been a vital source of joy, comfort, wonder, and inspiration for me ever since. Thank you Arjen, from the bottom of my heart. Can't wait to see you play live again next September!
