I have some news from Hamburg, germany ( you may need to research this): The public-owned Hochbahn will not reach their goal of replacing all of their buses with electric models by 2030 because apparently they won't be able to build the necessary infrastructure quickly enough. They are also currently tearing down and rebuilding the Harburg bus port (I may have already commented about this) and there are major closures on the U-Bahn system to provide step-free access at more stations. Great video as always and wishing you a speedy recovery :)

You might be aware of this already, but an extension of Helsinki tramways will open to public on 12th of August. This line is called line 13 and it will run from Pasila to Nihti with an average speed of 19 - 21 km/h. The line is 4.5 km long.

Some news from Beirut, Lebanon (no, not war news): a bus line started operating! This doesn't seem that important, but this is the first time in DECADES Beirut got a proper public transport line. It has decent buses, designated stops and all that stuff. They're planning to open several more lines (they have 96 vehicles at the moment)

Yesterday they announced 2 new things for Barcelona!!!
The project for the second phase of the connection of the 2 Tram networks through av. Diagonal has finally been finished. If the Catalan Government gets to approve their annual budget for 2025, they'll start working next summer.
On the other hand, the old Model prison finally has a plan on what to do with it (years ago it was substituted by more modern prisons, and was now resting with no purpose, waiting for this project).
They'll build a school, a public gym, a kindergarten, space for neighbourhood associations (the youth association mainly), green areas, social housing, a third age residency, and a small memorial about the old prison. All that while maintaining the structure of the old iconic building of the prison!
Oh, and a bonus, it's next to Barcelona's main train station too :)

Thank you for the videos!. There has been a new ruling by the EU mandating member counties to connect airport to High Speed Rails if they have more than 12M yearly passengers, and regional rail if they have more than 4M.

Interesting. I wonder how strict they will be on that though. I found the regulation, and states have until the end of 2040 to be in line. I hope this spurs some new projects.

Great video as usual :D It was said by many "specialists" that Europe would probably end up refusing to give us funds partly because of the gauge we will be using for the project. Guess those people didn't see their dreams realised. This is quite an interesting project, and the biggest rail project in the country, ever since we started building railways. I want to see this project succeed ^^

Subways are in the USA. The rest of the world doesn't use this word. Only Beijing uses this word. It is a synonym but using the word subway is seeing the thing according to the American way! It is not neutral.
