    That’s a fun video to watch. I’m getting ready to start working on my custom V 5 string bass kit and watching this is inspiring. Yes, my 5 string bass will likely have unbelievably bad neck dive but I don’t care. I’m probably going to play it seated with the center of the V on my leg anyway.
    You’ve got the tools, amigo!!!! Great work!!

      Thanks! food luck on your build. I used to have an SG bass that had the worst neck dive.

    Hey buddy you have a great talent and the guitar looks amazing. I am in the middle of completing a Flying V for my son and that’s how I came across your video (research). We also set up a wood shop and my son being 14 he absolutely loves being by my side as we build whatever we choose to. Not sure where you learned your craft but you had good teachers. Hoping my son follows my steps and does the same as he grows

    • @JoePierceMaker
      @JoePierceMaker  4 года назад +1

      Thanks, I learned a lot from my dad. Rather than teaching me one specific craft, he showed me how to figure things out. We made a lot of different stuff when I was a kid, from woodworking to sewing to making buckskin leather. So it's the problem solving skills that really help me when I try something new.

    There is a video on youtube touring Gibson and how they make their guitars. You should steal some of their ideas on how they use pegs to keep their templates in place. Either way I have been watching you make some guitars and man I still had all my tools so I could make one. I have rebuilt dozens but never made one from scratch.

    Next up, make a fiber glass guitar, oh yeah, and make it hollow, so it's lighter, matter of fact, make it a fiber glass, hollow bass. Also make the neck out of epoxy resin, clear, like glass. So u can see the rod inside. Peace.
    P.s. Great video.

    Wäre schon interessant sich mal seine eigene Randy Rhoads zu bauen, dummerweise fehlt mir schlicht die Werkstatt und das dafür nötige Werkzeug. Wäre ja mal eine Idee Workshops anzubieten wo man dann seine Gitarre unter fachlicher Anleitung bauen kann. Das man aber auch dann ein gewisses handwerkliches Grundwissen haben muss ist denk ich selbstverständlich.

      So, first, I built my own guitar, and filmed the process. Then, using that guitar, I improvised a song using a looper pedal. You can actually watch me record it on my second channel ruclips.net/video/Dr6Y5MV7-VY/видео.html That's the first terrible song you hear in this video. Then I wrote and recorded a second song, this time with lyrics and such. THEN, I edited all that together into the video that you just watched. So thanks for watching and commenting because that's why I do all of this.
