This dance is mystic...the guy is there and not there at the same time ...#SeneGambia,
@Katrina M usualy the dancer is an initiate...he and others go the forest to change and come out like this ..only few poeple are witness of how or what happening..
Imagine the first few colonial troops to colonize and pioneer the maps in Africa seeing a moving bush that also floats and twist like a tornado
lol
🤣😂🤣🤣
That’s why they demonised everything for their lack of understanding
Yeah, that's what bullets are for
Sounds like a damn Pokémon
This is KUMPO. Its very REAL... no magic or fake stuff. It is just phenomenal...advance African mystical dance / art form. It's only in Senegal and Gambia.
Its black magic and jinn is taking control of the bush
@@roz9971 i thought so too can you explain more pls
Honestly it’s quite clearly fake
What is this group name
I thought I saw feet

Like breakdancing
It’s a spirit not a person lmao
@@noellethomas2589 at 57 seconds you can vaguely see what looks like feet but they don't look human feet I don't know how to explain it but you can definitely see something touching down as it keeps spinning as if the entity or demon I don't know how to explain it but it's really really interesting it's peeking my curiosity right now this whole concept I've never seen before it's really like wow
@@TheDivineCallingofJesusChrist yea, especially at the spinning part; you can see what looks like feet creating the motion of the whole thing spinning about. People cannot really tell if it is really a person or a spirit
I am a Jola from the Gambia and this is our tradition... I use to try ripping some of the grass just to see if I could see a person but nothing.. it comes ready from the bush and my dad wont tell me anything about this mysterious kumpo but we use to make a fake one me and my friends 🤣🤣
Someone is in that thing I saw the 🦵 legs
there's actual people inside but they are so good at dancing that we can't notice
@genesis6_17 just curious, have you seen them in person like like original commenter has?
What! It's so beautiful 😍😍😍

The center of ignorance not art
@@ayaxzr bitch stay mad ain’t nobody got art and culture like us good bye
Kumpo is beautiful, and a cultural trace of course. But to be considered the center of art...
It's an Ancestorial dance. Honoring the Communal Ancestors and asking them to bless the community and their environment. They're not "ghost".
They probably mean “spirit.” Very common in ancestral dances to call upon the spiritual realm.
Nd we need to stop saying mythological
MS. ILBB tell me how “calling on spirits” is not black magic. Call on Jesus, because doing rituals just ain’t cutting it anymore
Call white jesus
@@imaniannissa6989 Ain’t nothing working 😂 but I don’t do Bible thumping especially with my understanding of it😂. Part of that mentality is one of a colonized/enslaved mind. You do rituals all the time when you go to a black church 😂. When you call on “Jesus” you’re calling on a spirit. When you “command/release angels” (false doctrine according to the Bible) but when you do that you are “conjuring and summoning.” When you “pray in the spirit” you are “communing” with spirits 😂. Although praying in the spirit is false doctrine according to the Bible. Being “filled with the Holy Ghost” is spiritual invocation. That’s African through and through and you don’t even know it. 😂. We have been programmed to believe any and everything is evil about Africa. It’s meant to control you.
When you read the Bible you’ll understand much more about divination and magic and what it was used for, as it’s in there and accepted. Even jesus used it 😂. You’ll also understand why the Jews don’t even believe in Jesus (demigod who impregnated his own mother....that’s not me saying it, that’s the Bible).
The Bible has tons of errors and contradictions, on top of that it’s filled with forgery and fraud. The entire gospels are forgeries and the majority of Paul’s epistles are as well. No one knows who wrote genesis, multiple authors over various time periods and Moses is considered a mythical figure. No evidence of anyone ever existing and people live off the words of men who supposedly existed (but no evidence) and who never even met “Jesus.” Last but certainly not least the majority of the Bible is from ancient Egypt and ancient Mesopotamia (African migration), it’s all up in it. Theologian scholars will tell you this. Can’t forget how people have been lied to about this as well...heaven and hell, no such thing. It’s not mentioned in the Old Testament and “Jesus” doesn’t mention it in the New Testament. That’s from Greco-Roman culture who got it from other ancient civilizations. The afterlife in the Bible consists of either “annihilation or universalism.”
Understand what black magic is. It’s not this.
Black people are the most creative people when it comes to music and dancing hands down!!!
And natural medicines.
It's the melanin intelligence!!! Yes, melanin is pure gold, a spiritual substance that runs through the core of the universe!!! That's why black folks are so spiritual, but you've been taught to dislike your melanin, your source of creativity and joy even when you face adversity!!! Ever wonder why black people still find joy and happiness, despite the torment and the oppression they've had to endure? Melanin is pure gold when it comes to healing, joy, creativity, and spiritual power, but they don't want you to know that!!! Directly linked to your pineal gland, which they've been poisoning in you all, so you never wake up to your true power!!!
@@omokaroojiire so true! We can take nothing and make it into something magical! Melanin Magic!!!! 1🤎✌🏾
BLACK FOLKS CREATED EVERY SINGLE THING ON THIS EARTH DONT EVER FORGET IT
@@CoolBreeze1968 Adam and Eve were white btw
Our people... as you can see we are made of truly particles of the universe. To spin this fast without falling over and yet creating a breathtaking image... man... a whole nother level of culture.

No man
practice makes perfect
This is me trapped in my own problems and trying to get out of it
lol
Man I'm sure brazilian Capoeira got these moves from this dance. You can tell he's turning and kicking, Capoeira's signatures moves
It looks like a tornado 😱😱😱
@Gabriel I'm just wondering if the people who created the dance saw a tornado, and if it could have inspired the dance or been an influence?
@Gabriel ah, I see, well it's really spectacular to watch!
More like those special forces snipper units
@@billtev9846 I meant when they were spinning/dancing
Being repeated by the looks of it
I like how at the end the narrator asks US for comments or _suggestions_ ...Dear Sir, there is NOTHING possible that we mere mortals could possibly suggest after seeing such creative and innovative dances within your videos...NOTHING! 💖💖
I am not saying anything about kumpo, because it's impressivenand a thing of it's kind, but...
How is a tribal old tradition innovating? Innovation requires creating something new. And creative is to create things or ideas that are complex and new. For me kumpo is nothing like that. It's more like a very unsofisticated dance and cultural trait that is highly skilled and hard to perform and master, and it creates an atmosphere that is impressive to see, it's soulful because you need a lot of soul and vitality to perform in such sportmanship way that you can feel it, but innovation and creativity wouldn't be the adjectives that I would use to describe a tribal ground traditional dance.
Innovation means changing tradition, I can't just stop getting annoyed by the modern cattle vulgar ways of defining the world. You just needed to say a "wow, so inspiring" to make it even worst
It's from my country Gambia called kumpo, by the jolas
Can you tell us why you can’t touch it? Also the music sounds like the black church in America when we “get the Holy Ghost.” 😂. I saw another video where they inches away from him like they were teasing him? 😂 is that the reason for getting so close?
Getting the Holy Ghost: ruclips.net/video/J6LA5d8jq7Q/видео.html
@ Alieu Bah, no it is from the south region of Senegal, Casamance
@@mamidiop1298 it’s also in Gambia.

How is creative? What is to be created to be creative? It's a guy with an stick in his head, believed to be a ghost, spinning fast and around. It's impressive to watch, but creative? If this is creative for you, everything is creative because you are just empty.
